@@researchwithfawad Dear Sir, Is it necessary to have continuous independent variable normally distributed? I am also struggling with multiple extreme outliers. May be it is due to low sample size?
You can use Skewness and Kurtosis to check for assessment of normality. Please remove extreme outliers.
You saved my thesis bro. Thanks alot
Glad to hear that

Great explanation prof. thank you. could you please make a video of how to use a two-stage hybrid SEM-ANN approach for assessing the predictions, I will be very grateful to you.
Pleasure. I am glad you liked it. I am afraid i haven't worked on that technique yet.
Hi, professor. Thank you for an incredible video! I found it very helpful and straightforward. I am struggling with my binary regression result, because Omnibus test was found significant (p
Thanks for watching. If one of them is acceptable, you can say it is quite acceptable. You do not need to create dummies for ordinal, but if you want to remove a category, this can be an option.
Hi, I've found your videos incredibly helpful. So, thank you so much for providing this content! I have one question. You've cited Hosmer, Lemeshow, and Sturdivant (2013) and Leblanc and Fitzgerald (2000) for the sample size assumptions. However, no references are provided for this in the video or on your website. I'm having difficulty locating them. If you have these to hand it would be a great help. Thanks!
Thanks. I am glad you liked it.

@@researchwithfawad Thank you so much!
Hi good day
I would like to ask about the interpretation of logistic regression in SPSS, because I did background LR logistic regression and the analysis result provide me some choices on Step 1a, 2a, 3a,4a.
Hence, I’m wondering that can I take each step of the value that I want ? Or I only can take the value is in Step 1a while I cannot take the value in step 2a
What steps are you referring to, where are these in this video?
JazakAllahu Hairan mr. Fawad! Thank you for the videos. Could you please say what should i do if in my model everything is good except Pseudo-R square (Nagelkerke is 0,17) but my data is secondary firm-level data, what can i do with that? thank you in advance for the answer!
Thanks for watching. 0.17 is 17%, this is quite acceptable in social sciences.
Thank you so much for this informative video! How can one control for other factors when performing binary logisitic regression on spss? For example, if one wants to see if an IV (e.g., age) is predictive of falling into a target group after controlling for something else.
I am glad you liked it. One way to do it is to first run a model without controls and then run with control and see if the results change. If they do, the control variables have an impact on the outcome.
Great work Sir, thanks so much, but I wish to ask that if you can do moderation with logistic regression? If yes where do you place the interacting variable on the SPSS?
Thanks. I am glad you liked it. The interaction is you IV. So it goes in the independent list. If it turns out to be significant. the moderating role is significant.
Thank you sir for providing clear description of binary logistic regression. lot of thanks....
You are most welcome
good
Thanks. I am glad you liked it.
Thanks for the explanation. I have a question. Is that will be a same step, if the data aren't only ordinal?
I mean my data (Independent Variable) has a scale, nominal, and ordinal.
Thanks for watching. Yes if the DV is binary, and IV can be any scale.
Hi. Your video is quite helpful, thank you. I’m trying to carry out the same but I’m using 6 categorical IV and 99% CI. How do I navigate the options please. The result I’ve been getting is insignificant
Thanks for watching. For 99%, interpret significance at 0.01.
Sir, I got sig value of.002 of hosmer and lemeshow test which means a poor fit...how can I improve this value and make it greater than.05?
If you have categorical data, you may run the regression for each category and see which category is performing poorly and remove it from your analysis.
Asa, can you please explain if the significance value of Hosmer lemeshow test is less than 0.05, can we interpret our results? Is this associated with significance of overall results?
WAS. HL is for model fit.
Hi! Thanks a lot. Your explanation is understandable. Just want to ask how you prepare the instrument (survey) in your data gathering? What are your criteria for coding technology (1-6), IR (1-7), VAS (1-7), PR, Reputation, etc.? Hope you can respond. Highly appreciate it if you can share it with me. Thank you.
Thanks. I am glad it was easy to understand.
Yes, i do have this same coding strategy. I put in a number with the initials of the construct. Like if i am entering data on Servant Leadership and it has 5 items, so my coding is SL1, SL2, SL3, SL4, SL5
@@researchwithfawad Did you use the likert scale? Do you have the indicatots below those items (technology, IR, VAS, etc.). I have challenges encounter in formulating my survey questionnaire.
can you tell if null hypothesis is correct then what about exp beta
how will i interpret those
It still shows the Odds but the impact of predictors is insignificant.
I recently run analysis of my data. Hypotheses look good, r square looks good; but model fits are not encouraging. Please what would you suggest for me to do in order to get my paper published
Please check Modification Indices, Standardized Residual Covariance. You may also refer to this video

good presentation. i want to study export trade participation. may awareness , lack of capital, government policy and production capacity and others are considered as independent. can i use probit or logit.? how ? could you give me some hint with reading materials?
Thanks for watching.
As for the use of Logit and Probit model, The logit model assumes a logistic distribution of errors, and the probit model assumes a normal distributed errors. These models, however, are not practical for cases when there are more than two cases, and the probit model is not easy to estimate (mathematically) for more than 4 to 5 choices.
Thank you for the great explanation, sir. I would like to ask:
1) why do I get a very high exp B value (eg: >5)
2) can i randomly assign my reference variable? For example: gender consists of male and female, is it fine to randomly assign any one of it as a ref variable or it has to be supported by previous evidence?
Thank you.
Thanks for watching. P value is dependent on data. Yes, you can assign any category as reference
what to do if omnibus and hosmer and lemeshow test are different in signifincance?
To the best of my knowledge you can go on with the interpretation and reporting but report that contradicting fit results.
Hello there , From Ethiopia
It is a very helpful video. Thank you
But I have question while doing my thesis by multivariate binary logistic regression it works for some variables but not for others ( may be low sample size for these predictor variables) ; how can I proceed ?
For bivariate logistic regression model it works
Hi. Thanks for watching. What is your sample size?
@@researchwithfawad 273
it is ok for some variables
but not doing for others who had small number of respondents
Very good explanation. Please is it possible to have the PowerPoint presentation???
Thanks. I am glad you liked it. Please email me on kh.fawad83@gmail.com
Hi sir,i have a question if in independent variables which have some category like →literate variable category( 0,1) zero means illiterate and 1 means literate.
and other variables have there own categories
In this case i can use your simple method
(Actually my english is not good maybe you can't understand my point if yes plz tell me)
Yes you can
Hello, can you suggest, how to enter the data in SPSS if we want to make a within-country mixed-effects logistic regression model for the two factors? Comparing two countries to see which one scores better than the other one in conserving the environment. The variables are dichotomous.
Create a variable named Country, along with the other variables in your study. Next, Split the file by Country and then perform the Logistic Regression for Country wise analysis.
@@researchwithfawad Awesome. Thanks a lot :)
Thanks. I am glad it was helpful.
In the first table for the Hosmer and Lemeshow test the significance is .962 - you said this is significant in the video? But its not because its higher than 0.05? Confused?
Please watch again, it is a poor fit if the value is less than 0.05
Many thanks. Is there any limit on the number of covariates?
Pleasure. In my knowledge there isn't any limit
Pls i need urgent help. I want to perform exact logistics regression due to my sample test but i don't know how to on spss. I will appreciate it if you could guide me through please. Thank you
Hi. The video provides a thorough guide on logistics regression. Otherwise, I do offer paid online e coaching sessions. If interested, you can email me on kh.fawad83@gmail.com
Thank you so much Mr. Fawad for this excellent video. I wanted to kindly ask you about my model fit. I looked at the Omnibus Tests and they're all (3) significant (
Thanks. I am glad you liked it.
If you have moderators, you can use Hayes Process Macro.
If you want to do it using Binary Logistic menu option, you will have to manually perform moderation.
As for fit, you can mention it in results and also note that one condition was satisfied while the other was not satisfied.
