I am laying here at 2:00 in the morning watching coffee brew when I have to go to work tomorrow! Mr. Coffee was always best.

I grew up in those decades and I can tell you everything, just about everything, back then was so much better. I remember very well the technology boom that came in starting in the late 70’s into the 80’s and thought that was going to be so great! But I was wrong. Everything today and I mean everything! Had to be instant or people go nuts. The technology was supposed to make our lives better, instead the kids ( and even adults ) have their faces planted in a screen. Yes sir I’ll take a time machine and go back anytime
Thanks for sharing your experience! My son is almost 5 years old and I try my best to keep him off the tv & tablets. There's just SO MUCH content out there that he can consume. I believe products "back in the day" were made to last. Things these days are cheaply made and degrade very fast. Planned obsolescence seems to be the way companies build things. I have that exact coffee maker. It’s from 1975!. And indeed the commercial says what the maker does “perfect cup of coffee” it makes such a perfect cup of coffee. Doesn’t burn it, doesn’t make it too strong either. And it’s so easy to use
Mine was made in West Germany, not sure if all were made there
Hamilton seems more sophisticated, as a real almost- pour over, cleaner flavor, 🍵not muddy as the mr coffee classic drip over. M. 🧑🍳
Good observation. The hamilton beach was the first vintage coffee maker I bought and I love it. The mr. coffee is a bit more convenient because I can just make 1 cup of coffee and place a mug directly on the heating plate and the coffee just drips straight into the mug. CAn't do that with the Hamilton. BUT.. they both pretty much do the same thing. Water heats up as it goes through a pump and drips onto the coffee into the filter! Thanks for watching
I CAN'T get enough of vintage when it comes to the kitchen. I just got a Mr. Coffee from the early 80's, new and still in the box. Now I want that Mr. Coffee Jr, thanks to you. LOL. Awesome video man!!!👍👌😁
Crazy, I literally JUST brewed some coffee with my Mr. Coffee Jr. and am sippin it right now as I type this! Thank you. It's small and that's why I love it. Where did you get your brand Mr. Coffee machine? Btw, i'll upload a new video soon of my used Hamilton Beach mini drip circa 1970s. It's pretty legit!
I still have my vintage norelco dial a brew I bought in 1978 still works great!!!

I bought a Mr Coffee Jr not long ago to replace my 'new' (from about 2010) Mr Coffee 4 cup maker that was dying. I don't need or want a coffee pot that does anything except just brew the damn coffee! I couldn't find one and ended up with a Mr Coffee Jr. It works fine, but the 'on' light doesn't work. It heats the coffee to about 185 degrees, while the newer one only went to 156. So the coffee is quite different. I'm happy with it. The only thing I wish it had is an automatic off timer, no big deal.

They fit almost anywhere and brew a nice hot coffee! I just bought a used Mr. Coffee 4 Cup "accel" maker from 1991 from GoodWill for $8. This thing looks awesome & brews hotter coffee than the one in this video lol Am I addicted to vintage mini coffee makers? Hell yea! Thanks for watching. Where did you buy yours from?

I love my mr coffee Jr. I love way just keep flowing from filter basket to coffee pot. Newer coffee r so junky in my opinion
I don't like the newer coffee machines either. I have 2 Mr. Coffee Jr.'s. This one and an all white one from the 1980s with the box! And 2 Hamilton Beach mini drip coffee machines. Cheers and thanks for watching!
Vintage to me is a pyrex flameware percolator.
I just looked it up and yea, the percolator is vintage for sure. I also use an Italian moka pot which were used around the 1930's! Thanks for watching and cheers ☕

@@demisemedia I can’t find the exact model of mine ANYWHERE but this one is the most similar. It doesn’t say jr buts it’s a 4 cup, no option on off, white mr.coffee. But no year model is on it. It’s OLD OLD but I just tested it out BC I couldn’t wait any long any UGH works like a DREAM and I used all your tips! It looks so cute on my entertainment center next to my tv 🥺💕

Does the brown coffee cup plate get warm at all to keep the coffee warm?
Yes it does! I have 2 of these vintage Mr. Coffee Jr. machines and the plate warms up fast. It's very hot so be careful!

Actually, these older vintage ones are quite pricey on eBay or other online sellers (shipping is also pretty expensive) You can find them at your local thrift store if there are any your area! Good luck on your search! I think this Mr. Coffee Jr. in the video was like $45 - $55 (after shipping & taxes)
