@@cerisem7727A movie would've be awesome. Nightfire doesn't have Peirce's voice so its not really a fair way to say that. Everything Or Nothing had Dafoe just off playing Goblin in Spider Man 2 years prior. That's almost likely actual reason to make him a movie villain but in this case a game. Dont get me wrong I love Agent Under Fire and Nightfire but to me Everything Or Nothing was a action pack game with the perfect combination or action fighting, shooting, car driving/motorcycle. It always amazes me how to Moore an invisible car crossed the line when his films had: a voodoo priest, a flying car, a giant who was borderline immortal, a space station complete with laser gun battles in space, him Tarzan yelling and dressing in a clown amongst other things
I know - I thought the same thing! I do love Moore as Bond, but he was hardly one to talk when criticising this. Die Another Day can be seen as Brosnan’s Moonraker.
Don't forget movie Bond in general always gets equipped with exactly those convoluted gadgets he specifically needs once during the mission... Moore has a bit of a point tho, if you rephrase it to "the more practical and honest some particular bit of a movie is, the more appropriate it feels for the overall Bond theming". Example: Driving a tank through post cold war St. Petersburg in broad daylight while probably killing a lot more innocents than necessary is certainly as unrealistic and over the top as invisible cars, diamond-powered lasers, DNA surgery, power-suits, and space battles, but the sheer practicality and honesty of the tank chase set piece lends enough realism to it that it just works better in the setting. And, well, DAD unfortunately combines so many mismatches with the Bond theming that you just can't avoid rolling your eyes at some. So yea, in that regard it feels like Brosnan was well on the way to become the second clown Bond with DAD, even if that wasn't where he saw himself with the role, or where it would have gone had Brosnan remained. I'm feeling Moore here; but he doesn't exactly have the high ground.
@@KyoukiJuuno well personally I see that the car wasn’t an issue so much as some of the things in the film such as the poor CGI. And the laser is nothing new, in Diamonds are Forever, Blofeld used his own diamond encrusted laser only for the purpose of destroying nukes and then attacking cities
