All things considered 🤝🏽there is a e-reader that exists that has a rk chip and it's roughly abt 4 times to price of this 😂🤙🏽🥂which is why I wanted to show how you can repurpose hardware to do a lot more with a little 🤝🏽 considering most ereaders in general in the small form factor have only 1 gig of ram 🐏 this is literally blasting past 🎉

Decided to pick one up in 2024.
And it worked! A lot of other reviews discouraged me to try or install the cfw but I like messing about with the Android 8.1 os.

Yeah personally I love using android on it 🙏🏽pretty neat as a baby tablet

@@amitejagency3277 this one doesn't have Wi-Fi on it but I have ordered the upgrade that does will be doing vid on that soon. Also I can confirm gamepass does work on this with a USB Ethernet dongle but ofc that's pretty inconvenient since you basically have to be attached to your router
How is the sleep functionality? Does it retain battery well enough when asleep but not powered of?
I will have to check this for you but haven't had any issues with that yet as sometimes I forget to turn it off and go to use it days later n lol 😄 realize I never turned it off

i know this is 4 months old but can you try putting a game called assoluto racing on it and tell me how it goes, i'm really curious if this can run it. if so, i'm buying one. even if it can't run it. oh also would it be fine if i were to just factory reset it as i really don't all of those emulators on it. just wanna put some games, steam remote play, and ppspp
It doesn't have Wi-Fi though by the way so you couldn't do steam remote play unless you connect a USB Ethernet cable
I saw your comment under ETA Prime's showcase video and thought I'd come over here to check out how you fixed this unit. You made it look pretty darn simple. I like that.
A minor nitpick I have with all of these widescreen handhelds is that they never include a WonderSwan emulator. WonderSwan was Bandai's Game Boy and Game Boy Color fighter and one of the things that made it special was a 14:9 screen. It's one of the few retro consoles that will both run on a potato and make a widescreen look good.
In regards to "Horizon Chase" feeling like a Genesis game, I think I know the one you're thinking of. "Top Gear 2" had the turbo and the little speech bubbles. It was fun. The original was on SNES and as a result I've never actually played it. I should. With emulation it's free now, so what am I waiting for?

Yeah you'll need to use a USB Ethernet adapter to get internet on it. Which means it will have to stay connected to your router by a Ethernet cable

I'm not sure about this you need to make back up before. But you can install the APK for whatever emulator you're trying to play
