I've just started watching Betty Hutton movies and I have enjoyed every one so far. I was never much for musicals but I wait for the music in her pictures. Very funny presentations by her and clever lyrics by the writers. This movie is a gem. I almost like it as much as "And the Angels Sing." That one is tough to follow.
Seen a lot of 40s movie musicals ....and NOBODY put her heart n soul into...well, she EXPLODED.
"Pop" is such a adorable old man! i'm really loving his character.
He reminds me of my grandfather in a way.

I especially enjoy movies from this era because of my parents. They married in 1945 while dad was on leave from the Navy, both were 21 years old.
Please download more Betty Hutton movies. She is a wonder to watch. And from what I heard she was the same woman in real life. It's too bad she's passed.

I just don't understand why they didn't bring back gloves and hats. Especially since COVID. Gloves are so delicate and resist all germs and Hats???? Well they are the classiest accessory ever!!!.
Great, watched this so I could watch & listen to Betty sing and they cut the sound for her songs... don't bother with this one.

I can't watch this without the sound! So revolting that the Music messes things up! I am a Pianist and was a child Prodigy but I detest the Music Industry because they pay the musicians virtually nothing. I worked for the largest Indie Label (at the time) and I wrote the Contracts and upped the Royalty Payments above what the going low rate was, How dare they pay the Musicians nothing and go after folks who want to use a few minutes of the music? Great film and it is a good restoration!

Pardon me to add to this part around 1:26:15 must be the nicest, where even older people act lovely. Mrs. Bates looks cute as an ideal who cannot easily be imitated as well.

As to the two muted songs , hard to believe that those copyrights would still be active. Other shows muted music just at the beginning perhaps to get around the problem? Would be nice if PizzaFlix would explain why these were silenced. The remaining 3 - 4 music pieces were not muted.

It started with her mother who didn't teach her much about life and how to handle her money right. She married men who got rich because of her, then her children believed she was at fault so they hated her.

Very disappointed that her musical numbers were intentionally muted. The audio resumed right after she finished singing 🤷🏻♀️ what was the point? Copyright issues? I stopped watching the movie.

"Danny" showed all the signs of being an abuser. His jealousy, mistrust, disrespect of "Judy" was classic abuser. Cutting her off and not allowing her to express herself was obviously part of his suppression of her. I like Don DeFore the actor, but "Danny" the character was hard to watch...

UA-cam won't play the songs! Some kind of copy right or something. I don't understand that if they play all that singing on the shows on t.v now. They let everyone hear that. And they let the band in the movie be heard! I don't get it!

I love Betty Hutton, but it is a very big same that the first two songs she sings with the band are incorrectly transferred. They cannot be heard. It sounds like the mono sound track was transferred to the two channel modern system in mono with the phase invented from one line and the sound cancels out completely.
