- Despite all the initial issues, 2 brushroll bearings, a belt and three feeder tube patches later, this Hoover Whole House Elite lives yet again. Stay tuned for more testing and WHCC videos.
Once again VacLab never disappoints. Well done and thank you.
Hello Bill! Love your videos. First time; long time. My son wanted to know how long it took you to reassemble this vacuum in real time. Thank you.
Around 15 minutes I believe.
At the start of the video you rebuild the hand-brush. I did exactly the same to mine, as mine stopped spinning within the first 3 uses when purchased. Did yours work properly? Hoover didn’t really care when we called them. Our hand-brush is now useless. Thanks. 🇨🇦
What did you do with the Hepa filter??? I didn't see you clean it. Just took it out to see it was black and thats it. I have this exact model, the UH71230. I'm in Canada and I can't seem to find any for sale because its discontinued. However the filters should still be available separately. The housing unit for them is fine, its just the filter is dirty but I can't find only that filter.
Any suggestions??
Clean your filter as it's probably fine just like mine was.
@@VacLab you mentioned not to get the HEPA filter wet. Is just vacuuming it good enough?
@@djdocstrange it'll have to be unless you can find another one. Check eBay. I've had great luck there.
@@VacLab thanks for the advice and great video!! I found it very satisfying watching you do the entire cleaning from not working to fully functioning 💪
Mine still runs warm/hot after cleaning all filters, and checking that the brush isn’t hung-up. At a loss now. Great bunch of vids you have done though. Thanks. 🇨🇦
All vacs of this type run warm/hot in certain places. Without actual temp readings, there's no way to tell if your machine is normal or not.

I'm just vibin', eating my mother's chicken noodle soup, great video to watch while you eat some chicken noodle soup.
I'll have to try chicken noodle soup while watching one of my videos.
@@VacLab it is nice to have chicken noodle soup, it is calming to eat chicken noodle soup, after a tiring day of polishing kirby's... My next video?
Thank you fo this video it's very helpful. My wires vaccums getting hot in no time after afew minutes of starting the vaccum? Why
Your motor is under extreme stress or you have a broken wire somewhere.
hi VacLab, are the motors in these hoovers worth servicing? Im noticing the suciton isn't as strong as i remember. I maintain regularly with filter cleanings, full tear down and wash, including hose. I once reseated the motor rubber seal and it pepped it up. To this point ive just made sure things weren't rusted or bound up. Do i bust open the motor housing and clean the motor blades, any bushings or bearings to lubricate?
If the fans appear clean, I wouldn't bother tearing the motor down.
@@VacLab Ok yeah i need to clean the motors metal blades, theyre caked with fine dust. The motor housing i think, has like 6 self tappers on the shell. Is that the correct route to gain access to the blades? thanks for responding
@@ronski. I probably wouldn't know specifically, but take a peek at my extension teardown videos for generic teardown guides.
I was excited watching him re-assemble the vacuum and see how it runs, again. I wonder if he sold it back to the former owner.
The former owner bought another vacuum when he put this one at the curb.
Thanks keep them coming excellent
Great video really enjoy the insight on no bearing grease sound, also your music is awesome. Where do to get it from
Free UA-cam music library. You have access to it.
what does that 2 jaw bearing seperator/puller cost? I cant find anything reasonably priced, all the automotive shops in my area sell kits with a few msc sizes that aren't cheap.
I get everything on eBay. Search bearing puller, then sort price low to high. I paid about $7 USD.
@@VacLab appreciate it 👍
I’m not sure if the hot glue will last long. I think maybe some large diameter heat shrink tube would work. I’m gonna guess from the video that is a 2 inch diameter hose, and I know for a fact you can get heat shrink tube that large, I’ve used it for a short term repair on a sprinkler line.
In this case, hot glue will be a nearly perfect permanent solution. On the outside, I created a large "anchor" blob that will resist being sucked inward.
Thanks. I have the same Hoover wt2 that I have that has a dead motor.
Fantastic!!!
Thanks!
Does the roller brush spin?? Mine is not spinning.
Check that the belt is installed properly.
Good job buddy
4:56 funky muzak 🎉
Can you please tell or let me know how to clean the vaccune hose
@@griseldagarcia7600 remove it and run water through it. I've made many videos showing this.
Hey Bill will you please upgrade the BRUSHROLL on that Red Vacuum Cleaner To CWP?
Why would I do that since this one works just fine?
Can some one tell me why my kerby won’t turn on
Wow love this what about music I love it too who is the artist of this music
Free UA-cam library. Been using it for years.
My Hoover WindTunnel 2 will work for about 20 minutes and then the whole system shut down
You need this guy to look into iy.
Is the motor getting super hot? If it is the thermal protection circuit might be shutting it off. You'll know if it's tripping the circuit because in about 40 mins after cooling a bit, you can once again use it.
Make a video about filter queen
I don't have one.
Cam you get one
VacLab but can you get one?
@@smltv1563 if I see one super cheap, I might do a refurb video. Someone can also donate one as well.
