Be ready to work jobs on a 6 - 10s schedule, Monday through Saturday 60 hour work weeks. You won't be on this schedule all the time, but be ready for it when that time comes, good paychecks come along with that schedule
As a 3rd year apprentice in this program I feel this is an extremely accurate depiction of what you're getting into as an apprentice. EMBRACE THE SUCK!
im a warehouse order selector. i can definitely embrace the suck. xD
How much $?
If you mean pay, that varies from local to local as COL is different everywhere. I am able to work with my 20.60 an hour pay + union pension, annuity, death benefit and health care.@@illdoctrine9329. This is in local 490 which is new hampshire, our pay is based on how many hours worked you got and you get 5%-10% increase every hour milestone you cross.
Just got out of high school and got accepted im soo excited to start on the 16th
Austin West Excellent choice.

I just turn 50 and I am going to apply for the apprentice job I hope I will get it...I have 3 kids ..

This trade is amazing you get to help build all things in this world 🏭🏠⛪️
Just applied guys wish me luck
Filmed in CLE!!!
Nice video!
Just got the Interview after I took my test. I must have done pretty good 😁
If you pass the test you're guaranteed an interview at the least.
How’d it go?
Is being an electrician means being military seal man. Why so many incredible hard tasks 😮
Heard you'd have to wait like 2 years to even get a shot at an interview for apprenticeship.
E P depends on your location. I live in Western Mass and there’s far less applicants over here compared to our Boston counterpart. About 400 people apply each year and they accept 20-25, whereas Boston has thousands of applicants hoping to be apart of that 25.
Depends on the Local - Some are WIDE open. Mine only take 30-60 of the 2500 applicants a year...There are guys working pre-apprenticeship programs for 2/3 years before they even get an interview or pass the test! - Good luck if you're trying to apply it was the best move of my liftime...
The guy at the 2:14 mark has his hard hat on backwards!!!!
Hard hats have a liner that is inner-changeable. It is legal to wear the lid in either direction.
Most guys wear their Hardhats backwards lol - The snap in liner is interchangeable...
And visibility is better so you'll hit the front of your head on low hanging pipes and beams a lot less
You'll never be without a job and you'll make as much as you want any where
I’m going to a trade school and taking electrical it’s Soo much fun I’m loving it. But tht kinda scary me 💀💀💀💀😭😭😭
How do you do this if you're single with 2 kids...there's literally no way like if you have to drop kids off at school or anything there's just no way.
The only career worth pursuing 👷♂️
My Dad's an electrician. He works till 3:30 but he gets home before 3
Drug tests?
ItsBeausy absolutely
BeauBlaze let’s see... you will be working around electricity which if not handled correctly could seriously harm or kill someone. Yeah I would say there would be a drug test.
BeauBlaze get off the drugs before you ever think about being serious in life. Drugs are kid shit wake up.

What you do on your own time is no ones business, but what you bring to work is everyones business. That being said, yes they will drug test.
I have a great career but at 36yrs old I'm applying to be a linemen...Hopefully Law Enforcement experience isn't frowned on...Thanks politicians for screwing over LEO everywhere...
I know some dudes who turned out to become great electricians and were even well liked on the job who were ex-law enforcement. What is more important is that you give a damn about your work and everything else is just noise.
