You need to do these long form videos more, they are awesome and incredible. It’s a better experience because it’s not just like a UA-cam short, so it’s one topic for a sustained amount of time, and so it’s awesome. Keep up the great work👍
Whats interesting is sometimes the most complicated riffs are not the hardest to get right. There are lots of riffs that are not as complicated but are just as difficult. Every breath you take by the police, not only is it tricky but it also isnt the same progression on the verses for the whole song it varies slightly. There is also a song by the police called secret journey and the the arpeggiated riff for that is also pretty damn hard. Got to get paid by ZZ top, the hybrid picking is actually much harder than it seems because its absolutely screaming with gain so to get it to sound clean with no noise playing up to speed and in time is actually really hard. Then dont get me started on fingerpicking stuff some of it is just as hard as any shredding or technically impressive looking parts. Deep River Blues by Doc Watson,Never going back again by Fleetwood Mac and Big Love are absolute monsters to play fingerstyle and to get up to speed.
My grandpa told a story of trying to learn some song by ear that he could not get, in his dream the guitarist who performed it came to him and taught him, I have no clue the legitimacy, but it’s fun
Mikey I love your content! I think it would be really cool to see you try out a classic Marshall style head like the Origin series to really get those Slim Jim tones!!!
I know that feeling, neglecting to learn my repitior and having to learn grade 8 guitar catalogue in 3 days before my recital, passed with flying colours but boy did I bleed
To be honest, I was expecting a piece from Tarrega or Villalobos. Their pieces are very technically difficult for guitarists and I think it would've been interesting to see someone try and play it for the first time. Still, great playing overall! Side note: Just because it’s played on Nylon string doesn't make it classical. Andrew York wrote and played his piece Sunburst on a steel stringed guitar.
God I suck!! I need this kind of dedication, unfortunately right now I just don't have the time but I need to pick a riff and stick with it. I'm low intermediate player at best right now. Any suggestions??
These long form videos are amazing! Keep them coming
agreed.
Yo tambien
Yeah, I love these videos
Every time he called it “cha-mer-ah”, it made my soul hurt
Cool video though
The only thing harder for Mikey than playing the riff, is pronouncing the name properly.
Literally dawg 😭

Chi...as in Chilly?
No. Chi..as in ummm chemistry.
My favorite guitar youtuber
3:21 I think he's the first guitarist to ever say that
4:37 I felt that bro 😭😭
would love to see some technical death metal in these learning videos. cytotoxin, archspire, nile and others would be interesting for you to learn.
He still wouldn't use distortion...
Probably play it on a strat
Like these other two comments, no distortion and on a strat
Necrophagist - "Stabwound" on a strat with clean tone
Cool to see you do other stuff then 'kurt' 'jimi' or 'frustrante'
So much respect for opening up and learning different genres. A true musician.
I love watching Mikey’s videos because they really go in depth and tell you what it is, these videos are a thumbs up always!!
Been watching your shorts for a while, would love to see what you would do with an 8 string honestly 😂 keep up the great content
Great video! Absolutely inspiring how much time u have put into guitar! Thank you 😊

Now try learning any metal solo
Slayer, Megadeath, Slipknot, Death, that kind of stuff :)
…with a slightly overdriven strat
@@Vengencetaken I mean I wouldn’t expect him to use EMGs or a good guitar with humbuckers any time soon
My grandpa told a story of trying to learn some song by ear that he could not get, in his dream the guitarist who performed it came to him and taught him, I have no clue the legitimacy, but it’s fun

I love those long videos right here😃
The long form videos are amazing!
a challange for you, learn holy wars
I know that feeling, neglecting to learn my repitior and having to learn grade 8 guitar catalogue in 3 days before my recital, passed with flying colours but boy did I bleed
Also had horrible conjunctivitis and couldn't see shit
i think his brain would implode if he heard something like rings of saturn, Gorguts or Archspire
This guy has the best guitar faces
If you want to make through the fire and the flames easier keep your pinkie planted
Good playing 👍
I’m learning the Nuno Bettencourt Rise solo myself 😂
Very cool, now try trough the fire and flames solo
I would like to see you play some archspire!!
Okay sixteenth notes tremolo'd are one thing but try the 32nd note taps on Cry for Eternity 💀💀💀💀💀
I would love to see you tackle something like periphery, I see them as a heavier sort of polyphia in riff style

try Cry of Accilies by alter bridge not the solo just the intro

WE LOVE LONG FORM CONTENT
Still weird hearing him swear
Fun

What's with the thumbnail and your new shiny nose, Rudolph? anywise, Great playing and content
What is that upside down headstock?
Neck for a lefty on a righty guitar
dam i wish i could play like this
God I suck!! I need this kind of dedication, unfortunately right now I just don't have the time but I need to pick a riff and stick with it. I'm low intermediate player at best right now. Any suggestions??
*YES*
Try some bass riffs, suggestion: Como Tudo Deveria Ser - Charlie Brown Jr.
nice
please do more long form videos
Bro changed his pick mid riff
Bro what kind of guitar is that? Is that just a left handed neck?
bro its KAI MERA not CHI MERA
Ohhhhhh, now i know the reason why you are not uploading UA-cam shorts too much
That had nothing to do with classical guitar.
Why is your headstock upside down?
i think he just put left handed neck on right handed body
i want more
Lmao at 4:4
For the record, chimera is pronounced "Kai-mehr-uh
you said the song name wrong
tech death lol
More blues videos
He said çimera
Very cool but it's pronounced kai-mee-rah . No hate, the pronunciation just made me chuckle
