does she ever sing the high note in concert for the part at 3:28? I saw that she doesn't do it in recent performances... I thought maybe she did in the past, but apparently not. it sounded so cool on the album, that screaming high note

no, she does not ever sign that live, ever.

No, she has never sang that part like the record, and I'm glad she didn't, that note is so high, that singing it live, again and again with all the touring, would have destroyed her voice.

@@potorrero Because she is almost 50. the vocal cords age as the body does. and not everyone sings from the diaphragm.

The long one at the end of the bridge? Actually there are higher notes she's singing also in this song. I think it's just a matter of giving some rest to the vocal cords, since the rest of the song is already very challenging. The chorus for example is sitting around her passaggio notes.

Comment is probably a blast from the past for you, but just wanted to drop my two cents: I have only heard her sing that note the album version once - it was an acoustic performance from the 95-96 era, and personally I felt it sounded a bit squeaky in that setting, so maybe she also felt it didn't sound as good, and opted for the lower note when singing live
