Wow, this is great! I have engineered hardwood and some areas are beat up with the veneer layer pulling. I have had multiple hardwood contractors come look and no one will repair because it is engineered. I assume they all want to sell me a new floor which will be huge money and something I really do not need. I might tackle this myself after all.
Подскажите как быть, образовалось расхождение между планками примерно 4 мм, предположительно из-за усадки дома, прямо посредине дома от входной двери через весь дом. Это уже под полную замену или можно что-то придумать?
@@utubesanjay what you do is lower your table saw blade such that the height equals the thickness of the lower piece of the groove. And then you make a rip cut basically cut off the lower piece of the groove. And then you can easily just put the plank piece in from above.
I wonder if it would make any sense to take the little bit cut off the bottom of the groove (or something like it) and shove it underneath the other board's tongue, so that there won't be a little gap there? Maybe it doesn't matter.
@@normasarkisian4526 Ok maybe he should've taken a flight, carry his tools and travel 1700 miles to make a $150 repair. Sounds like a good business model.

Yes, you can do it id you have extra flooring boards.
@@MrYoucandoityourself I wish I did. I would have to try and find matching boards. Is that hard with engineered flooring?
very nice
Thanks!

Great tutorial!
Thanks!
how long does it take to replace one plank?
Around 2 hours.
@@MrYoucandoityourself wow! i have 150 planks to replace!
Nice video
Thanks!
If you cut a gap in the center you could pull up on it
No, I can't, because it glued down.
I have always wondered how you get the new plank in since there will be an interference fit due to tongue on one side
When I replaced the boards, I am using same material. That’s why it’s perfect fit. Thanks!
@@MrYoucandoityourself yes I understand that part. But how do you get planks to fit from top instead of from side? Do you cut tongue off of new plank?
@@Gaba-oo4qb Yeah. Even I didnt understand that. He just placed it on top. But in reality, the tongue will not allow it. unless it is cut.

@@MrYoucandoityourself what size of the area?
One or two boards, like that 7.5x6 fit long, included in this price $350. If you need more repairing, price will be increased. thanks!
