WARBIRD hits the Hub dyno and we check out the VL Commodore and its go fast goodies

- With the VL Commodore now well and truely cut up and all the go fast goodies coming, we thought it was time to do a trip to fill you in on the build.
First stop was DANDY ENGINES to drop off WARBIRD, After Frank and the team gave the engine a well deserved rebuild..
Then it was off to PSIDUP, the team have been flat out working on the rear end of the VL Getting it ready to handle a 6-7sec quarter mile pass.
After checking out the VL we headed to QUICKBITS to meet up with Sticks, who is suppling the Turbo and fuel system to help push us to that goal.
We then headed off to Higgins Heads to meet with Nathan and Paul from Paul Turner Race Engines.

Wish Warbird was in the states, but the spirit lives on here! It's been a huge inspiration for some fantastic burnout machines here and I just can't get enough!

lookin like a killer Build !! were currently wrapping up our Dart 331 build with a 76mm turbo for our Mustang Foxbody project . Keep up the great work .
So glad Cleeter sent it home in one piece, maybe now the boys will start doing regular maintenance on killa bee seeing how it went nope at their last event😢😢😢
It was sad to see Bee sold off but I doubt cleet will do regular maintenance on it as he should of in the first place
It's Motorsport mate, No engine is safe. I'm sure Cleetus and the crew had been doing everything Benny and Steve told them to do.
@@CastlemaineRodShop1976 yeah they said they were constantly changing oil, but James clearly didn’t drive it like they were told to, he drove it like a junkyard LS.
2mins and 20seconds of high revs even riding limiter repeatedly, especially in the last 40 seconds. Almost found it painful to rewatched the full unedited run just now.
James isn’t the only one at fault tho. Both of them should have picked up on it running differently, they’ve had it long enough and have a lot of experience with DA effecting tunes.
It’s all down to experience tbh, an engine and car at that level is literally running on the edge, so any part of it that’s not perfect is a massive risk.
the driver cannot afford to be careless.
That being said, It makes great content and I have no doubt that Cleet will have it fixed asap. Unlikely he will repeat the mistakes that contributed too

Dam.. That looks like its trying really hard to flip itself over backwards on that dyno the way that nose pulls up and I am only 3 minutes into the video! At least you guys set valve lash. Ole Cleeter decided to skip that step and probably a few other things the day before a burn out competition and they killed Killa Bee pushing a rod out the bottom.
CNC matching really has revolutionised engine building hasn’t it. Awesome work guys. Love the updates. Was that a billet Barra in a falcon at PSIdUP

Higgins heads are the bizzness. Not a lot can be done to improve the flow
How do you have a chevy truck I thought they didn't sell them down under
They sell them here, they are just super freakin' expensive. They get imported as Left hand drive, converted to right hook locally (We use the Canadian market cluster pack I believe).
They run into the AUD$100k range depending what trim pack you get.
