You guys should do a video together! Not sure how close you live to one another but that might be fun and get Andy's mind off of things.

@@aliptak7213 I would pay special attention to a video with Mike & Andy. Lately I've kind of been focusing on my own camping and bushcraft, and trying to not rely on UA-cam as much as a source of outdoors enjoyment. However.... I do like Mike & Andy's video sharing very much.

Just watching this now a year later, hope your dad recovered well. This video reminded me of when my mum got a call in the middle of the night to inform that my dad had had a major stroke, he was switched off a week later, he was only 50. It was life changing. I am so glad your story had a brighter ending, but i did tear up a bit there, which is rare. You're a good son.

I have the same winnerwell fire pit and have no issues with wood, my suggestion is take out the mat you light the fire on, it will give you another 4 inches of coals.

Seeing our parents get older really sucks, but my heart is happy that your dad is ok and that you are close enough to get to him in any emergency. Fair play for ending the video how you did and for being honest about a personal matter, you didn’t have to do that. Best wishes to your old man for his recovery. Been watching the channel since lockdown times but this is my first comment. I’m from Medway so I’ve recognised a couple of the places where you’ve camped 🤫. I’ve wild camped loads, local and further afield, since I started watching your videos so cheers for the inspiration! Was already a big walker so it made sense to start camping as well.
Have you considered doing a wild camping video somewhere on the Swale? Done a lot of walking round there and it seems like one of the more remote parts of Kent, especially the Sheppey side. I don’t need to tell you how hard it is to get away from the hustle and bustle in this packed county of ours. Take care mate and thanks for all the amazing content!

Andy I'm sure so plenty of other people have reassured you already, as this video is two years old now. But a family emergency comes first. We appreciate you. We appreciate the honesty. And we're all good to know your father was alright.

Andy, you've got that bread making down to a perfect science. One of your most beautiful loaves I think! Just in general you've gotten really good at doing your content. I've been watching for a long time and it's been great to see you grow with how you do things and your own confidence! OH dear! So glad your Dad is ok, but still horrible that he'd been hit. Wishing him a quick and complete recovery. Hey, life happens, even for You Tube celebrities!

Just watching this a year later. Andy, you Sir are a true gent, and your videos are hands down, medicine. For what you've given us, you never need to apologise. Such an ally bloke 👍

Hey Andy, never the type of call any of us want to get. Glad it's nothing too serious and of course we all wish him a speedy recovery. For a new spot to camp that was lovely and seems really relaxing, is it a bit more local than the others you have access to?

Hi Andy 👋 mate 👍 I love watching your video clips as I wish I was in the same position just travelling around but unfortunately my health stops me at the moment but can't wait to get out

We were just finishing up breakfast and enjoying your video. I was about to write back that it's nice to hear you speak to us again. Then I noticed the comments and mentioned to my husband that something happened to your dad.
Thank you for explaining, but as others said you don't have to apologize. Real life happens to all of us. Sorry to hear what happened to your dad, and glad to hear he will be on the mend.
We live in NM and will be going to Santa Fe Nat'l Forest next week. We have a converted cargo trailer we use for camping. Can't wait to be able to have a fire pit. We've had fire band in the past camping there due to draught. We'll have a cupa and brew to you.😄
