    Another fascinating session. The way Peter talks to his models and talks about camera face is always a good reminder on getting that whole natural look.

    She's a star for she is just a natural beauty and her modeling is shinning as this was a beautiful shoot. She picked up right where you all left off in what I see and has taken the natural beauty of which she is and brought her game to this beautiful series and created some gorgeous shots. She has gorgeous eyes and lovely face of which creates some natural pure shots and not those of which so many seem staged poses. Her natural pure look and her gorgeous eyes with her lovely long beautiful hair make her a natural beauty and a gorgeous model in the making of which I see her to be a great model. Be safe lovely Layla, Bec, and you Peter as well. Loved the shoot and always love how you capture the natural pureness and the gorgeous eyes of the beautiful models you shoot. Layla is going to be a great and beautiful model for sure.

    I absolutely love what you said about posing in this one. You have alluded to it in other videos, but you just came out and said it here. "It won't be a picture of you, it will be a picture of you looking like Queen Elizabeth." As I go further into people photography, I'm really starting to see the difference in those two things. I'm finding out I am terrible at posing people because it is unnatural for me to change a scene coming from 15 years of landscape photography, and if I put the subject in an unnatural pose for them, the whole picture falls apart. I appreciate your approach to posing because it is a natural fit for both them and for me. The resulting images will be much more organic I think as well. Thanks for another great session Peter!

    Great explanation of being in an uncomfortable position reflecting the face (I am gonna take notice of that looking at photos in the future)
    Now your model is lovely and adorable whilst standing next to you watching the shots you took, she is almost there on the shoot but it is good to look at her without a camera pointing at her.
    And this comment is not to diminish Layla but watching this video and thinking back to you last video where you shot Rara with a budget camera lens combi, man is Rara a pro or what, turning the switch and become a super model.
    Love to watch this and kudos to Layla, your time will come, 4 sure !!

    Really Love seeing you instructing the New faces. I wish every photographer would be like that. Just my personal feeling - and Not sure whether it could also be only because of the different lighting, but I find Layla great on pictures but even greater on Video. Photogenic vs videogenic - even if you dont agree here, do you also think that these 2 different types - being photo-/videogenic exist, Peter?

    I recently stumbled upon your videos and have really enjoyed all of them. This one in particular really interested me. Its a challenge for me to get expressions in beginning models. Layla did a great job, but I was wondering if you maybe wanted her to open up more? I get a lot of "staring into the camera" and it feels lifeless to me and never really sure how to get a subject to get the looks that you see in magazines or from the pros you work with. Perhaps its a combo of practice and just having a knack for it, but I wonder if there is anything we can do as a photographer to get that extra level of expression.
    Thank you for creating this content and putting up with all the feet questions ;)

  • @wbuttry1
    @wbuttry1 2 роки тому

    Layla just be yourself set as you want look the way you want It all comes down to you being comfortable around a camera you are the model you will be around a camera for your whole time as a model or a video camera, either way, you have to be relaxed. And a lot of photographers are going to tell you how to pose comfortably or not they want you in that position and it could take 20 pics to get what they want out of that pose.

    Many thanks for sharing this recording; whenever I notice there is a new backstage session, it makes my day. @Layla: Many thanks for exposing yourself for educational purposes, you are a beautiful Model, I like a lot your skin tone and your legs; I like your poses with one extended leg; you have a very serene gaze; your voice adds a highly human component to the session; I like when you are listening Peter’s lessons and interacting with him because this will help in your Model career; I wish other models learn from you so that they pose for fully trustable photographers like Peter that has high respect for women; you must know that Models like you motivate people like me (non pro) to pickup the camera when you are present in backstage sessions; in the past I used to enjoy looking at blackboards with mathematical symbols and now, for the pleasure of my eyes, they have been replaced by Peter’s white canvas with humans poses and shapes like yours. @Peter: There are priceless lessons everywhere; I am astonished time and again at your concepts about interacting with Models, this cannot be learned in photography schools, because this is not about photography but about respectful and free thought in art; please don’t care about people criticizing about your poses (10:03); I like a lot how the Model listens to your explanations and teaching (9:09-10:44) because, from my point of view, the process of learning is the most interesting one in the human life. My favorite poses are at 11:13, 12:12 and 12:48. @Bec: Many thanks for being with the video camera, recording this session and focusing on his and her moves; the person that captures an artist, who is capturing Beauty, becomes an artist too.

    I like this scene in color.. :) maybe it's because the skin tone is close to the hair tone. The frame is essentially monochrome, if you wash the heels, two tones remain - endless white and skin.
    It's hard for me to put it into words, but the model's facial features and expression have something tenderly maternal. It seems now she will get the breast and start feeding the baby :) Maybe in the next shot she's acting aggressive, but in the middle of the shoot it's still Madonna.
    No, aggression is not her property .. Nice photo session.

      Can process RAWs through this program with any camera on a Mac, but you will not be able to tether or use certain sliders. Alternatively, he recommends CaptureOne (not Lightroom)
