If you were a swimmer or ran track such as distance races you would be able to do this with having asthma. Asthma doesn’t actually equate to having weak lungs. Asthma can cause weak lungs, but you can have strong lungs with asthma.

For some reason, I didn’t get the normal lack of oxygen feeling. I just got the urge to let myself breathe out. It got stronger over time, until I finally gave in to it, but that was weird
