Best combo ever is this foundation + first aid beauty coconut smoothie primer + fenty powder. It looks PERFECT.
Sounds great but what about spf?
@@sharroon7574 I use image skincare spf under my foundation!
@@whitneyhoustonnnnnnn I just worry that if I use a primer it will remove the spf in places but I wish I could make it work.
@@sharroon7574 is suggest a matte primer and let it dry down before beginning your makeup!
@@sharroon7574 as long as you allow your SPF time to dry down and settle into your skin (10-15 minutes is a good bet) putting a primer over it won't move it around :)

I've already worn this foundation several times and I love it. I'm usually content with my Holy Grail Estee Lauder Double Wear (which has been my favorite foundation for nearly 10 years) but I was waiting for your review because you are only one of two UA-camrs that I completely trust when reviewing products that might be compatible with my combination/oily skin.
And everything you've mentioned is completely spot on. I was definitely shocked that it blurred my pores so effortlessly; and when I accidentally fell asleep with it on and woke up a few hours later, I was completely surprised that it did not transfer or move. It looked absolutely fantastic. ELDW is the only other foundation that has remained completely intact after sleeping.
I'm beginning to think ELDW's reign as my HG may finally come to an end.

Definitely give it a go. I was a bit hesitant because some of the early reviews mentioned the foundation not being long wearing or breaking up fairly quickly.
However, as someone who has combo skin, I've gone through two bottles of the Nars Natural Radiant Foundation and enjoyed it. I figured the Soft Matte should work for me as well. I'm glad I took that chance.
I have to agree with Cassie in expressing how I haven't been this excited and impressed by a foundation in a long time. And most importantly, it does not move under my mask -- even after hours of sweating.
I'm new here but I really want to thank you for this comment. I've recently started stepping up my beauty game (finally got my hair looking incredible!), and I've been so confused as to which "good" foundation I should use. ELDW and NARS are always on lists for oily skin like mine, but I've always been hesitant to splurge on a product that may not work. I don't know why but your words have convinced me to take the plunge. So thank you for helping this stranger out!
My skin is really oily in the tzone and I have mature skin. I love this so much. I wear it everyday even with a mask. I sheer it out with a beauty blender and It’s awesome. I recommend not to set it with powder even if you’re really oily. Try to powder only in the tzone. Too much powder with this foundation will dry out your skin and make it even more oily. As a result your skin will look extra oily at the end of the day and the foundation won’t wear well. Also apply one bit at a time and blend it before moving to another area. It dries really fast.
When I find my “holy grail” products, I always buy a few more just in case they end up changing the formula for some stupid reason or discontinue it.... I doubt they will with this, but who knows. So happy you found something that makes you feel amazing Cassie!
Omg girl. Same! I always buy back ups when I find HGs. I have oily skin but am in love with the WnW tinted hydrator and KVD good apple balm.
I have to say, although its on camera, that has to be the best looking foundation you ever tried. It looks so flawless and just soft and smooth.
I have combination skin and this definitely works well and doesn’t cling to my dry patches and also it doesn’t make my skin feel tight and dehydrated like matte foundation normally does on me.

I literally just do 3 teeny tiny dots in total on cheeks and forehead and that is it. I love this foundation sooo much and i have dry skin but with my purito spf it helped a lot not making it too matte on my dry skin. Just absolutely love this foundation.
I also use damp sponge because i prefer sheer to medium coverage. I find i dont even need concealer for under eyes with this. A+ in my book.
I just bought this and am also so impressed! I had seen VERY mixed reviews - some saying it’s the best and others saying they cannot believe NARS made something so bad. I wonder what it is the that makes it work so well for some people and bad for others. I would have guessed oiliness but o watched another UA-camr who had been on roaccutane and had very dry and dehydrated skin and also loved it.
I have dry skin and still love tbis foundation. I prime and se accordingly and when i want sheer i use a damp sponge. I love this foundation.
This foundation has become my second holy grail foundation. First one is Estée Lauder DW and this is has beaten out all the others I own, which I have a ton that I do like. I can wear it for soooo long and still looks amazing on my incredibly oily skin.

Thinking that this seems like maybe one of your top 3 best foundation reviews got me thinking, I'd be interested to see some all-time faves videos - foundations, lip products, mascaras, etc. You could break them down as much as you wanted (e.g., drugstore vs. high-end, liquid lipstick vs. bullets vs. glosses, eyeshadow palettes in neutrals vs. colors)...

I’ve seen this reviewed by more mature/dry skin influencers who hate it- but made me think anyone with really oily, younger skin would love it.
I’m oily mature skin and it was horrible for me. Patchy. Rubbed off, polka dot pores. Just bad. Lol.

I found you because I looked up the soft matte foundation. I have the oily skin issue, and feel like our texture is similar. Girl, I laughed so much during the video, you cracked me up. Heck yes, that foundation looked amazing! I’m definitely gonna have to try this one. I’m glad it worked out for you. It’s not shine proof for sure but it doesn’t make it look caked or change the texture. I think the shine kinda blurs the pores lol. Este Lauder 1N2 is perfect for me and I have heard you say that is your color and... Revlon colorstay oily combo in 180 sand beige is also really good, odd because they look so different really. That color is perfect on you of the Nars foundation. Maybe a tad light but once you get it all put together with other makeup 💄 blush etc it’s beautiful. Your eyes are sooo pretty. Those lips 👄 & color pop. Nice.
I just got this for my birthday yesterday! I’m so excited, I usually love the nars sheer glow as the colour match is perfect but always wanted it to be a bit more coverage and more suited to my oiliness! Just put some on and so far so good! 😍

I tried a foundation sample this week that impressed me greatly too; it was my very first Lancome product; I was so impressed, that I went out, and picked up the Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear foundation very soon after sampling it! I was also thrilled to discover that I was able to redeem points from my drugstore card so, this time, my foundation purchase was free (except for the taxes)! Here's hoping that our new foundations continue to work out well for both of us! Thanks for sharing your fabulous review results, missie! I am sure there are viewers with similar complexion types who now also want to try this Nars foundation! I have normal, aging skin, and I recommend the Lancome foundation as well! I usually look up skin products on cosDNA. The website rates ingredients in products based on carcinogens, acneic products, etc. from 1-10. I stay away from products that have high acneic properties.
