This was 1978 and the amazing Gibbs Brothers. The Bee Gees were always wonderful. My Era.
It’s always fun watching someone hear The Bee Gees for the first time. Kinda like The Righteous Brothers, they’re so good it’s shocking.
Except The Righteous Brothers are not brothers and the Bee Gees are
💯
But the massive amount of hits not even just theirs but writing for others is ONE BIG DEEP DIVE. It’s a must!
Nothing will ever come close to these 3 brothers standing in front of 1 mic and then..pure magic. So glad the younger generation is appreciating what we grew up with.
Barry is my love. 💜 his voice is angelic
Keep in mind that when they recorded this song technology like auto-tune had not yet been invented. This is all natural talent.
No one had Better Hair than Barry
You'll also love how deep is your love, you should be dancing, you win again and many many more
These brothers are the best group singers ever...Barry wrote songs for different singers as well as for them..BeeGees greatest
It’s live, no auto tune, just pure talents!!!
It's just unfathomable to me that some people don't even know about the existence of the bee gees, crazy world we l8ve in.
I've been waiting for you to hear the incredible Bee Gees! Oh, these are brothers like no others when it comes to harmonizing and writing songs! Be prepared to be amazed as you hear ballads, soulful sounds, funky disco etc. And YES they sounded like this in concert!
"Too Much Heaven" was released January 1979...a masterpiece of music and easily became the Number One single on Billboard for several weeks.
I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978! This would have been in my wedding too, but with them singing, at the reception.
Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris)
Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure.
Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. He left behind his wife, Yvonne and two children. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs.
Barry stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2022, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.)
On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. At about the age of 2, Barry reached on the table and a pot of hot tea fell on his chest and arms. You can see the shine on his chest. His mom said he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Skin grafts were not used in the 40s, so he was in the hospital for a long time. His mom said he almost died. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: .
Staying Alive ua-cam.com/video/I_izvAbhExY/v-deo.html
For Whom the Bells Toll ua-cam.com/video/vT_P0ztMQ7o/v-deo.html
How Deep Is Your Love ua-cam.com/video/XpqqjU7u5Yc/v-deo.html
Night Fever ua-cam.com/video/SkypZuY6ZvA/v-deo.html
Closer Than Close ua-cam.com/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/v-deo.html

Bodyguard ua-cam.com/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/v-deo.html
Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) ua-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/v-deo.html
At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2!
Barry has since released a CD titled: The Gibb Brothers' Songbook (Vol. 1). (January 2021) It has more of a country sound. It includes other artists singing the brothers' songs.
Thanks for this comment! Hope many will read this. 👍🏻
A really great comment.
I didn't even know some of that.
(Am 64 and didn't know.)
I, like you, have fond memories of the
Bee Gees.
So grateful.
And glad.
You took the time to shave that information.
😎👍🏾
Be well.
Be safe.
Be Blessed.
It's a wonder they were ever here. When they were still kids with their dad taking them to perform they had a blow out and the car rolled 8 times. Then when they moved to Great Britain Robin and his first wife were returning from seeing her parents and their train derailed killing many.
Fun facts: Barry and Andy had identical birthmarks and none of them could ever read music.
Barry, lead singer. Maurice and Robin (twins) singing together since the twins were 6 and Barry was 9
You know Stayin alive from them for sure.
Their Brothers. Used to be 4, Now there’s only 1 left, the one in the middle. Barry Gibb.
They were brothers. RIP to the brothers on the side btw. Their contribution shouldn’t be forgotten. They made timeless music together
The Bee Gees are THE GOATS OF ALL MUSIC!!!!!
They had ZERO music lessons/training and they couldn’t read or write music. They wrote all their own songs. As well as songs for other artists! They wrote I’ve 1000+ songs!!! They were singers/songwriters/producers. They even fooled their mom thinking it was the radio instead of them singing.
You should check out their younger brother Andy Gibb. Shadow Dancing. As well as their children (all 4 Gibb brothers children) in The Gibb Collective singing Please Don’t Turn Out The Lights!!!!
Love the fact that young people are finding the music of the past
The brothers on the sides are twins. Barry in the middle is the oldest. Their harmonies are phenomenal. They’ve written for just about everybody. Their talent is amazing.
Welcome in the biggest and deepest rabbithole of the music industry and let us worship "Prince Charming" Barry the GOAT Gibb - the world most beautiful Top Singer from 1965 to 1985 and his iconic famous falsetto voice, he wrotes with his brothers 1135 tunes - from 1958 to 2016 with 36 #1 monster hits (Stayin Alive, How Deep Is Your Love or Night Fever), for him and other legends as well like Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Barbra Streisand, Nina Simone, George Michael, Elvis, Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. 🔥😎
The Bee Gees were all 3 brothers equally important as singers and songwriters. And lots of fans will argue that Robin is one of the greatest voices of all time.
@@Zlata1313 - I'm with you. Barry was not the GOAT IMO. The falsetto was OK if used a bit but was overused and almost destroyed their career (and damaged Barry's voice later on) because people tired of it, labelled them as a disco group and unfairly associated their music as ALL being disco...to this day ! As a result they largely dropped it in the 80's because nobody would play their music. I'll take Robin's beautiful vibrato any day but all three were vital. Also, all three could sing falsetto and were doing so in this song. All were singing above their natural vocal registers here which is FALSETTO. Harmonies ✨✨Lyrics and songwriting. 🧨🧨 I must stress as you know that ALL THREE wrote their songs including those for other stars. Barry gets too much credit and the twins almost none!!!
Yep. That about covers it:)
Do their famous hit Staying Alive I bet you will know it
These 3 brothers used to sing in their bedroom as youngsters and their mother thought her boys accidentally left the radio on! She opened the door to turn the radio off and she realized it was her sons actually singing! These men were born with a real gift!! Unfortunately, two have passed and only the oldest one (Barry, in the middle) is still with us. The other 2 are twins; Robin on the left and Maurice (pronounced Morris in England) have passed. RIP Robin and Maurice, we love and miss you!🫶
The money from this song went to UNICEF a charity to help children in war torn countries.
The song was released in 1978, and this LIVE performance (no such thing as autotune in those days) was in 1979.
Stayin Alive, More Than a Woman, How Deep is Your Love, How Can you Mend a Broken Heart, You Should Be Dancing, Jive Talkin, Night Fever, Tragedy-- to name a few.
Love your reaction 😊😊. I grew up with them😊. All of their songs are unbelievable. Too much Heaven is BEYOND BEAUTIFUL ❤️. Enjoy the Bee Gees 😊
They are family! One of their GREATEST hits is called "STAYING Alive". You definitely will recognize that song if you react to it! They're musical geniuses!
This will be a DEEP rabbit hole if you choose to go down it!
Born in the Uk, grew up in australia, left for the uk, when Barry was 21, went on to the USA and made it very big. Try Jive Talking. Barry sings in falsetto after doing Nights on Broadway, where they learned they could sing like that. Movie music includes Saturday Night Fever, and the theme for Grease with JohnTravolta. Short Circuit, with the song More than a Woman. Also try How deep is your love. All 5 siblings were great singers, as was mum, sister Leslie filled in when Robin left to try a solo career, dad played instruments, as can the kids.
Berry in the center, Robin and Maurice Gibbs, are brothers. Berry was 6 the twins were 3 when the started singing together. They are 3 of the best singer in history. Very angelic.
BeeGees stands for the Brothers Gibb. They are three brothers: Barry Gibb, the oldest and tallest in the middle; Robin Gibb, the one with the long hair on the left; and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Gibb are twins (not identical). They have been singing together since they were little fellas in Australia. There was a fourth brother (Andy Gibb) who had his own solo career until his untimely death at the height of his popularity. Robin and Maurice have both passed as well. Only Barry is left. Please continue to react to their songs like "How Deep Is Your Love", "More Than A Woman", "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever", and many, many more of their big hits of the 70's, 80's & 90's.
I loved their 60's stuff too. I was 17 when they first hit it big internationally in 1967 with songs like "Massachusetts", "Words", "I started a joke", "New Your mining disaster", "World", "Got to get a message to you", etc. They were famous a decade before their 70's so called "disco" and later songs. In 1968 they were mobbed after a show in London and the crowd pushed past Paul McCartney to get at the Gibbs. Paul said, "We had our turn, now it's their time".
Yes, Barry is the only brother still with us. The first born is their sister, Lesley. She will be 78 years old on January 12, 2023. Maurice passed away on her 58th birthday. 😪
You have just been baptized! Welcome to a journey into the world of these amazing brothers
On point, perfect pitch, and no autotune.
This is them actully recording the song in the 70's. They're all brothers, lead singer is Barry Gibb, the other 2 are fraternal twins Robin and maurice born 3 years after Barry, the one on Barry's left is Maurice, both twins have passed away only Barry is left. They wrote an recorded the theme song to Grease 'stayin' alive'.
You're going down the rabbit hole! The Bee Gees were the greatest ever! Watch Fanny be tender with my love 💓
The Brothers Gibb ❣️❣️❣️
bee gees love you inside out
3 brothers sing together since 5 years old
Hits in the 60, 70, 80, 90 and early 2000
All earning from this song given to UNCEF till this day
No group ever has been able to harmonized like them. No tech used all talent
It is a live performance
Andy Gibb is the lead singer. Robin is to his right and Maurice to his left
The ones on the ends are twins
Everyone was singing live music back then...I fell in love with all their songs...( Jive Talking) was also a great song...
Live yes. They are phenomenal, even a capella. The Brothers Gibb, Robin, Barry and Maurice. The Bee Gees Forever!
How Deep is Your Love and the whole Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.
Words
How Can You Mend A Broken Heart
I've just got to get a Message to you
The Bee Gees have one of the largest catalogs in the music industry.
Barry is the man in the middle of this act. He is the oldest and only one left of the BeeGees still living. The other two are Maurice and Robin Gibb. They are twins.
You got a LOT of work ahead of you because their catalog of hits goes from 1967 - 1997 and beyond! While people tend to focus on Barry (the tall one in the middle), all the were amazing singers and writers. They wrote their songs together, hundreds of them. And Maurice was a CRAZY good bass player. He was their stage musical director and could play any keyboard and any guitar. Check out their One Night Live in Las Vegas show (1997).
Back in the day, they were my favorite group. The number of songs they wrote is incredible.
bee gees how deep is your love
The Bee Gees "Saturday Night Fever" was the inspiration for Michael Jackson's Thriller album.

@ the fourteen twenty five mark on the video.
Let me give you a little bit of background love. The Bee Gees have been together since 1958. They had over five decades of hits. Very the middle one is still alive and will be 76 years old in September. The other two are Maurice and Rob and they are fraternal twins. Maurice died and 03 and Robin died of cancer in 2012. They’re a little brother and he died in 1988. He was only 30 years old. They wrote all of their own music, including music for other people, such as Kenny, Rogers, Diana Ross, Celine Dion, and some others that I probably forgot about. Definitely listen to Fanny be tender with my love, holiday, I can’t see nobody, and love you inside and out.
The lead singer is Barry Gibb. They’re all brothers. Barry is the only one alive. He’s written songs for a lot of other singers
Nothing mixed or mastered, no auto tune. This was recorded live in 1978 and they donated the song and all profits to UNICEF. They raised millions for the charity. The Brothers Gibb, The Bee Gees, were three brothers with perfect harmony and falsetto. They wrote songs for other artists as well as themselves and their little brother Andy Gibb. Barry, the in one in the middle, is the oldest with Robin to his left and Maurice to his right. Robin and Maurice are twins.
You got 3 pitch perfect falsetto harmonies and perfect vibrato's..
I really don't believe people have never heard of the guys.
They have been since the 60's.
This is the mid 1970's. Born in England, moved to Australia and then Miami.
Robin left Miami and lived in Thame, Oxfordshire for most of the last 30 years of his life.
This song was released in 1978 I was a young teen...this song and many many more by the brothers Gibb The Bee Gees is pure gold pure raw talent...the short of it the brothers Gibb Barry lead singer twins Robin and Maurice (Mo) were born on the Isle of Man came to America in 1970 Miami...they were influenced by R&B soul...The Bee Gees have 5 decades of beautiful harmonies beautiful music and with each decade the brothers reinvented their sound...the last album the 3 brothers did together was This is where I came in 2001...
Wikipedia. Early work is beautiful. "Massachusetts", "Run to Me", "I Started a Joke"
and, my favorite, "Fanny be Tender...". Sooo good.
They and the Beatles hold a special significance. The two groups are the only ones to have 5 songs in the top 10 at once during their height.
I started a joke is my favourite Bee Gee song Robins voice will break your heart😢
I grow up with the best Group ever. I love the Bee Gees. Every Song is a suprice. V.G.
Oooooo you and me girl is what they sang early on...
Bee Gee’s or Brother’s Gibb are Maurice, Robin and Barry Gibb. They were born in England. Then when they were young the family moved to Queensland, Australia. After they hit the charts they moved back to England. They also had a younger brother Andy Gibb who had a super successful career. But he died real young. The twins Maurice and Robin also died (one way too young). Barry has been married to the same woman for years. He is the lead singer and he is still out there singing. They had hits almost every decade since the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s! And maybe even beyond.... Great music! Listen to Staying Alive or any of their hits from John Travolta’s Saturday Night Fever movie.
This is in the 70s during the time of disco. This is when I had so much fun.
Please react to the Bee Gees song Fanny Be Tender With My Love!
This is about '78 or '79 when this song was a number one hit. Lead brother/singer is Barry with fraternal twins Robin and Maurice born in U.K.
donated every cent of this mega hit to unicef charity for children

I am loving you reaction to these brothers. A recommendation by them is Love so Right and How deep is your Love also Staying alive!!!!

CAN'T wait to see where you go next....if you want more Bee Gees check out "How deep is your love"
awww... your reaction made me so happy!
Left to right. Robin, Barry, Maurice.
The Brothers Gibb were amazing and unique.
The Bee Gees typically recorded an entire song in just a few takes. What they do is that natural!
They are all brothers and have been performing together since they were kids, basically their whole lives. There’s also another brother named, Andy who was younger than these three and had his own solo singing career. The only one still remaining alive is the middle singer here in the video, Barry. There is an excellent documentary on their lives called, The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart. It’s worth your time if you want to know more about them.
Brother's, Bee Gees.....Brothers Gibbs
AS A YOUNG KID IN THE 60S I STARTED LISTING to THEM THEY WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN WHEN IT COMES TO MUSIC THEY WILL ONLY BRING YOU UP
This was 70's Disco Era 👍
The Bee Gees are from Australia, there is a monument in Redcliffe Queensland for their contribution to music. Barry Gibb is the only brother still alive
Brothers, why the blend of harmony comes so naturally. BeeGees stands for "Brothers Gibb". Barry's falsetto voice is like noone else I've ever heard. Twins Robin and Maurice provide the beautiful harmonies. Was a great time to be a teenager. 🙂
Somebody tell this guy who is listening to The Bee Gees..😂❤
It was live. There has never been an equal to the Bee Gees. Unparalleled.
I saw them perform in Pittsburgh. Best concert I've ever been to.
British brothers performing together since 1958 when kids. 70s was the biggest success for them but late 60s were great as were 80s, 90s and 00s. Best group ever. Barry is the eldest brother and he's in the middle with twins Robin and Maurice left and right when you're looking at them.
Even Quincy Jones has said that nobody can harmonize like the Bee Gees( Brother Gibbs)
This is deep rabbit hole to explore. Please go and check it out. Many gold nuggets in there.❤️❤️
Barry Gibb...lead Robin Gibb to his right. Maurice Gibb on his left
A beautiful song bee gees has a great harmony together
The Bee Gee's amazing... they wrote their songs... Have even heard of Saturday Night Fever.. or Grease.. these guys wrote the soundtracks... and their harmonies as Brothers... just beyond amazing...Siblings always have the best harmonies. Barrry had the falcetto (sp) so beautiful... Barrry is the oldest and than the twins,,, Robin and Maurice.
From left to right, Robin, Barry and Maurice Gibb. Bros. Gibb = Bee Gees. Their career began in 1960 as kid-stars and up to 2001 they wrote together roundabout 1100 songs for themselves or also other supastars. In 1967, they started to become well known artists all over the planet with hits like 'To Love Somebody', 'Massachusetts' or 'Words'. Would be a good idea, to start so.
They started in 1958.
You forgot they did the sound track to. Saturday night. Fever.
Outstanding description. I loved growing up with them and so many others I can't begin to count. Peace from Northern Michigan.
Brothers Robin on the left, Barry in the middle and Maurice on the right. Live in the studio
"I'm going to need names for all three of them ". Lmfao. Classic. Prom 1978. In ,over and carefree. You have to go watch Saturday Night Fever right meow.
You made my day with your reaction! Peace from Northern Michigan!!

His Name is Barry Gibb and his Brother Maurice and Robin. THEY Came from Australien.
Left to right, Robin, Barry and Maurice Gibb
From the golden age.
These brothers, my man, were one of the first global super groups. They wrote, performed and produced everything. Started singing as pre-teens and formed the Bee Gees in 1958. Barry Gibb, the middle singer, released a chart-topping collaboration album in 2021, Greenfields. Epic sound (Stayin Alive) that you most definitely have heard. And yes, live performances were this good or better. Their acapella is stunning as well
70’s
Long, deep catalog. Perfect harmony.
Reaching Out, Fannie Be Tender With My Love, One, Love You Inside and Out, Alone, Words, The Only Love, Tragedy, Closer Than Close, Lonely Days, You Should Be Dancing, and Love So Right- 🤧 I'll stop there, but there's more and more!
