The question is, will it absorb the hits when you jump to grind something then instead on landing on the pegs, but you landed on the hub guards?! Because they are exposed outside.
So that's what I was concerned about but if that's a worry I would probably recommend shorter pegs also it shouldn't bend the axle because it's still pressed against the frame and I haven't heard any bad reports on it so it should be fine
I've had no problems with mine but I won't use it on concrete just on metal so I don't have to hear the steel guard smashing onto the rail or whatever.

Wouldn't these style of guards cause your axles to bend after a while since your pegs are further out instead of resting flush with the drop outs?

They broke after like 2 months and I am beginner so idk. I installed them properly

can you put the guard in between the frame and the hub?
while it may seem like a good idea, doing this can actually pinch your hub bearings. i’d keep mine on the outside of the dropout if i were you
On some bikes it doesn't fit between frame and wheel
