You say inflation isn't rising, but that's misleading! Inflation is rising but the rate of the rise is lower. Inflation is rising and prices are rising. Talking about the rate change doesn't help people who are paying 30% more for food and way more for insurance. I think the SPY will stay under 564.85 until the Wed cut ….but the DJIA I saw a top of 42K so they still have a ways to go …but MSFT shows another potential 7 pts.. so i’m not sure how they can keep SPY near flat and while getting another 500+ for the Dow…so i’m still kinda scratching my head around that
For BRKA they even think they are over valued and are not buying back stock. However their insurance business I’m sure is doing very well. They all have utilities so both of those are doing well. Not really sure how you can compare today to 2008. The banks are all quite healthy. Banks were making tons of money on higher rates and not paying them out. People realize with cuts the banks won’t have all this free money
I don’t see anything that’s like 2008 risk. They have way better balance sheets. Maybe you have some inside knowledge of the next disaster but I don’t see it. Either did the bank stress test.
