I would love to learn more about how the animations are made.
First
Listened to "Chocolate Rain" for the first time in almost a decade this morning, and suddenly you're here. The Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon is real.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE
When a mom and and dad love each other…
Likewise
They were called Kaiten. They trained around Etajima in Hiroshima, they weren't expendable and they were considered some of the best new recruits and where recruited due to them being top of their class. They didn't want to do it... They were forced, I know this because my grandfather was one, he was lucky that the war ended the same day he was meant to be deployed.
Woah
emotions aside of course they were expendable to the Japanese army at that time which is evident by the fact that they were being on suicide missions such as this thats the very definition of expendable
Woow. That's VERY lucky. It would mean you wouldn't exist too
Is your grandfather still living?
They weren’t expendable yet the emperor and IJN were sending 18 year old boys out to their deaths 🤔 logic
Love the story in infographic formats. It's so cool to learn about this topic as well. Who knew WW2 had so many moving parts in the water as well.
Seriously mate
I love this channel. Learning new things (albeit sometimes a bit disturbing) is always great. 😉👍
Best video, you have ever posted good job!
Love how persistent you guys are at creating these beautiful videos and uploading for us.
I wonder how many WW2 videos I’ve watched from this channel
Love your videos man, i learn alot
Really liking all the WW2 content keep it up
“The Emperor Protects”
Indeed, for the Imperium of Man!
**FOR THE EMPEROR! AAAAAAAAAAAH!**
Italian Frogmen invented the "slc" (siluro a lenta corsa or "slow speed torpedo", also called "maiale" (pig) for the shape), it was attached to the flank of enemy boats and a timer was set, long enough to let the two men driving it escape.
They could drive it 100% underwater or only half submerged, they could also "spolettare a 0" (immediately ignite explosive"), making the "maiale" (pig) a kamikaze torpedo.
Simple history also made a video about this topic. There's actually quite a lot more suicide bombing tactics committed by the Japanese military during WW2 than you'd think
The Kaiten was a really bad suicide machine, the kamikazes did a good ammount of damage while the Kaiten did little damage while also sacrificing people. There was originally gonna be an escape door but it was canceled, and the hatch could only be opened from the outside so the driver couldnt even get out. When the hatch closes the driver knew they were gonna die even if they try to get out they cant, they are stuck and have a limited ammount of air. If the driver runs out of air before hitting the enemy they will sufocate and die before hitting the target.
The kaiten would also be a significant danger to the submarine transporting it. A kaiten could not take nearly as much pressure as a submarine, significantly limiting its diving depth.
I love your channel keep up the great stuff!
Great information with great animation = best video!
These video are so great I steady just be binge watching all these videos.great voice over and cool little effects with the cartoon kinda mini movie
Great video good work keep going 💯💯🙌🏼🙌🏼🥳🥳
Infographics very informative and entertaining
I play these videos almost every night before bed, always great to end the day with learning something! Keep it up guys!
like farming comment
I do the same, these videos are incredibly informative
The heaven Shaker was one of the Torpedoes of this class
This was cool to learn about. Never thought something like this would've been used
Same thing for did the rockets being guided by pilots.
They would be launched from a bomber and the pilot of the rocket would crash into the ship.
If I remember correctly it was called the cherry bloom or something like that
Same idea as kamekaze pilots.
These manned torpedo saw limited use before the war ended
Poetic Justice: The two engineers who came up with this crazy plan perished in their Kaitens before even engaging the US ships.
You should make a video of Kenny Veach. He was an explorer who disappeared about 6 years ago. There’s a lot of information you can research into.
epic love the vid
Your videos are great, but I see a problem in the maps used in your animations. I have noticed many time, you have marked the Indian borders with Pakistan and China wrong. North-western part of J&K is a part of Indian territory and India shared a small land border with Afghanistan as well. Same goes for North-eastern part of J&K is entirely a part of Indian territory and China is far away from borders. You can check more on this over the internet. Hope that you fix this error in future videos.
Breath of fresh air 😮💨💪🏽
This is so good.
When the vid shows
*THE EMPEROR PROTECTS*
I feel it
Oh wow!
whate programm do you use?
At this rate history won’t have time to keep up with the info graphics team
Very cool
Wow they have kamikaze submarine.
I wonder if they have kamikaze tank?
When I saw this:' They have kamikaze subs?' Never heard of them before! Another example that school doesn't teach us s%#@ anymore!
@@marystone860 yeah too bad school doesn't teach you that a lot of ww1 and 2 histories
Yup
It is awesome to watch infographics show on youtube I like what would happen if you didn't brush you're teeth for 1 week
Please make these podcasts!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
all guided missiles are kamikaze devices without a pilot.
Unless you count the computer as the pilot, though some missiles still require the aircraft to be pointed in the direction of where the target is.
@@fighter5583 yeah I know what semi active radar is
Info graphics is a few staff short of animating events as they happen
I know you are mainly an American channel but you should do a video on the HMAS Kuttable
(another ship sunk by mini subs) during the attack on Sydney Harbour in Australia. Or the Darwin bombings.
How long does it taKe to make an episode? Just wondering cause it looks like a ton of work as I start learning to make animations
How to make animations
Don't forget about the fukuryu scuba and Shin'yo boats!
The emporeror protects , warhammer brothers here we are
My great grandpa was in the navy around that time he was 16 when he enlisted
Have a nice night everyone reading this!!
Hiiiiiiiu I love you guys
The scariest soilder is a soilder who isn’t afraid to die
THIS IS COOL
thank goodness we have drones to do these kamikaze attacks nowadays
Dope

He said the thing!
I had my history teacher laugh at me for thinking this was real. 7 years ago
Wow
Kaiten.
I thought the boat said SCP 682
Hey Corporal? When exactly do I get out, to, you know? Not get blown up?
Get out? of the torpedo?
Yeah?
Well that's the neat part, you don't!
So, wouldn't I die?
Uhh, Nah.. You're good..
Oh shoot! Okay, Cool!
What's with Dark Docs and Inforgraphics show posting videos on Japanese suicide vehicles today?
Infographic show can you make a video about a boy fall in a well he was alive in Saudi Arabia he's 5 years old and it's very heartbreaking when he was stuck in the well he spend a whole 3 days in the well he's name was rayan so please make a video about him I'm begging you
I'm glad we've evolved and grew fingers since WWII.
Broken propeller on the plane at the bottom of the sea. I believe the shadow is misaligned on the moving one. It would be an oversight I would skim over animating this series too!
These animations are made quickly, and "good" animations, like the plane, might be drawn with shadows, but it is only meant to fool at first glance while allowing it to be animated quickly. You could say they are anticipated mistakes. If you were to count every mistake, you would not have enough fingers to do so. So, even if you point out the mistake it is not going to be fixed in a future video as it is the animation production speed that is the problem and not that they don't know how to make aligned shadows.
Award winning animations
So in the video thumbnail, how's his headband flapping in the wind whe he's encapsulated in a bubble. Does your hair blow with the windows up?
There's no Divine Wind underwater
Here’s a good video idea, make episodes about Trevor Henderson creatures, almost in the same manner your SCP explained videos are made. Possibly even some You VS videos
Hi
Why were they so determined to die?
In Japanese culture, they have a much bigger focus on the society in whole, compared to the big focus on individualism in the US. So, your duty is extremely important. Even so, if you didn't go, it would have brought shame on your family. They weren't determined to die. They were determined to serve their country and bring great honor to their family. Also, sometimes you have to put yourself in their position. What if the Japanese were just about to invade the US? How much would you be willing to give to protect your country and family?
@@bobthegoat7090 I’m just saying, there is a difference between sacrificing yourself for the greater good and dying just because someone told you to. In the end Japan still lost that war, so they died for nothing, they should have at least had the hope that they would have able to see their loved ones again instead of worrying about their pride.
@@bobthegoat7090 War isn’t a place for honor anymore
@@nnennav you are spitting facts
👍👏
You forgot to say that the original idea came from the Italian, the Italian "maiale" followed the same principle (without the kamikaze part) and was first tested in the 1933. If you think I'm wrong go watch the video about the "maiale" on the world of warships channel
Could always be completely separate ideas who are only similar by coincidence.
@@zettovii1367 yeah propably, I wrote this comment 1 year ago and completely forgot about it lol
You know an enemy is desperate for a win when their attempts to one-up you end up crippling themselves...
Fun how people in the comment section is saying they learned and the video was good . When it cane out like 5 min ago and the video is like 11 min. Kinda wierd but ok
hello
Why does his mic sound worse?
ummmm.......
well don't start none there won't be none
Thumbnail kinda sus
Almost like the Italian Maiale
👍🕯💯
I bet no US military personel has the courage to use that torpedo!
I'm alive idk what position I am in comments that's good enough for me lol
Lol
Honestly I think that a bubble canopy would've been a better idea on the actual deadly versions.
Would you lie down your life for USA?
Japanese subs
🇯🇵日本国は神が対応しました
🌟👁️🌟
This is what they'd assumed sunk the USS Indianapolis
Anyway, they delivered the bomb...
@@Gbari7 if only they knew
@@featuresnobodyaskedforwrong. The Japanese sub that sunk the Indianapolis had the suicide sub on board but opted to use a conventional torpedo instead.
U guys repeat same videos
Kamikaze anything was a failure for Japan.
*NOT* with Pearl Harbour . ⚓🇺🇲 🛩🇯🇵 🤳🇦🇺🇳🇴
I have a question why couldn't they use wires t control the torpedoes just like sager missiles?
because they have suicidal minds, that is why.
@@chrysllerryu4171 maby its cuz they didn't have the means to make them
In Poland in 1939 we've had the same idea
japanese 's the suicide squad
