Beads Back: 180 Year Old Hudson Bay Company Trade Beads Returned

In October of 2020, two individuals gathered on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil Waututh to exchange a powerful piece of history.
This video documents that moment and explores the haunting colonial legacy of the Hudson's Bay Company Trade beads that were used to 'trade' everything from land to animal pelts from Indigenous nations across so-called Canada.
