Daniel, I stumbled upon to this video upon my spouse sharing this to me. I'm planning to attend St. Monica via livestreaming this Sunday. I am beyond impressed ... you got my tech geek out of me the whole entire time.

This is the year I didn't want LENT to end and I have been replaying the recordings of various masses and Stations of the Cross. Thank you so much!

Hi Daniel. Years ago I was confirmed at Saint Monica's, and have been thrilled to watch your lifestreams during the Easter season. I, who know nothing about production, was guessing how many cameras you have--and I was close--I came up with three. :). I love this behind-the-scenes look about how it all comes together but you didn't explain my deepest question--how do the "screen pieces" work? I sense the lectors are pre-recorded in their homes--but do they have special mikes?--and then how is that video "harvested" and transmitted to you? And my even bigger questions are about the music. Are the singers/musicians performing in real-time with each other? Is that actually live during mass, or recorded before? Are they all in separate spaces, like their homes, or somewhere at the church? Are they performing simultaneously or each person separately, and then somehow edited together later? I don't at all want to spoil the "magic" of your lovely Mass. I just want to understand, because this weird/marvelous online worship during the CoronaVirus crisis online is a bit different for every single church--and I think a lot of us are wondering, how do you amazing people behind the scenes do what you do? Thank you, and I too look forward to coming back when we can all gather in person. :)
