These matches are easier said than done... It may look simple, but realistically, they're both on their toes and heavily concentrated. I admire this Tira player, feeling enough confidence to use a risky character like that... Well done.

Using a character whose only pro is the stance that inflicts DMG on her isn't risky? Consider that her JS has such little to no DMG output than her GS. I personally believe Tira's most reliant when it comes to mix-ups, As a move-set Cervantes is far more useful than Tira, in technical terms. However, this match is one of those rare occurrences where "Tiers don't always matter".

Uhhh Tira is cheap with a 5% damage boost in Gloomy mode its basicly fucked up which Balanced Characters like Patroklos,Mitsurugi,Kilik etc are better
Miles Edgeworth PATROKLOS IS TOP TIER. he is LITERALLY the best character. 😂 Tira's Jolly mode is her main disadvantage and in gloomy she has a huge chance of switching back into Jolly. Also you have to take into account the chances of switching at low health.

I love it when people calling destroying the other player being cheap. Learn the goddamn game or go the fuck home nothing cheap about it its part of the game. Look at streetfighter 2 tournaments its common knowledge that you can move the screen to make an enemy fall on your ability and many more etc.
James Prescott They mean cheap as in the lack of skill it takes to use certain characters, that's what I hope they mean at least. Using the screen and maps to your advantage is just part of the game, I do think Tira takes little-to-no skill to use, however. You really just need to learn how to balance her Jolly and Gloomy side as well as the moves and combos that're off-limits.

I know a lot of people think this Tira player used some cheap tactics, but I thought he was fucking awesome. I admit I'm a little biased, since Tira's my main in all the Soul Calibur games she's appeared in, but still. I thought he did really good. The Cervantes player put up a good fight, too.
Cheap tactics or no. He won. People always get pissed because they lose so the find a reason to call bullshit. Usually by throwing the cheap tactics jibe.

Playing a Tira character is very difficult when it comes to keeping up her stances. She is considered as more "situational" and her moves cost her own health. It's more of a high risk, skill and reward. I am pretty sure that she was considered as a low-tier character. But Shining Decopon definitely proved everyone wrong for sure. I'm sure that people that call Tira a spammer either don't play Tira or follow the higher ranked players statements calling her trash. Why doesn't anyone talk about Astaroth that deals so much damage for only one hit and he can also break back grapples. :P
I know I'll probably get shit for saying this but. I like Tira, I like her back story and I love to play as her. I just think she unique with her mood swings and her ring blade. She's always been my favorite character since I first saw a SC game.

Those commentators are very enjoyable.
The people who have true skill know what it takes to win, even if it means to spam. If people can't swallow their egos about artificially-shaming tactics they will never get better. There is no shame because he was playing the game, all of his strategies were working, all of his moves were legal, and he won. The only cheap thing to do in video games is to hack, because that's breaking the rules. Spamming isn't breaking the rules.

I wish I could have recorded the match me and my friend had tonight. (yes, in 2023)
I was using tira, and he was using natzu.
And he had like 10 fights more than me won. But slowly I started figuring out tira. And caught up with him.
But there was one fight, one round where we were side stepping, dodging, jumping into the air. Blockimg. Neither of us landing hits.
So evenly matched that at one point we actually went to either sides of the map to catch our breath. Then continued. It was one of the greatest gameplays of my life.
It looked like we were 2 finalists at the toughest soulcalibur tournament ever held.

But sadly for him, The end score was 33 - 34 before we couldn't go on anymore.
Yes, we fought through 67 fights straight. Last like 10 fights was tira vs natzu.
Haven't paid attention to SC since sc2, i've read this one isnt good but it looks great to me, why is so "bad"?

Enter tournaments. shoryuken, eventhubs, discord, facebook, youtube, etc. Do the research. I dont know much about SC though.

Our egos make us not spam and that is why we fall for it so easily. Decopon took advantage of that idea.

The movesets are more easy and more advanced at the same time. Some of the characters from 4 were just too complicated and it kept a lot of people from playing it. But there is still a few complicated characters.

My friend is great with Aeon, and i'm good with Patroklos. People only use Nightmare/Algol/Cervantes online... Another good character if you know his combo's is Voldo, very underestimated character
