Its great to see google finally move in the right direction with the hardware, My last pixel 6a had micrphone damage and the service guys said that they had to replace the whole motherboard, if it had this design the repair would have gone a bit more easy on the wallet. Was waiting for this video to drop, Great teardown as always !
To be honest, you have done a better job than those bigger channel (iykyk). You have removed the battery how it was intended to be like. Good job!!! Such a pity that this year you are not doing the teardown of the flagships (Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL). Really hoping that next year, you will be the one doing the flagship teardown (P10 Pro series) instead.
Thanks! Yeah, I would have done them but since they already had been done by others by the time I was able to get them, it wasn't worth the cost of the devices vs views I would get. Hopefully I will be able to get them earlier next year.
And to be able to take off that damn Google search bar at the top of the screen. I sold my Pixel 7a because of that bar that cannot be replaced or moved. They say Android is more "free" than ios and yet they don't give you the choice to remove things of your home screen...
@@Pleskan87 I tried to use different launcher but none of them are as smooth and have great animations as the original one. And I don't want to change my original launcher, why on all Android phones you can do it but on the Pixels you cannot ? It's a thing to call Android free while on Pixels it's worse than ios. So for now they can keep their smartphones with software limitations.
Android doesn't have as much freedom as iOS lol (unless you want to waste time to delve deeper into technical things, experiment and mess around, iOS has always had far better customization) Third-party android launchers perform like shit and then there's maintainance part and stuff.
Yeah modular charging port aside, im still wondering why are batteries welded to the frame with the amount of glue that could probably hold an elephant's worth of weight. Its not like the battery will fall out at any given moment or anything. Is it really just a question of companies not willing to invest pocket change into inventing a thinner adhesive strip? Idk, i dont understand it. Just seems illogical to me to use THAT much glue for a part that clearly doesnt need that much. Not talking just about Pixel 9 here.
Aww, thank you Google for making the battery so easy to replace! /s

Finally the changing port is replaceable, that was something that got me worried when I bought my pixel 7, now I will buy another pixel when my buddy can't hold the pace
i have a pixel 9 and can confirm it's so much better than the other pixel phones i've had (the 3a and 7a). im getting 12 hours of battery on one charge, and ive had absolutely no heat issues like i had on my 7a.
Would be awesome see the camera from the side to have a mention of dimensions of the camera and how this engineering unexpected camera bump musst be popping out from the phone like this
You're welcome. Since its already been done by others, it won't be worth spending the money on them since they won't get enough views to justify the cost.
Been waiting for a replaceable USB-C daughterboard!. I wish the battery was easier to replace. That being said, I wonder if the Vapor chamber and the cameras (looks modular) of the Pro can be hacked into the 9.
Could you do a teardown of realme P1 5g and show us the vapour chamber they are using bco inspite of this it heats crazy upto 41°C just by using UA-cam for 20 min.
3:48 thats not Perfect too easy, any One Notice the battery Removes........ Finally Usb subBoard In pixel.........😂 10:39 Its Good to See. Easy to Replace............ Good Design for Part......... But Rates of PARTS its too Many Highest $ Cost they made..... Call Service Centre and get estimate of Part 😂
google need to stop using that stupid pulltab mechanism. apple repairability is the rock bottom still managed to use better pulltab. it was satisfying.
8,5 reparability - is device that can be repared by user, like fairphone 5 or something. i am skilled user, and i see that repair is a nightmare, i wouldn't step into it by my free will. this is 7 at most. at very most.
My repairability chart can differ from others. It's not only based on how easy the repair is but also other factors as broken down in the chart. The fact the screen can be replaced by just heating it up and prying it off from the front, and the rest of the phone parts can be replaced from the back not needing to take the screen off is already a good start. Overall its more repairable than the last models from google over the years.
Great work to demonstrate how correct removal of the battery to look like. Hard to do but possible whit cutting motion.
Thanks!

Bro just removed the battery how googled wanted .... I fix it couldn't do that , I bet Google engineers couldn't do it !!!
All they gotta do is have a better cpu and I'm sold

Thank you!
The person who designed the battery pull tab is a genius who hasn't removed one battery in his life.
:)
Thank you, there is a good chance I will be reffering to this sometime in the next few years ;)

Interesting to see google changed the configuration to a more traditional style.

Bro iqooz9s teardown please
I don't do IQOO phones since they don't get many views to justify the cost of purchasing the phone.
I saw a teardown for the Pixel 9 Pro XL which mentioned that it's tough to do. Seems like the regular Pixel 9 is much better in that regard.
Most of it is fairly simple, the battery will just take some time but doable. 🙂
Vivo v40 please
Ewwwwwwwww
Infinix gt 20 pro please

IQOO phones don't get enough views from people on my channel to justify me buying the devices. I've done some in the past and none did well so yep.
