    When I moved to my new apartment I bought the 'Citation 200' which also has a battery so it can be moved around from room to room.
    For its size it has a very impressive sound with powerful base.
    This made me go back to the citation range for the rest of my audio for my home cinema.

    Hi, My Harman Kardon Citation Multibeam 700 sometimes loses its Wi-Fi connection when it has not been used for a long time. How can I solve this problem? And who else has this problem?

    I went to a store and listened to it and it sounds amazing, seriously better than the competition. I am however dismayed that not even a year after launch, several items are already being discontinued, and the rest of the lineup are being highly discounted. As nifty as these devices are, the lack of extended support will drive most people (like me) to Sonos.

    • @octaviasamantha
      @octaviasamantha 3 роки тому +2

      Yeah I was wondering why the prices have dropped like that as well. A part of me wants to buy bc of the major discount but I was thinking Sonos to. Lol

      @@octaviasamantha I think if youre just buying one or two, then I'd take advantage of the special and put an extended warranty on it. If you're going for a whole house setup, nothing beats Sonos from a hardware/software combo.

      It may be due to Samsung having purchased them and JBL and several others. Not the same old company it was even if the speakers rock. You would get one and enjoy it but not expect to replace a discontinued product.

    If you have the Citation Multibeam 700, together with the additional Sub.... can you add on the additional speakers or is that functionality limited to the bigger Soundbars?

    • @oipchung83
      @oipchung83 Рік тому

      No, you may add Citation surround speakers to your set, they are sold in pairs.

    Any alternatiative for ciatation tower, can i use 2 - "citation 1" as replacement for towers? I don't need big towers althout they sound awesome, but to get stero along with subwofer, soundbar and rear surround speakers, addition L R CITATION 1 would work?

    • @abdullahqaiser6050
      @abdullahqaiser6050 2 роки тому

      It would probably be better to use two surrounds one sound bar and a citation sub. That setup is awesome

    Apparently this series has been dropped so , I assume you can no longer add speakers 🔊.

    Can you link 2 citation 100s with the sub alone or do you need the bar??

    • @sdemosi
      @sdemosi 3 роки тому

      The citation bar has the WISA wireless standard for home theatre integrated into the bar, the citation surrounds, the citation towers and the citation sub. I don't believe you can use the 100s with the sub as these are only multiroom speakers, they don't have WISA built in. You need the citation bar to setup WISA. I have the full citation set at home so im very familiar with this system.

    The citation 300 and 500 airplay to watch movie will there be any audio delay?

    Do the two citation speakers require any wiring? Power? Or battery operated? Do they connect to any hub or anything? I have 2020 Samsung TV and just bought my first soundbar the Q67CT. Nothing special I know. The sound is fine but I'm mostly disappointed that the rear surround speakers must be both wired to this third device that then talks bluetooth with the soundbar. That's not wireless to me, not if they have to be "wired" together to talk to the system. So my question would be , if I my Samsung TV sends signal via bluetooth, can these two speakers replace my surround speakers that are part of the Q67Ct system? If the soundbar is communicating with the TV via ARC and the TV is communicating to the Citation speakers via bluetooth, will there be any lag? I'm desperately seeking actual, true "wireless" speakers that I could use as rear surround for sure and maybe front bookshelf speakers that all tie into my tv and soundbar. Any feedback is gratefully appreciated.

      I know your comment is over a year old, but I noticed no one answered.
      As these are WiFi connected and use Google or Alexa, they can run stand alone and pair via bluetooth. You will need power for them. Some sound bars will do ARC over HDMI depending on the model. I have used a Multibeam 700 and it does have HDMI with ARC, but at about $700 Australian, you don't get the quality you are paying for... Also, they will not integrate with another ecosystem to create a surround system . Ie: You could not use Harmon Kardon branded speakers to act as rear speakers for a different brand system.
      Honestly, don't get these to replace your Q67Ct. You will be disappointed. These may carry the Harmon Kardon Citation name, but the quality is not like the old genuine Citation amplifiers from back when quality mattered. You pay a lot for these as they carry a name, but they are not much better, if at all, than speakers that are half the price.
      If you have no current system and want your TV to sound better, and want the w*** factor of saying "Harmon Kardon" sure, pay the money. I would not recommend them at the price point.

    Does the Harman Kardon Citation series work with Alexa and the Amazon ecosystem?

    • @FreeSpokenOne
      @FreeSpokenOne 3 роки тому

      No, because it’s a Google device and Amazon considers them ‘the competition’.

    Does anyone actually have it and can tel me how is the midrange voice... loudness, and specially THE BASS of it ? I’m comparing it to JBL 5.1 , thought they are complete different devices... The bass is something that keeps me from buying more expensive devices

    • @stanllay6083
      @stanllay6083 3 роки тому

      The Harmon Kardons have better bass. I have two 300s and a one at home. Harmon Kardon own JBL, so they get the better sound quality while jbl just get party style sound.

    Sound quality aside, the multi-room and bluetooth connectivity and all the things you pushed with these are common to many devices, such as Amazon Echo's, Google Speakers, even the cheapest Nest Mini, right through to Sonos and devices like that.
    Multi-room audio, grouping speakers - that is not a selling point, even in 2020 when this video was released. Those features are standard. All devices with Chromecast can join Google speaker groups. Aside from this being "Harmon Kardon", which these days doesn't mean much given they put their name on some of the crappiest sounding laptop speakers and the name can be licensed to anyone who will pay the license fee, what do any of the "citation" systems bring to the room?
    These are nothing like the genuine Harmon Kardon Citation amplifiers made back in the day when quality mattered. Where are these devices actually made? I would be willing to bet money it is a licensed use of Citation and the Harmon Kardon name.
