A simple method is to attach a shackle ( ~1") opening mounted in the top hole in the transom bracket (either side). A cherry picker will lift it plenty high enough to get it on a truck, etc.. The transom bracket is more than strong enough.
Depending on the motor and shaft length it won't be perfectly horizontal, but can easily be straightened with very little effort if you need maximum clearance.

Hey Brandon, I am so thankful to take part in what you do. I have recently purchased a Johnson colt 1.2hp. Not sure what year model. The gas tank has a crack and I have a mechanic that is supposed to fix that. A question I have is, do you think this 1.2 ho would be sufficient for a plastic pelican bass raider 10e that I have. My goal is to get me to other places on the lake a little quicker without running down the battery for my trolling motor. It has a 30# thrust. Well I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

Well a colt is far superior to a trolling motor; if you are happy with trolling motor, you'll love one of these.

      If you're talking a pre-2000 engine, yes.

      Not gpod.
Drop the lower, and try again. This will tell you if the problem is the lower unit or the powerhead.
If powerhead, watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/Rtu5f7Q-nVA/v-deo.html
