5:30 “…that’s what we did to heal the heart. So often when I’m doing a smile it’s about the heart” I absolutely love that you mentioned this! We often strive for “textbook perfection” but oftentimes that is far from perfection in our patients’ eyes. If having rounded central incisors will make my patient feel good about herself, then I will do my darn best to give her the best rounded incisors she’s ever seen!
You are simply extraordinary. I am 52 GP from Slovenia. I am quite experienced in old fashion analog dentistry. Following you for the last year digital dentistry ibam afraid is becoming addiction. Thank you and best regards from Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Last week, I did a case, 5-14 (bridge 12-14). Presented a lot of photos with numerous characteristics…..patient nosedived to BL1. I cringed, but he’s so ecstatic and overjoyed. He wants the bottom done now. Also, I made him him a temp with BL3, to be conservative, but he wanted it lighter. He accepted the incisal translucent porcelain, but he was reluctant at first.
Thanks for sharing. Yes, I had a patient wanting the same thing, BL1. She loved it so well that every restoration in her mouth was upgraded to BL1 LT. She loves it, and her smile comes into the room first.
@ I’m going to self-prep my #8 (Endo) for a veneer and make a video about it soon. :). I have been fixing it (CL IV) 0.8 times a year since 2002. I think it’s time I use my CEREC and a very conservative prep.
Thank you Dr. Klim. I have always felt that I didn’t know what I was doing when matching shades. So upset the app is not available in the apple store. Already contacted my ivoclar rep. 🤷🏻♂️
Amazing summary of tips. It would make life simpler! Just one query, I am bonding my emax with heated composite. So, how do I select the composite shade considering using HT in all anterior and posterior cases?
The warm composite method is excellent. Same principle. How many composite shades do you have and what brand? Principle with HT, choose brighter options and tone down with a warmer cement color. This is the best of the best for HT e.max.
The app is produced by Ivoclar. However, the recommendation can be translated to other materials using the principles of ceramic value and shade selection. All the best.

So so excellent
Thank you so much 😀
Does the App cover other ceramics, or just those of Ivoclar?
The app is produced by Ivoclar. However, the recommendation can be translated to other materials using the principles of ceramic value and shade selection. All the best.
My rep has emailed the responsible team and they have no clue why the app disappeared from the app store. He will escalate to the vp of sales.
It is now back up.
