I love MOB beauty. I like it better than SALT because I have combination skin and the SALT just doesn't stay on. I'm a special fan of their powder eyeshadows too. Great review and it looks great on you!

Same. I've got Sneaky Balm, and stumbled across Blunder products in my local JC Penneys new beauty section (since the in store Sephora vamanosed across the street to Kohls lol) and I was so tempted to pluck down the $50...but do I need it? 🤔 A question that usually does not stop me lol.

The MOB palette is fun and artsy at best but as much as I wanted to love it, it creases, slides around, and eventually disappears. Great concept but in the end underwhelmed.

Just wait til you try the mob beauty eye cake liner, truly awesome. It’s all awesome. I have the Givenchy, Prada etc foundation and wear the mob foundation most days.
OMG the fact that the Salt NY pans fit into the MOB beauty tray just made my whole day! That’s a game-changer and I’m so happy! What does this say about my life? (Don’t answer that…it might depress me.) PS: Pickles are not bad for dogs unless you’re ‘wildly’ liberal and it upsets their belly. Way better than a Milk Bone (professional opinion here). I'm sure you get tons of recommendations whenever you have skincare issues, but I thought I'd throw my esthetician hat in the ring. You might like the PCA Skin Dry Skin Relief Bar. The salicylic acid combats dermatitis, but it also has a lot of soothing ingredients like aloe and green tea. A lot of men use it for beard dandruff too. You can use daily or use it once or twice a week even just to prevent dermatitis and soothe dry skin. Worth checking out!

Thank you for reviewing MOB! I love everything they have put out and I also really appreciate their sample options. I apply all of their products with my fingers and then buff out with a brush. Never tried a sponge. Everything melts so well into the skin and wears very naturally thru the day.
How does this wear on oily/combo skin?
I love the MOB foundation on my winter skin (mature, summer normal winter dry). I can't believe how blurring it is on me, and it's a shade match like I've never seen on my olive undertones. I've never tried Salt NY but now I don't feel driven to try anything else.

It’s gonna take me a minute to digest this new knowledge that you don’t like peanut butter 😮. I’m having a similar reaction to when I learned that Tom doesn’t like soup.
No, peanut butter doesn't taste like peanuts, not in as pure of a way as you'd expect. And the reason is pretty amazing. I heard someone say (in James Hoffmann's video on vegetable stock, watch it, it's very entertaining) that the taste of a tomato, for example, doesn't exist in nature as we know it, because the tastes we feel are a result of the chemical reactions between the food itself, the air, and our saliva; which is also why certain medications change your taste, they actually change the composition of your saliva. But air exposure also makes a difference, and the smaller the pieces you cut, the more air exposure, the more oxidation, the more the taste changes from that of the whole fruit or nut. So, peanut butter tastes different from whole peanuts because it's been milled down to a very fine paste and, in that process, those really tiny particles (much smaller than anything you'd produce by chewing a peanut) got exposed to air and suffered the taste altering effects of that oxidation

This is exactly why I bought magnetic pans and have depotted nearly everything into one of the salt New York palettes. One thing I have to open that has everything in it that I'm loving right now.
Is there a brand with a good concealer that fits in these sort of pans?
I love the MOB beauty foundation. I a mature woman with oily/combo skin that has texture. My only problem is that there is not a pale enough color for me for winter, so I only wear it in summer.

My Daylist today is "terror theme song Thursday night". Just needed you to know that. Also, my gripe with MOB Beauty is that their pans can't go in my Salt New York palette and you can't buy just a refill. You have to buy product in a compact. And while the compact is home compostable (which is AWESOME) I don't need the whole thing produced if I already have one of their palettes. Pretty great sustainable makeup company though!
not to “well actually” you but they absolutely do sell the pans without the plastic compact! they’re the default on their website and I’ve also bought them in Credo, they come in recyclable paper packaging with just the little plastic home to fit into the compact (which you can remove them from for just the metal pan if that’s what you mean - they have a hole in the back)
edit: if by compact you mean just the backing then I get what you mean :) what I meant was you don’t have to buy the whole clamshell situation
That must be super new. I DM'd them on Instagram in September asking if I could buy just a refill and they replied that they no longer sell just the pan. They told me if I didn't want an individual compact I could just pop the pan out and recycle the compact. I hope they are selling just the pans without the individual compacts now because that's the only thing wrong with this brand (and it's not even that big of a deal, I'm just a huge sustainable makeup hobbyist)@@ellelee8760

@@beaherzbergI’ve tried this. The tins are not magnetic. After depotting, I had to add a metal sticker to each Mob beauty tin in order for them to work in my magnetic pallets.

One of my biggest gripes with "minimalist" makeup brands is their disability-unfriendly packaging. While the square packaging on the Surrat eyeshadow is a little awkward, it is leagues better than the new Merit shadows.
I have to say- the mob palettes I have are a lot easier because they magnet close, and are pretty easy to open- no unlatching or twisting things. But not that minimal dream packaging

is MOB magnetic? Can i use it with a magnetic palette?
No it kind of nestles into their own components. It makes it really sturdy and luxe feeling in their palettes but I’ve found myself wishing they had magnetic pans to store with my other stuff
thats how i feel, if a company is going to try and be refillable, i think i would want to be able to refill it in a generic sense, like into a large magnetic palette.@@beaherzberg
