Hats off to Zac and others who collect venom to produce anti venom. These guys _literally_ put their lives at risk every single working day to be able to produce life saving anti venom. Thank you!
See, I love how they give so much Information about the snakes and their venom. It's nice because there's no dramatic music or anything.
God bless you fellas. The world needs more mates like you two.
I'm not sure entirely why, but Zac looks like he's the nicest dude ever. I would love to be friends with him
Spastic
Zac is the best
Both of them do
I worked with Zac and met Tim while working at the reptile park, both are very professional and top blokes 👌🏼
Hi there. Robert here. Wau for a video. I like snakes, unfortunaly we dont have snakes in the natur here in Denmark where i live. We have one viper, not much venomus. I cant wait to se you other videos. Be safe.
Who's here from brave wilderness?
Me
Who isn’t?
Me
I am
Bondi Vet!
The death adder is literally the fastest striking snake on the planet, along with the puff adders. They can strike a balloon twice before it pops. Absolutely crazy
Milking venomous snakes with Tim in the same room, Zac has nerves of Tungsten.
Hey guys thanks for all you do. I have always loved the reptile park, I have been visiting since it was in Wyoming prior to the new park in somersby.. I have been involved in the feeding program for the snakes over the years in my trade and everyone here is the best there is at their game. I love to visit and bring my kids up as well now I'm older
I really love these videos, thank you both for your bravery and I pray that you will both always be safe.
Side note: Zac makes it look so easy! What a champ!
Thank you for the amazing but very very scary video. Stay safe and best wishes from Germany!
Love you guys. Takes balls the size of Texas to do what you guys do
Thank you, Zac for being so brave.
And thank you Tim for educating us! Now I know what to do if myself or a loved one gets bitten by a rattlesnake or a copper head which are local where I live, probably not as deadly as the one's in Australia, but still very dangerous!
Oh the US Rattlesnake are something you don't mess with remain claim and try to stay as still where the bite has happened and apply a pressure bandages and call for medical treatment quickly the better.
@@christopherdale5243 they usually tell us in the US not to put pressure bandages on rattlesnake bites bc it will concentrate the cytotoxic/flesh-destroying venom. Australian snakes have such strongly neurotoxic venom that pressure bandages are required to stop the spread before getting to the hospital.
G'day Tim & Zac,
😲 Wow! You do an Awesome Job at ARP,
I am not scared of snakes & will take any offer to hold a "Non Venomous' one, but I got shivers every time Zac got one out & then wiggled his finger 😬😬😬😬😬
Good on you guys! Videos like this need to be shown in schools across the country. Such incredible work what Zac and the team are doing, and unfortunately not many people are aware of what goes on behind the scenes to help save lives.
I loved this video and have learnt so much about snakes. Thanks guys you are doing an incredible job 😁
Great content guys, glad you guys do it because there's no way I could!
Great episode thankyou. Keep up the great work.👍
Love these videos!!!!
Awesome
You guys are both amazing!
Not grandma's potato masher!! 😂
Excellent presentation and work guys!
Zac is like totally cool under pressure while Tim gets an arm workout while he talks to the media, lol
They have the snakes in a recycling bin😂😂
I put my snakes in the recycling bin so that the council can pick it up
Amazing video guys!
Tim, you may be in love with your snakes, you might be extremely knowledgeable but I rather not even be in the same room, I have quite a phobia. Good for you.
Thank you,for the presentation.
WOW!!!!! Amazing job !!!
Arent you too young for a channel?
no offense but you look 8...
I didn’t realize you supplied venom for the production of anti venom for the whole country! What a responsibility. How many venomous snakes do you keep at the zoo for this purpose?
they said about 250
@@249aaa in that room there is over 1000 I’ve been not in the room but to the zoo
Thank you
Question: So Where does the anti-venom for Red-belly black snake come from? Great job Tim and Zac.
I think tiger snake anti venom is what’s used
That was so awesome information
Professional professionals!!!
Zac looks a bit like Chris Tall 😊 amazing job 👏🏻
You might answer this in the video but before I forget, how long would it take for their venom to regenerate after being totally milked?
I would love to do this work. I knw its dangerous but really love it. Enjoy these lads work
I could watch Zac handle snakes all day
I could listen to this guy talk all day long..
This man was in Brave Wilderness video
how long does it take the snakke to replennish its venom
They are beautiful animals
Much respect.
I love snakes!
Tim you are a goober!
I would love to know what the compounds or proteins in these venoms are made of . And would it be possible to replicate these various venoms in a laboratory instead of let's say milking particular species of snake to get the required amount of anti venom.
Probably but it wouldn't be the same. And why spend resources making artificial venon when snakes already make it?
Good Tim
Great job Zac and Tim. I wonder if the antivenom could cure the corona virus.
Trueeeeeeee
thats the stupidest thing i have ever heard in my entire life
😂
Do those stats “strongest venom in the world” include sea snakes? Or only land ??
What if u feed snakes vegemite?
you are so brave
tim I love you
Watching Mike Perry at South African Anti Venom plant is so interesting,I watch every video I see posted, and of here when I see them, nice and entertaining.
I know repetition creates retention, but wish Zack would slow down,it is one little awkward moment of ''Awry'' ,when that one mis-step can happen..Like Mr Irwin,One Million Victories, but that one defeat is all that will be remembered.(Rip salute)........Slipping past beaker ,or snake reverse necks,or bites through bottom mouth or finger tangled moving so quickly.Mike Perry uses fixed beaker, and I'm guessing that is reason as he is missing a digit..Your necking SOP seemed safer than his.Bet if you both combined methods, could create safest SOP on earth for Harvesting.(Just observation from the cheap seats)lol. The floating beaker method probably great for the species that lock on to pump venom, like King Brown,Gaboon,Cobra's,to prevent broken fangs..Must be the reasoning..No expert here, just interested am I...Great Demo..
These guys r the real tough guys but whats up with the darkness. Lol
We’ve done medical evals. Where we have seen patients not be as bad when they’ve ran out of the woods on rattle snakes. We are thinking that maybe it’s diluting the venom and spreading it around The body out of limbs. But I wouldn’t try it on extreme neuro toxic venom or the top tier venoms. This was done on diamond backs and mostly rattle snake varieties. Which goes against what I was originally taught. But it’s like clock work. Everybody that has to travel on foot some distance to get help they don’t seem to have the severe symptoms like the stationary people. We are still looking at it and will in years to come.
What is the world's deadliest snake? From Charlotte, 7 years old
Black mamba...fast acting venom..nervous and aggressive snake
Inland taipan
They’re both deadly snakes but the inland taipan is the most venomous. I’d give the deadliest title to the mamba because it lives in closer proximity to people thus more people get bit by mambas that along with their potent venom, aggressive nature and being probably the fastest snake on land to me makes them more deadly. The inland taipan inhabits areas not really inhabited by people.
Oh the guy said the king brown was the 2nd longest venomous snake in the world. That’s not correct the black mamba is at 14ft only behind the king cobra
It is debated between many snakes
Would a tiger snake bite penetrate a 3mm wetsuit a person may be wearing?
Fucken top vid lads
Came across a massive king brown on the way to a beach picnic in the middle of the road I was too scared to get out the car but i didn’t want it to get run over so I started splashing it with my water bottle and it got mad but got off the road.
Brave Wilderness ❤️💚
Why this man is so talkative 🤣 dude plz just let us watch what we want 🙂
I love snakes
Why did he say they don't milk Inland Taipans? I literally just watched the same place milk one!! 😕
Ive heard black mamba venom can potentially make new pain killers. Is this true?
Tomorrow's super drug will come from Venom..Snake Island, the Golden Lance heads I think they are,are responsible for human blood pressure medication. All typed toxic animals from land and sea are being studied and I heard same thing on Non Narcotic pain management, only they are not quite there yet...India sure could use revenue from harvesting from free snakes..Hope soon, but they are learning more daily I have heard.
That King Brown's name is Chewi and he or she broke the record in 2016 for most venom milked which was 1500 mg
Imagine someone getting sacked from here and not paid his wages coming in to find all snakes released lol
That person would be the dumbest bloke ever coz he would probably get bit releasing all those snakes, just saying...
♥ 🙏
These guys do an equally as good a job as Australia Zoo,but Venmon production is very important to Australians.
300 lives a day? Basically saving a life everyday. Except the weekends. Lol
21:47 in the USA: Save money, stay calm!
If I'm there imma be like
*Yep time to bail*
I was here from brave wilderness
I wouldn't mind doing that one day
I live in Australia I snake of my own and I’ve been here two to three or doming but my snake is non venomous so he’s fine and all Australians know the diamond spotted python stimy python witch is short for it acuactul name and more
How many people have 🐝 been saved by this venom?
Thousands.. around 20,000..
Can anyone tell me why Zac was removing plastic everytime he milked a snake?
I was wondering too. I’m guessing the light adhesive Tim mentioned doesn’t work if a snake’s been on it before, so they have to keep replacing it. That’s my guess anyway.
I can't understand the accent, what's the name of the snake from min 9? The small snake
death adder
5:23 his finger was in the way!😳
They do thay so the sanke goes for the finger and they milk its venom
Yeah of course snakes aren’t stupid
My daughter in law’s dog copped a bite from a Tiger snake last year. Very nasty experience.
7:55 "they don't want to waste (their venom)" Yep! They don't want to waste their lunch money on us.
Still glad I don't live in Australia, adders in the UK are rare and a lot safer.🐍
but you also miss out on Tassie Devils, Quokkas, Quolls, Kangaroos, Koalas, Wombats, Platypus, Echidnas & so many other Awesome Aussies 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
South africa has over 10 cobra species
@@anniedarkhorse6791 Well said, you can probably walk out of your home and get hit by a car before you get bit by a snake, what a dumb thing for her to say,Australia on a whole, it's people and wildlife are very beautiful!!🇦🇺
I was feeding my goats the other day and I saw my cat paw at the ground, so I walked over to see what it was. It was a copperhead, and I didn't know what to do because it's illegal to kill snakes where I live. My mamaw and papaw wasn't around me, so I got some big bricks and put it on its head. What should I do if that happens again?
shout for help?
Kill it who’s gonna know it was you
It was my dream to have this job when I was a child.
The freaking size of that King Brown😬😬😬😬😬😬!
Omg 😳 you so drave omg 😱
drave lol
i would do the video and add the audio later on. too dangerous talking and trying to show to people. Could be distracting and... put them in danger... Is amazing what they do to save lives. It is a tremendous contribution. Good education to all of us. May God protect them.
Has reptile zoo ever been with brave wilderness
I don’t think I’ve ever heard so much waffling in my life that I did in this video,
How many energy drinks do you need to be able to move your mouth this much?
Professional jobs
Yeah getting bit by a s ven is not fun. Copped a tag from an eastern brown. It felt like one of my neohjnouts had shot me with a pellet gun, Looked up and about then down and saw mr hiss hiss. Bloody long lawn!. Called the ambos rright away and bandaged my leg up. Then (I know, stupid move) went out back and scruffed the snake, got him right behind the jaw. Please don't do this - it was a dumb move, you could get bitten again. I stuffed him into a pillow slip and tied a knot in the top. One eastern brown bagged and ready!. He got released a few days later. I needed 14 ampoules of antivenom!!
Slow down dude we hear you
And I caught a brown snake a few weeks back by accident while looking for mice shit!!!!
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Who can extract the venom?!?!
It'd be a Good"Work for the Dole"program,it'd get lazy Kuntz looking for work,or milk some Dangerous Snakes.
That mobile lady hands are fucked up for 24mins she is very angry on that blah blah guy😂
Wish you would stop waving ya hands around, you'll scare the shit outta the snake's 😂
i would rather clear a land mine field then work that job, mines are predictable, snakes are not🤔
omy gat
0:49 the Karen snakes ?
Would have been nice to show more of the snake, to explain to visitors of our country, eg head shapes etc to quickly identify venomous and non-venomous.
And the narrative , informative, but mate, come up for air , geezzzz
Cwk aku nyuruh nnton ni video gtau p mksdna dik. Apkh ak punya venom wrwrwrwr
