This one is higher on the accuracy end, considering I've found the original steel drum samples, and some other stuff not on the Roland JV-1080.
Note: I could not find the original timbales and I'm not completely satisfied with how they sound here. If you know where they are from, please tell- and I might update this.
Please let me know what you think.

I'm so used to hearing the pitch shifted version of these songs, from both the original and remade, that the original sounds odd to me now. Great work dude!
Holy shit you actually found some of the original samples, impressive!
This sounds pretty much 1-1 !
amazing job!
this is so clean for a transcription of a 11025~ Hz audio file. Near perfect
Thanks... though this could sound much more accurate if I had uploaded it now. I wish UA-cam had a "video replacement" feature...
Really good work bro, nice. You mind sharing with us where you found the steel drum samples?
I've got something in the works. Do you have an account named Geo?
@@nevets5 Great.Looking forward to this.At last....we might be getting close to creating exact replicas of the HD OST.Also,no,i have no second account.May i ask why?
Oh, funny coincidence then. Someone has a similar username and profile pic to yours. They also asked about the steel drums, at roughly the same time too... haha
What were all the presets / instruments that you used? Outside of a small handful of 1080 presets used for the funhouse stages, and a single preset used for Ghostly Garden, Pac-Man World 1's instruments don't seem to be well documented publicly at all. I would like to know as much about it as possible for the purposes of creating original compositions and remixes in the same style as the PS1 PMW soundtrack.
Yes, it's not easy finding these instruments. I already planned on posting a video showcasing the samples & their origins at some point, due to the fact I might find more. It's better than listing everything on a single comment, I think.
1 year later... Yeah, that video probably isn't happening anytime soon. I found it in a sample library called "AKAI World Sounds." Apparently it's also in another sample library, "Northstar - Global Instruments."
I'm tracking down a lot of the instruments Todd Dennis used in the soundtrack. Anyone can help. A discord server with a spreadsheet is in the vid description... just in case you want to learn more.
Any news about your "on the works" project? Will you tell us sir where the original samples derive from?😌
Yes, a new discovery was made a few weeks ago regarding the steel drums, and maybe a few other things. I built a PC that can run After Effects faster than a slideshow, so it'll be worked on again... you'll see it soon.
@nevets5 THAT'S DOPE!Thanks for sharing this info with us.Hope you get it all done without too much trouble👌
From which synthesizer is this steel drum sample? It's kinda close to the Roland D-50
Hm, I didn't even know the D-50 had a steel drum preset. I'm not sure if it's on any hardware synth at the moment, because I didn't find it on one. I'll share the source in time...
wwwwwwwwhhhhhhaaaaaattttttt!!!!???
