Nice video bro! Thanks man i needed to see that. I have two Vietnamese centipedes and im tired of feeding them crickets so i decided to order 25 dubias. After watching this, it make since to breed them although my fiance is going to freak out lol. Thanks man you definitely earned a subscribe 😀
Nice....remind me of my colony when I started out with 10 small roaches. 2yrs later..I have 1000+...really easy to raise. What I do is I have 3 boxes for rotating. One box for babies that I recently removed from my adult, one for sub adult and one for adult. I even started a channel to video down different food I feed my dubia and other feeder in it
thank you! this video here has helped me create a massive blossoming colony of roaches....sometimes I have so many I cant use em all! i have made a few bucks with these things haha. so again I thank you for your great info. my Chameleon sure loves her Dubias!
Great video, very helpful. Question, I live in Miami Florida and Dubia roaches are illegal, do you know if discoids are the same and need the same requirements? Thanks
I have a spare zoomed adhesive heating pad/mat. Would it be acceptable to use as a heating source either on the inside or outside of the plastic container?
Such a great video. Curious though... are the roaches able to climb the side of the tubs? I have always kept mine in aquariums because I feared them escaping but that allows a lot of light and have never separated the males. I started with 2M/3F 2 years ago and now have about 100. I will move mine to the dark for sure and separate them. Hopefully I will have some success! Thank you so much for this.
I’ve done some research over the past couple weeks. Specifically Dubia roaches can’t climb smooth surfaces, this makes using any Walmart storage bin perfect. If you really wanna go overboard you can leave a line of packing tape around the sides. They enjoy the dark so a heat mat or tape does wonders. Other than that the video explains the rest of care procedure
Hey I just started my colony and was wondering if you have any suggestions on why they have not started to breed. I've had them for a month and they really don't seem to be breeding.thanks for any help
is there a form of heating i can use that does not require electricity, as the only place i can put them in a large quantity is the cabin at the back of the garden, which does not have power?
What do you do with the leftover males and females yoy dont need? They are to big for a leopard gecko and a jacksons chameleon... I'm just curious because that is my only last concern before i start breeding is wondering what to do with leftover males and females
Hi! Its really hard to find heat mats in our country and dubias need heat but i only live in a studio condo and i turn on the airconditioner every night
Start off with 35 females 15 males wait about a month they’re start breeding and it lol be good. I recommend dubia depot.com because they have starter colonies for 25 dollars it’s 100 roaches with females and males. It mimics an already started colony so they breed faster.
I cant get dubias bc apparently its illegal to have Dubias in florida idk why but I don't need them because I don't have any animals that feed on insects. Great video
Hi Evan. We buy and eat enough eggs that we buy eggs in 5 dozen boxes that each contain 3 egg crates I think, so I just save all of those. If you don't buy eggs in that form so you can save that packing, you can always order them online, here's an example but if you buy them online.. they are kinda spendy.. www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-5189/Corrugated-Bins/Egg-Filler-Flats-Paper-12-x-12?pricode=WY559&gadtype=pla&id=S-5189&gclid=Cj0KEQjwnv27BRCmuZqMg_Ddmt0BEiQAgeY1l4A5tt1yiE8Zi4J2mS-FiW3f4cENG2hYCD9FO0J0HKwaAiqF8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds
B. Dubias are good for the most part when it comes to nutrition for reptiles and other insectivores creatures but, i don't think dubias fits right in to my Tarantula arachnid hobby since they like to play possum all the time and doing the Mexican standoffs with my Tarantulas, Scorpions, and Centipedes which always waists lots of my time if i wanna see some Predator/Prey struggling action :/ Id say for reptiles only. I think I'll be switching to Eublaberus distanti soon since they don't play dead like possum just like dubias do..
"You want 5 females for each male. If that's only how it worked for us humans." This guy doesn't understand women because that sounds like utter hell. :P Good tutorial though, I appreciate the info.
Damn man … i need more dubia cockroaches best of all all sizes. I wish I had so many dubia cockroaches ... ☹️. I want to keep them together with tropical woodlice and jumptails. Unfortunately I have too many males and will soon get more dubia cockroaches and the males that are too many in an extra box can and I will not kill them. I am not sure if my chickens have to eat them first 🤔. I just want to keep watching ect 🧐.
Nooooooooooo it.wouldnt be nice.unless.the women can have 5 men....i mean us women could.be like.the.black widow .mate with.the.men and bite yalls heads off.when.done....and move to thenext lmmfao......naw but.serious great video and.i busted out laughing at that part about1 man.having 5 women .....lol
This is how you do a god damn breeding tutorial!
Watch n learn people, watch n learn
Thanks Kevin! Glad you liked my video!

Yo straight to the point and that’s it. Wish u made more! Looking to breed hornworms next
I just gave my dubia carrots! Thanks for the info
You can make a "coin size divider" to sort them by size. put in the small container divider to sift them.
Great video, very helpful. Question, I live in Miami Florida and Dubia roaches are illegal, do you know if discoids are the same and need the same requirements? Thanks
1:38 if you turn every other one around they will always leave a perfect space for the roaches without the risk of accidentally squeezing them
I guess I am kinda off topic but do anybody know a good site to watch newly released movies online?
@Lewis Judah I watch on FlixZone. Just google for it =)
@Lewis Judah i would suggest FlixZone. You can find it on google :)
This helped me a Lot cause I have quit a few reptiles
I have a spare zoomed adhesive heating pad/mat. Would it be acceptable to use as a heating source either on the inside or outside of the plastic container?

Is it really good too put a water dish? Even if you feed them a wet food?
Thanks, you make great videos
I don't sort mine at all does sorting make it so the babies have a higher chance of survival?
Super helpful! Thank you for making this! Though out of curiosity what do you do with the unused adult males?
Food ;)
How long does it take to breed them?
The more you have, the faster it should go, especially if the temperatures are right
If they like anything orange, can I feed them prescription pills?
SuperiorLobster 888 ?....
Anything orange
Ohyasme Black yea they really like carrots
Very helpful! Thanks!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFO!!!!!!
Are you adding new bloodlines ?
Awesome guide question how big is the ventilation for your tub?? Right now I'm down to a 4x4 because of the dryness of arizona
+Daniel Keum mine is about 4 inches by 4 inches and i just duct taped a piece of screen material to the underside of the lid, and it works great
+Zaxtor99 awesome thanks for that quick response
How often do you sort them?
Hey I just started my colony and was wondering if you have any suggestions on why they have not started to breed. I've had them for a month and they really don't seem to be breeding.thanks for any help
+Danny Coughlin I've heard that oranges help.

Hi! Its really hard to find heat mats in our country and dubias need heat but i only live in a studio condo and i turn on the airconditioner every night
Aaron Ramos get a cheap Walmart heater like he did I have one and it works great
If I'm feeding off ~300 roaches a month how many breeder females do I need?
Start off with 35 females 15 males wait about a month they’re start breeding and it lol be good. I recommend dubia depot.com because they have starter colonies for 25 dollars it’s 100 roaches with females and males. It mimics an already started colony so they breed faster.
Are bearded dragons able to eat male and female?
Why you can’t use those males ?? And how can you tell ?
If I’ve got 30 females and 15 males, do I have too many males??
yes thats to many. If you have 30 females then you only really need 6-8 males.
Yea get rid of about 6 or 7 males
Is Dubia roaches and Blaptica Dubia different ?
Its the same thing
I cant get dubias bc apparently its illegal to have Dubias in florida idk why but I don't need them because I don't have any animals that feed on insects. Great video
Ghoul Raiderthere illegal because Florida is humid and tropical so they can infest homes in Florida so you don’t really want them
Weirdbug 2471 Thanks for letting me know mate
Same info for discoid roaches?
whatever i do my dubia wont eat, any tips
great video thank you so much
can u put them in a glass tank?
where did you buy the screen from?
Does space heater raise your electricity bill a lot?
+Sara Chen - No, not at all, I think I looked it up and found that it costs about 35 cents a year at the level I run it at. It's very minimal
+Zaxtor99 wow! Only .35 cents?
The one I had raised it so so do bad!!!!!! I had to switch to a ceramic heater!
What is the purpose of water in the jar?
Were you not paying attention. He mentioned the reason like 2 or 3 times
Can u feed them fish flakes
eric siggins if you have pellets those would be better
How to see if a female is pregnant without her eggasck haning out?
They get fat. Old and non-pregnant lady roaches are flat and round-ish, pregnant Dubia females shine and are elongated and... well... fat.
The shaking looks really stressfull for them
why protein food not good for them?
High protein food is bad cuz roaches turn excess protein into uric acid which can kill the roach and hurt the animal that eats the roach
Where do you get your egg crates

If you know a carpenter or someone who installs things you can just ask for cardboard

👌👍
May I have 100 count roaches? 🤔
Your site is not longer available. 12/23/16

Do you sell your dubias fir breeding
There expensive though in Canada
I gave these guys mandarins and they didnt touch them overnight
But you just said you had 1 male and 3 females in the vid i just watched😐
How do you not know that they can’t climb smooth surfaces and your knowledge on them is low
Which part?
You didn't mention what you did with the extra male roaches.
C Bryce feed them to your reptiles, unless theyre too small, sell them...
I know exotics lair will see this
😁
Don't feed those to a bearded dragon! Oranges can harm them.
