This program will humble you... It represents a significant advancement for the Yorùbá language. It is important to recognise that proficiency in English does not inherently indicate intelligence. A profound appreciation of core skills in the Yorùbá language-including knowledge of proverbs, oriki, àrokò, culinary traditions, and an understanding of ancient towns and historical references-qualifies individuals as intellectually elite. Such depth of understanding contributes to the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage. I wish you well in this endeavour.
This is a wrong take on intelligence. You seem to be applying shaming tactics here, with a touch of elitism. The world is full of wisdom everywhere. It is okay to push to preserve your own culture and even ignore others if you want, without ever feeling the need to put them down.
To be sincere, Yoruba language should be taught more in primary and secondary even up to tertiary level as a compulsory subject. Why would i speak a foreign language fluently and find it hard to speak my dialet. We need to start taking our dialet serious. No more biblical names instead i would interpret to Yoruba language.
