Coastal Taipans are alot more gnarly then inland are more docile coastal comes in contact with alot more people so their know for bites some venom is yellow some clear I guess it depends on the snake Great video informative Thanks mate 👍 😊 greetings from USA 🇺🇸

    G'day Jake & Zac,
Thanks so much for sharing the Milking Process, the concentration that you need to do this job must be intense for the Handler & Snake to be safe,
I haven't used my D&D Vouchers so I have Passed Forward 1 today & will be doing my second tomorrow

These guys should be wearing some special made kevlar suits and gloves! I'd look more like a goalie for a hockey team if I worked with these snakes.

Reduces dexterity and makes it easier for snake to sneakily get loose and bite them

@@charlesdoyle3630yeah exactly. I'm a carpenter and hardly ever wear gloves. It just makes picking up smaller things and reduces my feeling therefore my control in my fingers and control over my grip. Personally after a long career in carpentry I have majorly reduced sensitivity in my fingers and hands therefore nowhere near the control that I would need to do that job. We grew up around snakes in Queensland Australia. Never had any real issues. I've been face to face with plenty but they just wanted to be left alone. I can understand that somedays😅😅. These snakes are no joke definitely, and I wouldn't want to do that job but most Aussies aren't too worried about having a run in with one in their day to day life.Alot of snake handlers have had a bite off something nasty and have been crook but returned back to it. Thanks to these amazing gentlemen we have excellent antivenom and awesome hospitals. I heard a handler say that the death adder scared him more. He got bit by one. They are the fastest striking snake in the world. In his case ,the snake put its fangs through its own bottom jaw to bite him. He was very sick for awhile.

Arguably the most dangerous snake on the planet, along with the black mamba.

Australian Reptile Park 6:30 from Jake Meney in a calm voice re the Taipan - "ensure that snake doesn't do anything too naughty".
Compare and contrast with Coyote Petersen hysterically screaming in his videos about these snakes in his phony staged safe settings.

Yes check out @Bugs and Biology about his roasting of him with the garden orb weaving spider! Seriously over dramatized!

Do snakes have memory such that, for example, this guy here is going to remember what Zac did to him, and will be more aggressive towards staff in the future?

I really would like to have my question answered, if you ever have the time. I have been thinking about this a lot, and I think that it must say a lot about snakes; whether they have a working memory or not. From there, one could derive a lot of conclusions, I think.
Anyway, cheers for all that you do :)

Great question! I’m bumping this for you lovely! I live & grew up in QLD- ALAH Steve Irwin was my first intro to snakes & crocs.
But closest I’ve ever been to the fierce snake is via zoos. And they just sit there. Seen plenty of reptile snake shows but usually it’s the RBB & browns the shows have, never an inland taipan. They are rare. Stunning with black small head!!!

I think he needs a personal microphone. Seems like she's right up against it. They are probably speaking at similar volumes but she might not be aware of how loud she seems.
