I recently did my faux locs. The same way you did but I used the rubberband method and left my real hair unbraided. Saved so much time and hair still protected.

I'm a stylist, and I hate the burn method ONLY because it attracts lint NOT ONLY that it snags on your shirts and causes permanent damage to your shirts... depending on the material of clothing.

If you're covering the whole thing. Use yarn for filler. It's waaaay lighter and MUCH cheaper than buying the wavy hair.

Yes. I was looking at that too. There is no need for the wavy hair since no ends are being left out and that's just an extra layer of unnecessariness on top of human hair that needs to breathe

I feel you on not liking to install faux locs. I dread the ket braids especially when some ask for 3 layers. I love doing hair (especially box braids) but doing 60-75 feed in braids 😓

I love doing hair and I enjoy watching your videos too...I am a stylist...but I use a tool to burn my end which you can find on Amazon...it is called a connector heat iron wand...you don't have to worry about the flames and it gets the job done for sure...no more burning your fingers girly!!

Do you have recommendations for loose textured hair.? I tried one without the box braid on a client and that one slipped out, but the rest with box braids stayed the full two months.

I remember Doing this hairstyle when I was in school from time to time, my aunts friend does my hair and charges between $20-$40(She does her kids hair for free and close family’s is the same price, sometimes $15-$18)..it’s affordable and it lasts longer...still this video’s perfect to watch and learn how to do hair
