- Why do people hate Dave Chappelle's newest Netflix comedy special, Sticks and Stones. Why did critics give the comedy show a low review rating on Rotten Tomatoes when audience review scores were so drastically higher?

I live in korea(it’s next to japan, and has different culture from U.S) and speak Korean and can’t speak English well. but, I’ve watched Dave’s stand up in Netflix, although I could understand nearly 80% of his joke, it was really really good and funny. So funny that even who live other side of planet can laugh.
I don’t understand why critics so uncomfortable with his joke. Is that because of all PC thing? Bcs that’s becoming real problem in here.

Critics are useless and people have to realize most of them will give anything that agrees with their political or social standings a positive review. I used to go to rotten tomatoes to see what was good when I was a teen and as I got into adulthood I realized the only person you should trust as far as quality goes is yourself.

@mitchollow, if you look for the term " sticks and ston" on rotten tomatoes you wont find the show. If you look for " sticks and stones" then you will find the show. Rotten tomatoes has without a doubt changed their search to hide the show.

I think people have always been like this, its just that now, they have more of an outlet from social media. Its mostly just petulant adults or sensitive teens, the people who grew up with the "everyone is a winner" mindset.
I didn't even know there was a new Dave Chappelle until I saw this. Just went to watch it and I personally thought it was a bit shit but I don't know why. It seemed off somehow.

Rotten Tomatoes gave a Pro-Trump documentary "Death of a Nation" a 0%. Audience gave it an 89%. Yeah, I'd say Rotten Tomatoes doesn't have it's shit straight.
i'm on the dirty left. I don't mind people making fun of minorities, if its not coming from a hateful place. There's no point being super sensitive about everything. And in this Dave Chappelle he makes fun of everyone including white people! It's not about being sensitive about a particular group. You can see he doesn't have true hatred in his heart for any of them. He's just exploring ideas, having fun with it.
Dave is all good in his views except for he just has to stick with his black side for some reason, such as defending Michael Jackson and Islam, and giving in to the racism thing that’s not there
