What do you get when you put a soul singer in a progressive metal band? Chills. You get chills. And tears.
I don't think I've ever seen Wolf here tear up. It's the song and the band to feel it though, I can't listen to Oceans in the background for this very reason. They're the kind of band that commands your attention and makes you FEEL something.
I knew Sistah would be crying. I'm not even a metal guy, but the insistence and emotional drama in her delivery, on top of that kickass band, I almost cried.
This song made me cry one of the first times I heard it too. I have pretty bad anxiety and lyrically I could relate the song to my anxiety and it hit me in a big way. Love it.
I own every album of Oceans of Slumber on vinyl. They're so incredibly powerful and unique, far too underappreciated! The album this song came off of was their best, in my opinion.
Can't wait for new Oceans of Slumber album. Love Cammie's voice, always gives me goosebumps.

I do have one issue with this video as a whole.... that comment you added "ok guys we get it...." That's pretty shitty TBH. I don't think its a competition. In a world where everyone is being nasty to each other, we don't need comments like that. Let them be happy and show their love. Disappointed in you. I thought you were better than that.
So that's meant to be a joke. Someone who would have an issue with their love wouldn't waste the time to make a 3 minute intro paying tribute to it. The premise being that we too are in love and are an interracial couple. That's also why there is a smirk 😏 there. It's a nod to suggest that we can relate to what they are feeling. That's the joke. When assessing someone's intent, you should be looking at the whole context and not just taking it at face value. If the world loses it's sense of humor we are doomed, so never stop laughing ✊🤘
Butcher Babe’s have an African American front woman as well, also i would consider OoS more of a prog metal band than a doom band imo
