What an amazing transformation! Creating such a beautiful spot by removing all the mismatched paving and stones and replacing them with new stones. The ingenious way you raised the height of the arch was perfect. Once the climbers have grown up the framework it will be stunning. You have such a lovely home and garden and have obviously thought out every detail so carefully. Thank you for such a relaxing video. Sophie.
Hi Sophie, thank you for your lovely comment. I imagined the climbers covering the arch too. One of them is evergreen, so there should be some interest there even in the winter months.
The transformation is lovely but I would have turned the cracked pot the other way and painted the raised flower bed. But that’s me being too picky. Enjoy, very tranquil place to have a cuppa and daydream 👍🥰
I really enjoyed your video no talking you got right to business this is truly soft creative area❤️ Peaceful beautiful and inviting. Thank you for sharing.
That is lovely seating area. I did something very similar next to my garage, it's shaded and near my birdbath, it's my favorite place to sit. Enjoy your newly created spot.
You have created a beautiful spot to daydream and that is exactly what I like to do. Have a cozy pretty area to sit, sip and just daydream. Happy Sunday.
Beautiful! Big or small any space can be beautiful. I love the stonework in the background of the house and the mismatched pots. That adds to the charm.
Your little doggy is almost a match for mine . Currently recovering from a replacement hip , he's only 18 months so can't wait until we can get back to him in the garden . Lovely transformation looks great ❤
Oh, welcome! Whenever people mention where they're from, I look it up on the map. Your town has some beautiful old buildings. I love old shop fronts and saw some nice images of restored ones.
What are growing under the white netting ? This is such a big project i rescued 11 yr old lhasa apso from local ound march 26 she has been there since March 4. She was adopted from 11 yrs ago. Fate would have her be mine now. Never had a lhasa before. She's very chill calm watchful. She has some hearing loss and a big ball of fluffy softness like your dog. Big separation anxiety. It's been awful hot here in ky for awhile. I've not had hummingbirds or bees for some reason but yellow finches are loving the red coneflower. Your new created space is lovely. Don't be a stranger.
Thank you for your comment and for sharing about your dog. Humphrey has various anxieties too, separation being one of them. I'm growing cabbage and cauliflower under the netting. Unlike you, we've had a very wet and cold start to the summer. Hopefully, the sun will start to shine soon.🤞
Always in awe of your skills. You do have the magic touch. :) It looks amazing and how great it must feel to sit there. Have a great week and looking forward to your next video.
I am so glad I found your channel. You remind me of me! always working doing little things to make our gardens and spaces special. The transformation is lovely and like your style, very romantic and yet simple. I have enjoyed your video and your dog with that beautiful background sound of nature and birds. 🥰
Hello and welcome! I'm glad to hear from a fellow person who is always busy doing 'little things.' That definitely sums me up! My dog, Humphrey, likes to be in the garden all the time too.
Oh, that is such a good idea. I'm always moving things around, which is why I have the trolley but the trolley doesn't help when I can't lift the item into it. Thank you!
Those beautiful foxgloves were saved for your vase, but I am sure you know that they are poisonous if eaten, so be careful with your beautiful dog, and the bees are loving all the ones still in your garden. Love all your wonderful pots and plants. xxx
Thank you! I'm very lucky that Humphrey isn't interested in eating the plants. He does love to get in the strawberry patch though ;-) Most of the pots in this video came from my old neighbour. They didn't want them anymore and offered them to me because they knew I loved gardening. I felt like I'd won the lottery!
You could pour concrete into appropriate sized pots with rebar running up alongside the arch and attach the arch to the rebar with heavy duty zip ties. I did something similar in an open area but concreted the rebar into the ground through drainage pipes. It’s still solid after five years. Just an idea. Your result is beautiful.
It will absolutely be a lovely place to dream!! I have to tell you it gives me hope to see someone else who struggles with pots and pavers as I do the same myself, and I had to laugh when I saw your cart for the firewood because I have the exact same one. You inspire me!! Thank you. :)
Thank you for your comment! I definitely struggle with pots. I also struggle to turn my cart around our narrow paths. The things we do for a beautiful garden ;-)
You work so diligently and hard to create a gorgeous garden to relax in!!! I loved this video!!! I will stay a true subscriber! From over the pond! I love your ideas, so creative ! I also love how you work with your flowers! Not trying to outdo yourself, making it simple but luxurious!!! My name is Gail and I'm from hot and humid Indiana! Very hard to grow flowers here! I do have black walnut trees also which do not help me at all! I just keep trying until it works! : ) Please keep creating!!! : )
Hi Gail, thank you for your lovely comment and for subscribing! I grew up in Australia, so I have memories of extreme heat. It can be a struggle! We discovered we have a black walnut tree in our garden. It took us a while to identify it as it doesn't produce much and isn't a common tree in our area. Hopefully, I have things planted far enough away from it because I did read that things don't like to grow near them. Thanks again!
Hi, I'm not sure which plant you are interested in. If you let me know when it appears in the video, I can let you know as I know the names of most of them or have kept the plant tags.
Another beautiful and inspirational video thank you for sharing and well done you on all your hard work such a lovely result. Please could I ask what type/name of hydrangea it is you have planted to go up the arch? Thanks Alison xx
Thank you! I got the arch from Amazon and the brand is GueTTO. We were so limited in choice because we needed one a certain width and also couldn't sink them into the ground due to our drainage system. My only worry is a join in the centre, which makes me a little concerned about how sturdy it will be.
Great videos sincerest question no ill will why don't you show yourself. I think you should be so proud of your talent and skill the world should see the person behind all this work. Do you have camera fright Do you think you are not worth seeing. Please do not think so get your self confidence look at other videos see how they do it and follow the good ones .I support you because the contnt is good . Remember sincerely I mean nothing but encouragement and growth. Willlove to hear from you.
Hello, there are a few reasons why I chose not to be in the film. The main one is that I really want the videos to be about the beauty I find in living a simple home life and feel if I appear in them, it would only be a distraction. All the best and thank you for your support, Claire
Okay, I’m going to be the naysayer here. Everything you’ve done looks spot on, but the arch looks flimsy imho. Things today just don’t have the strength or design elements to match your older pieces. Sorry…
Nothing to apologise for. 😊 I was disappointed to see there was a join in the middle, which makes it weaker from the outset. I have a couple of ideas on how I can strengthen it if needed.🤞

I like your video for not being filled with endless unwanted chat. It's all about what you're doing so very enjoyable.

Your video’s are always so inspiring. All the hard work achieved such a beautiful and peaceful environment. Thank you. 🦘
I seem to forget the work that goes into things really quickly...an easy thing to do when drinking a coffee with the flowers and birds.
What a lovely project. You’ve created a beautiful daydreaming spot right outside your back door.
Thank you, I imagine it's going to be a popular spot ;-)
What a beautiful transfornation Sophie. Luv to see it in the night with the lights on ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! We only get a few hours of twilight between 12-3 am, but will be sure to show you the area lit up when the nights get longer.

@@BoundaryRoad It sure is special. 🐦🐦
Love it, you have a great taste, not overcrowded….
And the ,,supervisor “ is just adorable and well behaved 💐
Thank you! 🤗 It was nice to get the pots in place, giving each of them their own space. I like the term supervisor for Humphrey - it suits him.
So, so nice. Thank you for sharing. From Belgium
Hello and thank you! 😊
Nos encantó gracias por compartir ye inspirarnos ❤️👍🇻🇪💯😊
¡Gracias eres bienvenido!
Beautiful! Big or small any space can be beautiful. I love the stonework in the background of the house and the mismatched pots. That adds to the charm.
Thank you! It took me a while to realise the space could fit a table and not just be a walkway.
@@BoundaryRoad I am always looking for ideas to spruce up my patio.
Such a lovely space, looks like it’s been there for years. It will be amazing when the climbers grow over the arch. Absolutely beautiful. X

A nice reading nook.
That was a lot of hard work but so worth it. You could have used a dolly to help with moving all those plants. 😊
