I met Dr Tai Solarin when I first went to Mayflower in 1994. He was so jovial. My sister and I were running by the admin block and bumped into him. He was so nice, spoke softly to us and welcomed us to the school. We did not know how famous and respected he was. We were 7 and 5 at that time.
He died dt same 1994 😢
Watching this as an up and coming filmmaker in 2023 and all I can say is KUDOS,this is a forever classic

It's just a direct adaptation of a Russian novel "The Government inspector" by Nikolai Goglol. Doesn't take anything away from the effort put in to adapt it
I don't know this man in person but i always love his work since I was a kid,i just wish he keep giving us something like this for a long time

Interesting movie
Good movie about trusting Ifa and to live with good character. What I didn't understand is why the Ifa priest would make the sign or the crucifix with his hand @1:17:57 while he was praying about Orunmila, when he was about to pass by the cross. Is the message that you are trying to send is that an Ifa priest must fear the cross?
It was intended to show the Ifa priest as fraud;
Just as corrupt as the public characters
But the Babalawo is corrupt if you noticed.
