When you moved to the Cotswold I did wonder how your wardrove would shift, how was Josie going to make it look beautiful and here we are loving this change.
to everyone looking for a nice barbour jacket like the one in the video, they still actually make the Beaufort to this day! In addition they have two very similar styles, the bedale and ashby, which have been around almost as long. I recommend looking around second hand apps and shops and stuff if you want one, managed to get an ashby recently for £60 on depop and i haven't stopped wearing it since it arrived at my house. Brilliant jackets, and the beaufort and bedale are actually still made in england to this day!

I feel like I have to let you know that Schöffel is a German brand, and therefore not that British at all 😄 But, to be fair, our Bavarian countryside style and yours are not that far apart ☺️ P.S.: I love your countryside style! It’s so classic, especially those tasseled boots. I believe the Duchess of Cambridge often wears the same ones!
A lot of “quintessentially” British things aren’t British at all - I felt a bit embarrassed when I divulged to my mother in law that AGAs were invented in Sweden and the name comes from Swedish, they’re not English :D
In fact, Schöffel even has a very long tradition in Germany with over 200 years. Even Jack Wolfskin, also founded in Germany with similar clothing, is sometimes mistaken to be an english brand. Which, considering their name, I could understand better then Schöffel with the ö in the middle.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s tassel boots are Penelope Chilvers, not Fairfax and Favour. Both are lovely though but the F&F Explorers are not in stock until next Autumn unfortunately-I’ve been waiting patiently for them too 😔

I moved to the countryside 2 hours north of Toronto, Canada and I did a big wardrobe change as well. Don’t know about London, but since COVID a lot of city folks are moving to the country as there’s no need to work in the office anymore! Love you and your style! Remain calm and style on!

I loved this. I have watched you for years and loved your style but couldn’t wear 90% because I have muddy dogs and horses - even the cats come in muddy some days. These are much more my thing. 😍
This winter I got two key Ralph Lauren items on sale, after patiently waiting: two-toned (black and cognac) leather riding boots and a khaki quilted walking coat with brown faux suede trim (I love suede, but wanted washability). I love them both and they are perfect for country wear. As an American, I like to buy US designers, and Ralph Lauren always has the stylish, but classic, looks I want, and great quality.
I’m honestly surprised that so many influencers recommend their products - I’ve seen so many acrylic knits filmed in videos, described as gorgeous.... they might look nice but I’m not sure they’ll feel as good. A lot of their stuff looks overpriced and not a very nice fabric, not to even mention the environmental side. I’m really not impressed with H&C, if you want good quality knits, go to Brora/house of Bruar/Johnson’s of Elgin.

@@ewurabenaofosu-aikins9498 I'm wearaing my Brora cashmere cardigan as we speak! We also go to House of Bruar a lot, being Scottish. In my opinion, the quality is top-notch - the Brora cardigan is handmade and in an absolutely gorgeous pattern. The only downsides would be the price if that's an issue, the pure cashmere products cn be really pricey as they are handmade. For slightly more affordable ones I'd recommend the lambswool cardigans, they might be slightly less soft, but at a similar price pint as Holland Cooper acrylic jumpers, so if one is happy to pay that price for Holland and Cooper then I think the 100% lambswool one is a really good buy. The feel of the fabric will be different, some people hate lambswool but think it's itchy, but I personally can't stand synthetic knits.

Swear by my old 30 year Barbour, also have a long length riding coat style, although I do not ride, with this, my Barbour hat and my old faithfull Hunters (wellys), taking the dogs out or errands in torrential rain, am dry and cozy as a door mouse :-) Looking forward to more of your country wear vlogs. When you look for your next tweed jacket, look to a Harris tweed as waterproof and will stay looking good for many years.

It's amazing how wardrobes changes due to the places where you live or just in general. I would say I would be on a more dressier side when I used to work in office but about three years ago when I got to work at home I would say I am on the more casual side of things. And Leggings, yes, I have always been living in leggings because I do not like jeans like everyone else. Thank you so much for sharing your new fashion style with us. I hope things will go back to normal soon?
I have had a pair of doc Martens since my 20 s in the mid eighties and they have been in my closet since then . Seems they never go out of fashion. I use mine for dog walks because they are so comfortable as for the Barbour I got it around the same time. It’s been re- waxed twice. Some things just seem to last the test of time or age for that matter. My daughter has discovered my clothes from my youth in the attic which brings me great joy. I used to buy 20s 30s 40s and 50s clothes back then too. They called it second hand clothing then, now it’s called vintage which has a lovely ring to it. Much better and don’t get me started on the sustainability of it all. One of the reasons for watching Josie is her sustainability values. ❤️

I have had a pair of doc Martens since my 20 s in the mid eighties and they have been in my closet since then . Seems they never go out of fashion. I use mine for dog walks because they are so comfortable as for the Barbour I got it around the same time. It’s been re- waxed twice. Some things just seem to last the test of time or age for that matter. My daughter has discovered my clothes from my youth in the attic which brings me great joy. I used to buy 20s 30s 40s and 50s clothes back then too. They called it second hand clothing then, now it’s called vintage which has a lovely ring to it. Much better and don’t get me started on the sustainability of it all. One of the reasons for watching Josie is her sustainability values. ❤️
