  • This year, Apple decided to stop producing the iPhone Mini line. After only 2 years, it's now widely regarded as a miss. But the iPhone Mini brought something to the table that no other phone on the market has: true one-handed portability.

I agree. Sadly the Mini series is a niche device, which is why I think Apple could sell this phone in a refresh period of every 2 years. I’m sure everyone that’s enjoying a Mini at the moment would happily buy the new Mini every couple of years, myself included!

Comming from an iPhone SE 2016, I recently bought the iPhone 13 mini and I must say that this is the best iPhone currently for me. The newer and bigger iPhones just didn't fit my lifestyle. I love the compact size.

I love my 13 mini. For me this is the greatest iPhone ever made (so far). I hope that they release 16 or 17 mini in the future because the only downside with this phone is that it does not have USB-C. Otherwise this is a 10/10 phone for me. I got a blue one first and after they launched this green one I switched to this one.

I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini.
Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible.
It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.

I am android user, but I have also had an iPhone since the 5s, then the SE. Currently have S21FE and decided that my SE needed to be upgraded, so the 13 mini was only going to be my small iPhone just because. However, within a couple of hours it became my primary phone. Really is a great phone. It even got me to actually invest in the ecosystem, magsafe etc.

I just think it's kind of funny that these companies don't acknowledge that there's a market for smaller screen phones. Yeah it may be less than that of larger screen devices, but it's still gotta be millions of people. Why not do user surveys to see how many units they should manufacture rather than simply making too many right out the gate.

I use phone for basic tasks and it’s didn’t hurt hand at all.

Apple's iPhone pricing hasn't made sense since the iPhone 11 release year. That is their main problem with sales. Secondly... they needed to make the mini slightly thicker to accommodate a larger battery. That's really the only issue stopping it from getting better sales. Apple needs to get rid of the SE line, and just bring back the mini with a larger battery. Their product line got too convoluted for consumers, which is sad because the simplicity was what segmented iPhone from all the other phones.

Yeah I'm watching this 3 months after you made it. But good job on reviewing the iPhone 13 mini which I recently just got after I sold my regular iPhone 13. Before I got the regular iPhone 13 I had a iPhone SE and so I've always like kind of a smaller phone but I thought I'd try the regular one but it was just too heavy in the pocket and it was too big. So I got the 13 mini had it for about on about 2 weeks. It's a normal size phone. Everything else is like a mini tablet. That's just what we've moved to in the market and I understand... But for me I have an iPad at home so I don't need to carry one. And I really like just having a small phone in my pocket as I don't play with it all the time. Texting ,podcasts, music, Google maps The occasional UA-cam video during the day anyway. I have no problem with battery life but I can say that it's not the phone for heavy users

I don't know why it's called a phone. I use a smartphone more as 1) a clock/an alarm clock/timer, 2) as a messenger device (Whatsapp, usually, previously - before Whatsapp - it was SMS), 3) as a micro-computer - google search 4) as a navigation device - maps 5) as a note-taking/reminder device, 6) as a scheduler/planner/calendar. I see a lot more people are starting to use their phones to pay transit fares (train/metro fares, bus fares, this probably varies by city/region) and other expenses (shopping/groceries/meals). Or booking a ride (Uber/Grab/ Gojek/etc).
If I ACTUALLY get a call, there is a better than 90% chance that it is scam call. 10% that it's my mother. But yes, YMMV.
But yes, we still call it a "phone".

Such a great video! As you may remember I am a fan of small, under 6", phones and I still rock a 5.8" Samsung S10e. Apple had a 5.8" phone with the 11 pro and the current 6.1" is not much bigger, but man those pro are so heavy.... I don't watch videos on my phone (I always have a tablet or laptop in situations where I might want to watch something) and I don't do much other than calls, notifications and photos/videos on a phone, so I like compact and light phones (as I also use a case with them) and the 13 mini was the only modern iPhone I would have really enjoyed... But I am not moving to lightning, despite still using several airpods and an iPad mini 5. Unfortunately rumors for the SE are that it's going to be the XR design.... Anyway if I ever move to iPhone, it will be to something that has both a size/weight similar to the mini and USB C.

I just went from an iPhone 12 Pro Max to an iPhone 14 pro and I’m convinced the 6.1 inch form factor is the best with the least amount of sacrifice, especially with dynamic island as I can use it with one hand.

  • @pacoag99
    @pacoag99 Рік тому +1

Today I would totally would have picked a 13 mini, in December I upgraded from a 11 to the 14 pro and I love it but the way I use it has changed (at least for the moment), since the 5s (then 7, X-ray, 11 and a little bit of the 14 pro) I used to do everything in my cellphone, even uni projects, but since now I’m not going out a lot, I’ve been consuming social media almost only in my iPad, apart from message apps I just use ig in my iPhone.
I’ve notice a huge improvement, the 120 hz is really smooth but more so in the oled display. I like to take pictures of myself, the sky and just urban landscape in general, but I’m always alone so no one really take pictures of me, thus I don’t take pictures in general on a daily basis, I find the 3rd lense kinda useless for the majority of users, more like very very situational and I don’t think the quality is that great to really use it, the auto focus when you have really either really close or far, sometimes is kinda bad and stressful .
The weight is another factor, it’s heavy but in terms of material it’s noticeable that the quality is better in the metal used and the finish of the glass in the back. Color is something I find quite intriguing, I loved my 7 because it was black matte, but ever since then, they haven’t released anything like that, the 14 pro almost never looks really black, I think midnight does a better job in that part (my aunt has a 12 in that color).
Perhaps in a couple months when I’m back on track and have to go out and really depend of my cellphone my thoughts will change to the way they use to be. I think the perfect size (for me) would have been the one of the x and xs. I’ll still like to have a 13 mini in the future as a 2nd device (tbh a total whim in my opinion).
I think a refurbished one will be good choice since it wouldn’t be as expensive (a mere thing to justify the acquisition), I’ve seen that the 12 mini is around 300 dollars sometimes in Amazon, do you think that when the 15’s come out, the 13 mini would be around that price?
