Mob's confusion at the lady's reaction at the apartment is one of the biggest parts of this episode to me. The way it was such an obviously different situation because of what her stalker was (human/spirit), but in Mob's eyes it was an entirely meaningless distinction. Why was it so easy to say "kill this family of three"? The ones saying it were just three people themselves. Being told to avoid fights, rely on others, do it himself, all at the same time. I like season 2 a whole lot, and I'm excited for you guys to finish and experience Season 3 with the rest of us.
Ben’s definitely not alone in being compelled by the story so strongly. It’s really well made but a lot of people still haven’t watched the show for themselves yet. It’s slowly growing in popularity but I think perhaps for the impression of the art style, it’s getting slept on by most potential viewers.
The reason Mob Psycho 100 has become my favorite anime of all time, it's because of his characters and the emotional situations, the things the show make us to think about and the messagge that it's ok not to be special, because our lives are ours and we are the main characters no matter what.
I am Japanese. After watching your video translated into Japanese, I really sympathized with Ben's opinion. Mob's line, wondering if someone will stop him, is very impressive. I think it's a feeling that comes out because Mob is different from other people and can do anything without good or evil if you really let yourself go with your emotions. I'm glad that Mob is a kind and rational boy, and I think it's sad that Mob has such great power. That's part of the mob's charm. I will continue to watch your videos. I'm using a translation app, so I'm sorry if the sentences are strange. I'm rooting for you!
Definitely feel the same way about Mob Psycho being a show that makes me feel emotions in such a unique way which is funny because of how the show tackles emotions as a story plot. The pacing, the characters, the music, the story. All of those things combined make the show my favorite anime to date!
The author One, has a way to right simply to understand things but deep. "Human beings are strong because we have the ability to change" themes like that are simple to understand, but deep.
See?? That's a sin against humanity! People should talk more about Mob Psycho 100!! They're sleeping on it so hard, because of "weird style", "onepunchman rip-off" and so on, but this show is so much more!! Yes, it is complex, yes, it makes you feel different things. And it's only the beginning! I really like the story-telling in Mob Psycho. I'm really glad you both are watching and enjoying it.
What you feeling about the show is pretty much how majority fans describe MP100, it's a great and emotional coming of age story first and then amazing fights and action.Hell, significant part of the fanbase favourite moments is slice-of-life and deeper introspection jnto characters. It's a minority parts of the watchers that most interesting in battles, coming from other shounens, but I find it kinda of shallow compared to what series actually offers.
The reason this is a personal favorite show of mine is precisely because it evokes very strong emotions, and often, on top of all that's technically good about it.
Mob Psychos's episodes always hit me really hard too. It's a strong reason for why I like it so much, I can go from laughing out loud really hard to crying my feelings out because of how connected I feel to the characters and themes and how relevant they are for anyone (or at least they should be). And then the animation and action are the cherry on top. So yeah, you're not alone guys. I feel things like that too with Mob. And even if no one else did it would still not be weird and be totally valid to feel whatever it is that you're feeling with anything in any situation.
Don't worry, you're not alone with that feeling you're getting! The reason why people may not mention it is because it's kinda difficult to explain?? So you often see the show recommended based on more the "superficial" aspects. (This is just what I think though, I could be wrong!)
I think the reason people bring up more surface level aspects when talking about the show is because it'll help people go in more blind and experience it in a more raw way, as in how when people recommend other shows like madoka magica, or the promised neverland the less that is said the better.
Just to throw it out here how I was recommended this show: I was told it is a "subversion of the character with superpowers genre," because the premise of it is an overpowered person who sucks at everything else in life besides his superpowers. And it is a show that tears down these common tropes to find a beating heart. This is what I was told, and it sold me instantly.
@@yoyoeldas its a nice courtesy to give a bone like that but after thinking a bit I would also be very superficial about the show when persuading someone to watch because the surprise of nuances like that is arguably part of the experience in watching this show as it surprises even the protagonist. But I'm someone that doesn't need much to start watching spending time recklessly.
I think a lot of people don’t like the idea that they could potentially harm someone or be problematic so it’s easy for people to ignore there darker sides or emotions that are harmful. This could potentially split someone. I’m not saying mob has DID but in the first season he is openly denying himself so when Ana said that those are his emotions or unresolved emotions it clicked. In this season you can see him start to handle those deep emotions. I wonder if mob exorcised families before but wasn’t actually considering things then.
I am curious, have you guys ever watched Mushoku Tensei? I don't mean as a reaction, I just think you guys may enjoy it on your own time! :) Ofc, I should mention, the protagonist starts off as repulsive and the anime does not hide that, or tone it down, so if separating fiction and reality is an issue, I'd advice staying away from it. However, personally, that show has had a deep impact on me, on par with Avatar the Last Airbender, and Ishigami from Kaguya Sama. For me, if one can handle adult themes, it has become my primary reccomendation. :)

I really like how much Mob is introspective as well as Reigen noticing how troubled he seems in this episode. It's nice to see.

[11:40] I agree with Anna. It's how all the characters, experiences and elements of the story impact Mob's personal growth.

One punch man rip of- mf it’s by the same guy??!?!
One punch man rip of- mf it’s by the same guy??!?!
That’s like saying fmab is a fma ripoff?
@@heartbeaten229 yeah, but people who say that usually mean it's a copypaste without any new ideas in it.
Last episode showed Mob's relationship with spirits.
This one showed his relationship with humans.
Anna got so emotional at 10:17-10:25 She's such a sweetheart!

I like the body improvement clubs theme music.
It's badass AF.
And so it begins. Season 2 just gets darker and darker from this point. Brace yourselfs! o_O
