Yeah people are lunatics talkin about the game. Giannis is probably once in a generation. I legit get scared for dudes trying to stop him like we’re bound to see a gory wound any day now.
@@R3vokenDallout1on here's the thing- how many elite three point specialists / jump shot snipers are in the league? Seems every team has at least one to some degree. How many slice and dice power forward / centers are in the league that can contort themselves around double teams with lightening quickness or simply jump over or through defenders with raw athletic power? There's one. No one else can do what he does. For a minute it was looking like Zion might be in that realm, but he's not even close.
Not a great argument. He could be scoring 35 easy with a jumper. You are all complacent and settling for good enough. He won a ring, congratulations. Unless he’s winning every year he should be trying to improve his skill set.
James Hareden called Giannis “Run and Dunk” once and people have run with it sadly. No body in the league has mastered the spin move, Euro-step as well as Giannis currently. He has good handles for his size to get to the rim (hence why he averages 30ppg) high IQ defender (won DPOY) just to name a few. Unlike Shaq, (1 made three in entire career), Giannis has made 504 and counting 3s. Clearly despite it being his weakness he doesn’t shy from improving. Plus if you watch his Bucks games, Giannis has been getting better with his midrange and post game. He is only 29, still room for perfecting his offensive skill set.
Thank you. I was disappointed to hear Melo say he has no skills. Like come on, you cannot be as successful as he has by just literally running and dunking. About 80%+ of his points come from his ability to maneuver in traffic.
He genuinely does have a handle for his height. Anytime I hear someone say this it's an immediate red flag that they don't actually watch him play often
Exactly, its such a dumb take. He can handle the ball, elite defender and elite finisher. How many 6"11 players have these skills? He's not a unicorn that can shoot, that doesnt mean he has no bag.
Giannis has skill. He is a great ball handler, he has a million ways to finish at the basket, he's great in the post, he's an excellent passer and playmaker, outstanding defender, etc. I'm tired of hearing that he's not skilled. Not having a consistent jumper is his only weakness
He doesn't have much skill. & It's ok my friend. He hasn't needed it. He has one good hand. He can only really finish in front of the rim. He lacks touch. He's an average passer/playmaker. He can't shoot outside of 3 feet. He shoots barely average jumper while being open lol. It's ok to admit he isn't skilled lol. He makes up for it with dominance, length & motor. He has a bag but if you looked inside all you'd see is a big ass sledge hammer & a power drill in there.
@@TheMonjok24 Giannis had a 16 assist triple double last week but he's an average passer? He's literally the best finisher around the rim in the league ... Sounds pretty skilled to me. People get on the Internet and say anything
Giannis has elite body movement coordination for his size, but I would not say he is skilled. He is 6-11, strong, has long arms, and is very fluid. His skill level is not higher than any 6'0 D1 guard. People vastly underestimate height, arm length, and coordination in basketball, a game where you're trying to put a ball in a 10ft basket. It's impossible to guard someone that tall and fluid even with a basic skill level.
No. Everyone can't do it because he's a physical specimen. The difference between him and Wemby is skill. His footwork, his movement, his shooting ability, handles, dexterity in the air, are not elite. But he's still great without skill because of his body.
@IziahThompson that is pure cap- how many people in the NBA 6'11" or taller- how many in the world? Yet only one Giannis. This is bullsht people say to try to discredit him. You obviously don't watch him actually PLAY either or you'd smell your own bs
Giannis already replied to this in a short about a month ago he said… “oh I don’t have a bag? ok, keep it that way so when you go home from Milwaukee and take that cold shower your gonna be wondering how the guy with no bag just beat you.”
The argument that Giannis has no bag is the most stupid argument ever. Literally everything he does is a skill, and just because he's naturally talented doesn't mean he should be punished for it or criticized. There are entire Sports dedicated to each individual category whether its speed strength or explosion. Giannis's ability to do that is through his training and that is his bag. Look at Usain Bolt. Anybody who doubts that it was through hard work that made him explosive and fast just searched him now that he has stopped training. It's much deserved but he has gained 30 lbs and without a doubt is no longer near the fastest man in the world. I think it's ignorance but really I think it's people are mad that Giannis is so great in a way they never were. Is mental toughness and Grit that is his bag as a basketball player. For instance Dennis Rodman and Draymond Green were great basketball players. Their bag of stuff that made them great we're not individual offensive skills. What's in a player's bag is in unique and doesn't have to be exclusively sick handle and ability to hit tough Fade Away shots in the ISO. I will take PRIME Shaq's bag of strength dominan over Prime Kobe's bag of being very skilled and athletic, even if it just by a little bit. Prime Shaq could be stopped by no one, I literally mean no one on earth. And to think some people would look down upon him because he doesn't have a bag like a guard handle is crazy.
99.999 percent of 6'11 people don't have Giannis' coordination, which is literally a fluke. Same with Embiid, you are lucky to be born with coordination even as a 6'0 tall person. NBA players have their kids trained since birth and many still end up uncoordinated and goofy because it's random. The fastest NFL players train their kids since birth and many end up not even have proper running form. Giannis is extremely coordinated in terms of body control at his height but his basketball skill level doesn't exceed the average D1 guard.
Eurostepping as a 7 footer isnt skill? Especially when he keeps adding new intricacies to it every year. Doing it with either hand, changing pace, starting on either foot, varying direction changes with each step
Everyone can do the eurostep, it’s really not a big deal It was a skill before bc it would be called a charge if you didn’t avoid contact with the defender
@@nydibs and yet nobody does it with as much precision as Giannis in today's game. The only players in NBA history I have seen play who could eurostep as well as, or better than, Giannis are Ginobli and DWade I should mention that his eurostepping skills are a big part of why SGA is so damn good too
@gotaplanstan - Embiid, Anthony Edwards, Fox, Luka, Harden… all of them eurostep all the time It’s really not even a skill anymore. Giannis is a tough guard bc he raises his elbows, both him and SGA push off all the time I guess you would have to understand how much the refs help players like Giannis and SGA in being as successful as they are

People criticizing Giannis for winning the Larry O'Brien trophy "with no bag" (a trophy everyone is vying for) are finding creative ways to hate. Just say you don't like the guy at this point 😂
I was listening to LaMarcus Aldridge on the All The Smoke podcast. He talked about Wemby's need to focus on developing 1-2 very effective move(s) he can go to anytime because in the game you have seconds to execute your play. I think he was suggesting that having a bag is overrated especially in today's game. To me, Giannis is the perfect embodiment of relying on that thing/move, which makes him so unstoppable
If Giannis is a run 🏃 and dunk player with no bag. Why other 7 foot players don’t copy and paste what he is doing? Deandre Ayton is super athletic he could do that too right? Javele Maghee is more athletic than Giannis but we don’t see him euro 💶 step dunking on people. This no bag narrative is stupid.
@@Askbeejbecause if you would’ve payed attention to what he said instead of highlights David Robinson when he first came into the league played exactly like Giannis get the ball run to the hoop dunk it which is exactly what Gianni’s still does til this day david became a back to the basket guy later on
Just bc two players look physically similar doesnt mean they play the same. Harden made this argument and sounded just as ignorant. Its annoying when players who lacked evolution in their game critique dudes whove won and evolved doing it. Just because Giannis doesnt isolate by taking 20 dribbles for a less efficient shot doesnt mean he lacks a bag.

Imagine saying a guy that JASON KIDD put at pg because of his vision and handles and that MAGIC JOHNSON AND ISIAH THOMAS PRAISED during the period when he ran PG and that Kobe called EXTREMELY SKILLED, doesn't have a handle is hilarious. I saw someone say that he's won a title and spent his career as a BALL DOMINANT MVP. that's not david robinson. David robinson didnt handle the ball. PERIOD. It's lazy bro stay me7o
What melo said flew right over your head. Giannis doesn’t have the handle to create his shot. He can’t cross over and get to a pull up. He can’t step back. He’s stiff with his handle. He’s saying if Gianni’s had the handle to cross, pull up, step back, (creat a shot off the dribble period), he’ll be out of this atmosphere. Which is true. Stop looking at it was a slight to Giannis. Every 7 footer can’t be kd
@@ddchoppa8803 me70 isn't certified to talk Giannis. Magic, Isiah, j Kidd are the greatest POINT GUARDS OF ALL TIME KOBE IS IN THE GOAT CONVO and they certified his handle. He's done step backs crossovers into spins, smittys, puts English on the ball when he don't dunk he has THE REPORTOIRE, just not the jumper. In fact one of his most infamous stepbacks was to send the KD led nets into OT FROM 3 and then he SEALED that game in the clutch. They kill me saying Giannis isn’t skilled.. wtf are they watching. His size bringing the ball up.. his footwork.. his touch around the basket. He actually does have a handle to.. it’s just not elite. He has his own bag
Here in Milwaukee we know he can do EVERYTHING… dribble, pass, block, can shoot threes now, free throws got better, has a very very solid turnaround post fade. But to everyone who’s ass we whoop its “run and dunk”. AND HES BARELY 30!
Those who say that Giannis " can only" run and dunk, are just jealous of his skills!!! Giannis has a lot of different skills. some days ago, he had 16 assists in a game man, and the day before, 64 freaκing points on the other game. His jump shot and midrange, has improved so much, that at some points he looks like KD, not often, but he's done that too. Should I keep mentioning the records he breaks every single night for the last moth or his defennce, passing, vision etc? Ιsn't that a bag of skills? Those who watch all the games, know what I'm talking about. Show some respect, to the best player in the NBA. He is the best, for many years now, thats why he gets all that hate. Merry Christmas haters and remember, the Apocalypse was written by a Giannis from Greece, because Giannis is the original name for John. Now go watch a different sport, that won't make you hate people as much.. and Merry Christmas to all of you!!!
There isn’t a 6’11 250 pounds PF that played like a wing player like Giannis. His athleticism, ball handling skill, touch around the rim and determination is like never seen before in the NBA
Giannis wins another chip and keeps up this pace he WILL be too 10 all time. Hes already top 20 already. Looking forward to hiw his game progresses over he next 3-5 years.
@@thomaschapman6088i agree with you. To be top 10 all time means Giannis would have to be greatest PF of all time. I would put him over Barkley but he nowhere near Duncan or Dirk in accomplishments
@@TheGmsmith928he's going to clear Durk by the end of his run especially if he wins another chip. He's about to be the first player EVER to average 30 points on 60% shooting, and is in his prime.
Ironically, Giannis is a PF with no post moves at the same time dishes like a point. A 2-way player that scores in an open court. A definitive 1-of-1. As the game evolves more after he retires, we will never ever see another Greek Freak ever again.
I always wonder when they say handle do they mean ball control or dribble packages(between the legs, hesi, etc.). Because he has great ball control for a guy his size. Maybe he doesn’t have the “moves” other players have, but he gets exactly where he wants to without them. Ironically it’s an argument I’ve heard used to praise people like KD(only needs a couple moves to get where he wants) and the same people use to detract from Giannis. Because 1 guy uses it to get to his most effective spot, the mid range pull up, and the other guy does it to get to his most efficient spot, the rim.
Most hoopers seem to think that being skillful is mostly about shot making, shot creating or how flashy your game is. Giannis definitely has skills. Melo sounds ignorant af here, same thing with Harden. Giannis can finish, pass, post, and can handle really well for his size.
So, if this brother took different things from different players and adapted them to his game, how is it possible that he doesn't have a bag? Cause I don't see that many 6'11 running and dunking on everyone, the last time that I checked, Javale McGee never average 30 ppg in any season or Tyson Chandler or DeAndre Jordan. The brother has a bag, he can dribble, he can finish at the rim and he is coordinated, most guys of his size don't have those attributes, and on top of that he is arguably the best defender in the league 😐. Jamal Crawford is one of the most skilled players ever and nobody is going to remember him in 10 or 20 years, Giannis is already in the history of the NBA, the man is a 2xMVP, DPOY, Champ and FMVP.

He trained with Hakeem Olajuwon this summer and it’s already showing dividends. Check his 64 points game out. He utilized that training well that game.
Agreed, his footwork has improved dramatically. He's also developed a nice reverse spin jump hook in the lane as a go to move. I think we will see a lot of that in the playoffs.

The bag talk is one of the most ignorant basketball conversations of all time. Having a bag and nothing else is cool only for park ball. In any competitive professional setting, knowing how to play the game is much more valuable. Making the game easy for you and your teammates is much much more valuable. Playing defense, being the low man, switching, maintaining the intensity on both ends are all more valuable. These are all skills as well. Saying the only skill Giannis has is his athleticism is so not true. Having a bag is only valuable if it actually helps your team win. Nick Young had a bag. Nobody cares. Steph has a bag but that shit helps him warp defenses and contributes to winning. Giannis does not need a bag to affect winning. That's the difference.
@@z-mane1438 Shaq didn't have a bag either. Neither did Kareem. Hell Magic didn't either. I don't see anybody bringing up their lack of a bag in conversations. Why only bring it up when talking about Giannis?

I feel that every position is going through an evolution except the SG position. If the trend of athletic, tall, and lanky ball handles continues, we're going to see a SG of that build soon. We haven't seen that since TMac.
@@Lo_2xx But wouldn’t you say Wade is an evolution of the Jordan skill set? I’m not turning this into an accolade contest, I’m talking style-wise. D. Wade at his peak was “Jordanesque”. His body control, finishing ability, athleticism, and first step was Jordan level, but he had a more refined handle. If Shai’s Wade-like, then he’s like the next evolution of the Jordan archetype. The athleticism may hold him back from a play style perspective from playing like MJ tho.
The footwork is what's not talked about Giannis knows how to get to where he wants. His bag is similar to Shaq bag. having great footwork and being dominant in the paint. That's a bag if you ask me until mf stop it.
I don’t get the “it’s too late in his career. If he had a handle he’d be beyond incredible.” Imagine telling Kobe that shit. He was always trying to get better and add to his game, into his mid 30s. If Giannis can get better, he should be trying to get there.
"I don’t get the “it’s too late in his career. If he had a handle he’d be beyond incredible." What Melo is saying makes sense. Here is the anatomy. The muscles of the hands and wrists have lot of nerves and rich blood supplies because we need them for fine motor skills like writing, playing the piano and "having a handle." Consequently, it takes a lot of time and effort to refine eye to hand coordination and fine motor skills. So, if you don't start doing the work at a very young age, then you will never master those movements. Sure, Giannis can develop a competent handle, but I don't think that is what Melo is talking about. Melo is talking about Kyrie Irving level "handles.' For Giannis to get that level of handles, he will have to put in an insane amount of hours to develop those hand muscles and eye to hand coordination. It will be a lot of work for low yield. Thus, it is not efficient. Because, he still has to put in the work to keep up his what he already does best to Championship level. There is not enough time in a day to be a master at everything. Conclusion, at this stage in his career it will be more efficient for Giannis to spend most of his time working on what he already does best, while spending some time to get his weaknesses to competent levels.

If Giannis has no bag, he would share the same fate players like DeAndre Jordan or Blake Griffin . Yet, I don't see those guys dribbling through 3 or 4 players, spinning/eurostepping, and finishing ambidextrously at the rim. I don't see these guys leading the break, crossing over, going behind the back and throwing crosscourt or no look passes. Or, does having a bag mean you must have a pretty fadeaway jumpshot? Sounds pretty limited to me. I guess Magic had no bag then. Or Lebron for that matter, a guy who's made a career out of bully ball. Yet somehow its a problem when Giannis does it.

Bc the NBA allows offensive players to just run at the defenders nowadays. Get rid of defensive 3 seconds and start calling charges and Giannis is a mid player

hes got skill because as the opposing team when you step on the court. you KNOW hes gonna come right at you and he still scores 30 no matter what you throw at him. thats skill in my opinion .

For less than casual fans who dont know what 1, 2s and 3s are. 1 - Point Guard (PG) 2 - Shooting Guard (SG) 3 - Small Forward 4 - Power Forward 5 - Center I'd say what's really interesting is most unicorns and players that don't fit the mold cleanly, usually can play two positions or are widely considered flexible to play many roles. Jokic, Ben Simmons (before he busted), Steph who plays pg is usually called an sg due to how he plays, etc.

Yeah his midrange is actually getting sneaky.

If it wasn't a 'skill' then everyone would be able to do it. This argument is nonsensical
What a braindead argument. Being highly athletic with a huge frame is NOT A SKILL, that's why no one else can do it.
No. Everyone can't do it because he's a physical specimen. The difference between him and Wemby is skill. His footwork, his movement, his shooting ability, handles, dexterity in the air, are not elite. But he's still great without skill because of his body.

Contemplating life in the shower😂😂😂. I love Giannis man
The argument that Giannis has no bag is the most stupid argument ever.

The funny thing is, Giannis does have a great handle.

Saying the only skill Giannis has is his athleticism is so not true. Having a bag is only valuable if it actually helps your team win. Nick Young had a bag. Nobody cares.
If he had a handle he’d be beyond incredible."
What Melo is saying makes sense.
Here is the anatomy. The muscles of the hands and wrists have lot of nerves and rich blood supplies because we need them for fine motor skills like writing, playing the piano and "having a handle."
Consequently, it takes a lot of time and effort to refine eye to hand coordination and fine motor skills. So, if you don't start doing the work at a very young age, then you will never master those movements.
Sure, Giannis can develop a competent handle, but I don't think that is what Melo is talking about. Melo is talking about Kyrie Irving level "handles.'
For Giannis to get that level of handles, he will have to put in an insane amount of hours to develop those hand muscles and eye to hand coordination.

Dude, learn to read and to understand what you are reading.
Embiid doesn't have "handles."
LOL
Wild to say Giannis no bag. He working HARD and is built like a bodybuilder that’s a skill to do that and still be agile in the paint like he is.
You don’t think Steph is the same way? He is just naturally an incredible shooter and then worked to make that even better
He don't need to be Melo...Melo been passed 😂😂😂
Giannis has nice handles, good game sense, nice touch around the rim, god like defense, solid passing ability, and so on. Even if he can only run and jump......how is he so good if he doesn't have a bag lol.
I'm disappointed in Melo this take is ridiculous and damn near hating makes me think he has a different motive for this conversation smh go home melo
Why do you feel like he’s hating tho?
Nah he bigged him up.
Steph got the just came back from Black Friday shopping bag, Giannis got that I need to run to the store right quick bag
U naming Players who genuinely had incredible Ball IQ playmaking wise.Magic also had a incredible handle for his height.LeBron court vision was top tier. And he has a pretty good shot he don’t just play bully ball. And Giannis shot isn’t that effective most of his game is only effective around the rim and that’s a true fact, even tho I don’t like how they making him seem like he has improved over the years when it does come to his game,Cuz even tho his shot is not that effective as the other players I named he definitely has better his shot,Hell they making him seem like a Ben Simmons when he 10x better than that.
You are never too “far” in your career to improve your game!
If Gianna’s isn’t skilled why hasn’t anyone stopped him yet???. If he’s so one directional why haven’t can’t no one stop him . He’s HIMOTHY for reason
Bc the NBA allows offensive players to just run at the defenders nowadays. Get rid of defensive 3 seconds and start calling charges and Giannis is a mid player
@@nydibs so he’s the only player taking advantage of that?.. if that’s the case the whole should be playing like Giannas then.
“You can’t be perfect” great point melo
Na this a whole fact is Giannis spent just a hr with melo his offensive game would be unworldly
False Giannis doesn't need that hater
How about Melo should spent time with Giannis and maybe he could actually be a leader and carried his team to a NBA championship
@@theetruth8626man shut up u sound like a bitter woman you don’t know any of these guys and you talking to much
Melo straight hatin if he played defense maybe he would have a ring🤝🏾
Shaq didn’t have a bag either. 90% of his game was just him being bigger and stronger than pretty much everyone else.
I never understand why some people think that they can criticize an NBA player. Do you know how many people around the world can shoot and dribble the ball, but can't play in the NBA? Giannis is special. Put respect on his name.
Foo melo don’t make no sense, Giannis has no skill sha 😒, get u a ring, run 🏃 fast like a guard, and defend all at the same time then we can talk.
He never said no skill he said he’s not a fundamental skill player ..then used curry as an example he literally says what Gianni’s does is a skill in itself and it’s working so he shouldn’t change it . Smh u just looking for something to be mad about
Ngl if Giannis started working with Melo that shit would be 🔥
This day people want to talk about what someone doesn’t have when before it was about what they do well in order to win. Who gives a f about a bag if you not winning? We have a bunch of people with “bags” that are still losing. If you win playing to your strengths, that’s what matters.
This people are uncover haters playing like they mean good. Giannis and Melo doesn't have a respectful relationship because Melo thought he was going treat Giannis when he was rookie. Giannis bulked up the next season and bullied Melo on the court.
💯
@@theetruth8626 Exactly. Once Giannis surpassed him it became hate. Even the premise that giannis doesnt have a handle is either from someone who is a HATER or hasnt watched giannis play for a Decade.. .
the man RAN PG and was praised by ISIAH KOBE & MAGIC and JASON KIDD. and you saying he doesnt have a handle melo crazy
@@da11king I'm so sick and tired of these uncover haters saying Giannis don't have a bag when the fact this guy been playing the point guard for Milwaukee dam there his whole career at 7 foot. It been hundreds of 7 footers that came thru the league and none of them was doing what Giannis is doing. If Giannis don't have a bag then what that says for all these cats how got a bag. Because they ain't winning nothing like Giannis yearly. But keeping it real everybody that's elite skilled player has always been underachievers never living up to the expectations they was supposed to. Look at Durant prime example
@@BibbyDaprizonCheekzBandit it's hard to take these haters seriously especially when Giannis destroyed them on the court. Then exposed these cats as diva superstars
Nobody is perfect he is elite at everything but shooting
remember how skinny kid was? and people wanna talk him down, they must be miserable
Carmelo Anthonys hair grows so fast 😮🤩
So Shaq had no skill?? I didn't know Melo talked nonsense...
U not listening shaq ‘s game didn’t rely on skill and he’ll tell you that himself he’s skilled when he needs to be but his playstyle was brute force and athleticism which is why when he got old he fell off fast af
Giannis with Melo triple threat Mid post work sounds insane 😭😭😭
FACTS!! 😂
A lot of people think Giannis doesn't have a bag and that his skill set should be duplicateable with strength and effort. If that is true, where is DeAndre Ayton. He has the youth, the body, and the strength.
I wonder what happened. He used to bully college players. I guess that level of intensity Giannis has isn't something that people can copy. even if the skills he uses with that intensity are easy to do.
Ayton doesn't have Giannis' coordination at that height, nobody does. Giannis is also more skill in terms of handle and passing. Giannis also has better spacial awareness, which is underrated in basketball.
None of those players are as agile as Giannis. You have to look to players like Wemby, Chet, Jabari Smith Jr to find anything comparable to Giannis’ ability
Deandre Ayton could jump, that’s it
@@nydibs -- I would never put Wemby and Chet in that conversation because it doesn't look like they will ever have the force to do what he does.
Maybe Jabari Smith and Ben Simmons when he cared.
Giannis is just too unique and it is weird because it seems like most of it is sheer will and forcefulness. Weirdly, it is hard to duplicate.
More people are willing to copy Steph than Giannis when one appears on the outside way harder to emulate.
Giannis skills are underrated because he’s not a one trick pony. You can’t highlight one thing.
No handle but still can get you 5 assist tho
While being a ball dominant player who gets you closer to 6 assists.
if he didnt have a handle how could he survive in the league as a primary ballhandler? Melo either lazy or a hater bro
BK disappointed.
@@BibbyDaprizonCheekzBandit nbs I couldn’t even play Greek Freak like that. He can handle the ball.
@@BibbyDaprizonCheekzBandit it has to do with the lack of personal connection because let’s be real if bron had the same exact play-style has Gianni’s this conversation with melo wouldn’t be the same. 💀 ( even tho Gianni’s has showcased his ball handling skills more often compared to bron.)
GIANNIS HAS SOOO MUCH SKILL !!! and this is another reason why European players are dominating the NBA - the casuals and even NBA players care about TALENT and Bags and forget about doing YOUR JOB AND DUTY WELL!! and Giannis has continually shown skill and improvements and doing his job well . I WOULDN'T CHANGE EITHER!!! GIANNIS KEEP DOING YOU and make them know you ain't nothing to play with.. We haven't seen this before.
Melo trying to give flowers to giannis while insulting his skill set.Giannis size is not something new in the league ,the way he controls his body ,his handle of the ball and the soft finish at the rim with that size make him special. No hating on you melo but i dont like your take .
Exactly what I’m saying. it’s a reason why Gianni’s doesn’t associate with most of this popular nba player’s or hit the open gym with them. How u gonna say a guy that’s coming down hill he’s hitting spin moves, crossovers, hesi and switching directions with an in and out cross while attacking the rim has no skills. 💀💀💀(only because he struggles with shooting)
How is he insulting him smh y’all soft as charmin smh he literally said his style is a skill in itself . Melo was clearly speaking on fundamental skills that don’t rely on athleticism which is why he compared him to curry who is like 95% fundamental skills
Como´n Giannis has a serious bag: spin move, euro step, bag of lay up, power, intensity, defense and post up is coming. And Giannis is not soft, he's hungry. He's a unicorn
Coz people always wanted to see the showtime of the player's skills in every possession. Giannis is like playing the right way. He's playing plain basketball because he's maximizing his length, agility, athleticism and strength which is where he is successful.
What's crazy is that anybody in the league if given the opportunity would take that dunking on everyone all day 💯 he's y2k real life
Yes, in today’s NBA all you have to be is big and athletic and you can dominate. Defensive 3 seconds and touch fouls have ruined the nba
hes got skill because as the opposing team when you step on the court. you KNOW hes gonna come right at you and he still scores 30 no matter what you throw at him. thats skill in my opinion .
Colleagues at my job didnt know what the actual positions of basketball were called. For less than casual fans who dont know what 1, 2s and 3s are.
1 - Point Guard (PG)
2 - Shooting Guard (SG)
3 - Small Forward
4 - Power Forward
5 - Center
I'd say what's really interesting is most unicorns and players that don't fit the mold cleanly, usually can play two positions or are widely considered flexible to play many roles. Jokic, Ben Simmons (before he busted), Steph who plays pg is usually called an sg due to how he plays, etc.
Giannis be like hmm multiple MVPs, a Ring and I'm only getting started 😂
Giannis bag is crazy his euro step and drop step spin is brazy and it’s comin at 100 mph
Don’t give af what nobody say Giannis been my guy for years now the funnest player to use on 2k & everything dude just a dominant specimen
People are talking about his ball handling skill at his height. Since when height has anything to do with how you handle the rock. I never understood that!!!
"If he had a handle.." Correct that he does have insane handles especially for a big the only big with better handles all time is KD and thats saying a lot!!!! Like people need to stop doing all that also GIANNIS Layup package is sooo underrated like the way he finishes through contact on his layups his flexibilty and dexterity around the rim he is also quite underrated on his acrobatics like come on dont do that!!!!
Never thought id see Mero and Melo together interesting dynamic
Glad Melo shot down the Wemby/Giannis comparison, because he’s wayyyy more similar to KD. Also, Wemby may not ever become strong like Giannis. KD gained strength, but he’s not known as a strong guy, now. Wemby seems more likely to follow that path rather than following Giannis and becoming super strong
he does have the mamba mentality. thats why i still think hes the best player in the league. no matter who gets mvp
" That's a quick flip " you can tell melos from New York . He's got the wall street mentality since he's retired 💯💵
Crazy how people in the comments telling a top 10 scorer of all time about breaking down basketball skill. He never said Giannis has no skill but his motor is what makes him thrive.
Melo u were the one and only player with a BAG BAG. ive never seen anyone with a bag like urs. U had a bag for every situation and u drilled those moves so much u looked like u were dancing on the floor. U was doing a ballet on them nggas. U the most beautiful player i ever seen.
