Melo saved the Nuggets. They were irrelevant before he arrived.
He also was thrown under the bus on the trade. He did the nuggets a favor by telling them that he wasn't going to re-sign so they could get compensation for him. Melo is a drama queen and had problems everywhere he played. Dude is complaining about leaving Denver on bad terms and Denver giving his "15" to Jokic, and that was always Jokic's number, and that was 2 years after he left. He's only bringing that up after Jokic had one of the greatest playoff runs of all time. Melo is a cancer on any team he played on. Pretty selfish player to be honest with you. I don't know why people look up to this guy. Also got Jeremy Lin out of New York because he wanted the spotlight and was jealous of the way Jeremy Lin was playing.

George Karl had inner issues that he never solved from his past, having resentment towards his former Team Mates that was great. Ego is a Killer in life and from not self admitting that you have pain, hurt, frustration, that's inbedded within your soul, that you have a problem. And some people carry their long term bitterness throughout their life without getting the help they need ,by seeking a Therapist too help you cope with your challenges, that you ignore and deny, because your blinded by your success and winning vibes in life. And as a Coach of any Sports Team ,you have too be aware of your players feelings, while having a healthy environment.

George Karl was an Adam-Bomb-Garbage-Pail-Kid-looking-Dollar-General-Dean-Smith-Tree version of Larry Brown with his passive-aggressive buck-passing transient nature, media-campaigning, superstar-hater, play-the-game-the-right-way-in-the-Lord-of-the-Four-Corners-name-while-taking-everything-personally-refusing-to-treat-the-young-black-men-who-made-him-rich-like-human-beings, while forcing his non-balling son upon a league he never shoulda been in.
And after everyone got tired of that act…he caked off talking shit about all his old players with his brigade of YT media buddies helping to promote it.
Same thing woulda happened to Feel Jackson if Mike didn’t get sick of Doug Collins or if Apex Shaq hadn’t been ready to win.
You can only get away with being a dickhead who takes digs in the press for so long without winning.
Even Larry Brown knew that, which is why he negotiated to steal Rick Carlisle’s job during the 2003 ECSF while simultaneously being out-coached by him, because he had an chance to get into a better situation (after he decided not to draft Dirk or Pierce plus supermax 55 year old Mutumbo) while blaming Allen Iverson.
      Fuck both of them.
I can’t stand coaches who keep preaching accountability, yet stay telling reporters whose fault it is, then if they ever win take all the credit.

Fast forward to 2016, his president bashed him just like his coach in 2004. That shit followed melo and he was cheated out of an even more legendary career. Looked up Karl's stats as a player, and it explains alot to me. He was an avg player. Didn't have great numbers. He made it to the League, so I'm sure he had aspirations of being a star player. But he played in San Antonio, George Gervin was the star and focus of the team. That could explain maybe why he was so hard on the star players. And also I think of the salary factor, the guys he coached made more money then the entire teams he played for. I think Karl was jealous, and envious of the players he was supposed to coach. The star players were living out his dreams, while he got to watch from the sidelines...

IMO Jackson is the reason Melo is not in the league anymore since he was the one who started the ground work of assonating Melo's character, the Owners and GM's took heed to all that SMH

Detlef Shrimf was nice. It sounds worse given what Melo became. But as a player starting out that’s not an insult. It’s a misread though.
Melo still never become the defensive player he should have in terms of on par with his offensive prowess. G. Karl was right about that part.
Much respect for Melo still! Ain’t nothing wrong with being you. Life is bigger than basketball. I look forward to more of his perspective coming out.

George Karl said Carmelo's not as efficient as Schrempf, which is true. Detlef Schrempf also had a Net Rating per 100 of +10, Carmelo's was literally -1.

Melo's own arrogance and shitty attitude got the best of him which kept him from developing into that elite player he could've been that got him championships. He was lacking older leadership to take him to the next level. He should've been in the gym when his teammates we're out getting high and drunk.
