I first saw AJ Allmendinger racing in Champ Car. In fact they were the first Champ Car races I had ever watched. And he went on a tear of, I think, four race wins in a row. Dominating wins. Each time in Victory Lane he had the ‘happiest kid ever on Earth’ look on his face, which made him immediately a guy you want to root for. He’s been such a joy to watch going thru his career. Even in the bad times such as when he had to leave Penske, he owned it all & got right to work on coming back.
AJ could have raced anywhere. In ANY series. I’m thankful that he’s in NASCAR. He’s one of the few guys in the field that doesn’t just say ‘heart on his sleeve’… he lives it.

AJ Allmendinger has always been one of my favorite personalities. He usually has a very positive outlook, great sense of humor and appreciates the opportunities that was presented to him. Nothing wrong with him crying during wins, it shows he is human and is grateful for his success.

The main part of the conversation between Kenny and AJ that I liked the most was their explaining the emotional side of being a professional race car driver and the way they explained the human side to National and International auto racing 😊😅😮😢😂😊❤😊❤😊❤

My son Zach Sturniolo is a reporter for NASCAR and he was able to get me and my boyfriend VIP passes for The Roval Xfinity race last year. It was an amazing experience. I was sooo lucky to be standing right where AJ was by the gate making his way to get up to the stage for driver introductions. He not only smiled for the pic but winked and pointed at us knowing we had the camera on him. It was very cool standing right by his car on Pit Road prior to the race. I cannot even tell you how fabulous it was seeing AJ winning and getting the 🏁. As if that wasn’t already the best, I got to Victory Lane just when AJ was driving past me to park in the Winner’s Circle. I was able to photograph that exact moment right then and there. I was originally scheduled to go again, but at the at ther moment wasn’t able to attend in person. However thrill of watching AJ win the Roval Cup series. Congratulations on his new baby boy

Became an A.J. fan during his rookie year in 07. I was trying to get my younger brother into Nascar and he loved the Red Bull Cars so was always rooting for them to make the race so he'd want to watch. A.J,'s most recent win was the only one we've got to watch together so that was pretty cool. A win from A,J. is always an awesome thing.

Yeah the comment by AJ about whoever it was he was talking about is so true of most non-Nascar, fans and new fans both is their almost amazement that the drivers actually earn their income every year for driving raceways even though they (the fans) may have attended quite a few races at their local dirt, or paved short tracks without thinking 💭 but they don't stop 🛑 to realize that for some drivers driving race cars is way more than just a hobby it's how they are able to take care of themselves and their families 😊😅😮😢😂❤😂😊❤😊❤😊❤

This guy is so humble that: when he was racing for JTG he introduced himself in an impromptu atmosphere as, Anthony James to me as he was sitting down to have his first (of only two) beers with me and my buddy whom he knew as well, but as SPON as he he shouted to our mutual friend, "Have you got a cold one?!!" I KNEW who he was because of the many disciplines he had already driven in.
Another tidbit about AJ that some may or may not know is...at ONE point (or maybe he still is) he was an ordained minister.
Just to set the record straight, Kenny?
A patriarch is a strong MALE presence and a matriarch is a strong FEMALE presence.
Same idea... it's just a gender difference.

Sorry AJ. I’m a fan but Ty Gibbs is a punk. A lucky punk but he acts like punk, and acts like he never wants to be redeemable versus like Kyle Bush who just kept trying and he’s starting to get it right. TG makes me puke.
