  • This is a continuation from part one of Peter's first training shoot with Abbey, working on natural posing and getting her to be more confident in front of the camera. As he continues to talk train her, you will see how she starts to get a flow into her and keep a continaul drift rather than set poses. By the end of this, Abbey has already come up a whole level and is getting those stunning emotive shots you see in Peter's folio.

Even for just a plain headshot it gives a sort of confidence that the model is good about herself. Exactly on your mark. Always talk to the model. Regularly. Get them talking, into it, part of the scene. Doesn't matter what you talk about. Just talk. And exactly. To get expressions bring up things for the expressions. Dogs, pets, boyfriend being a moron, parents not understanding, the beach is relaxing, Skydiving, seeing a snake, etc.

She was a very robot model, she might work better with some wine, lol your so right about hands she used them way, way too much don’t. I know you might know Peter Hurley he rarely does hands, it’s all about the eyes and your standing on toes is so good and bring your mind somewhere is fantastic I’ve learned so much from you. Again that model face was stone, you really had to work her, but did a great job. I had a client once she said the last photographer asked she might be better if she drank a full bottle of wine before the shot. I knew than I had my work cut out for me.
