Is a vacuum chamber useful when making epoxy projects?

- I invested in a vacuum chamber to remove bubbles from epoxy. This is a €200 model made by Baco (including the vacuum pump). This video is about the set-up and a first test to see if degassing actually makes a difference.

but what is the result or difference with vacuum before poring and applying heat with heatgun or flame 🤔
Hello Stephan, thank you for your video. I have a question I bought a very comparable model from Vevor, the pump looks exactly like the one you have. When I turn on my pump then after a few seconds a white oil mist starts to come out of the pump. Is it the same with your pump? I'm afraid that the pump somehow does not work properly. And also I think that it is not particularly beneficial to health.
Hello. I do have a bit of oil coming out to, but just some drops. I think it's unavoidable with those cheap pumps. Does it make a good vacuum?

11 mo late. But there is a video about what you describe. It's saying that much vapor coming is a indicator of a leak within the system.

I just bought the "Fraise 2 dents 2D 3D V-Carving Inlay 10° Pointe 0.5mm Queue 6mm" bit, but I can't find the VCarve parameters. Do any of your videos show your parameters?
My CNC machine is "RatRig 1510" (OpenBuilds GRBL).

Why do you think bubbles were in the 3rd one? Was it because the cup wasn't clean enough or didn't have mold release or something
After using it more, I learned that I should let the resin in vacuum for longer (about 10-15 min). All bubbles gone!
So if you were making a pyramid out of one to one resin. What would be the process. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😊🍻
So you are pouring resin in a pyramid-shaped mold? If the mold fits in the vacuum chamber, I would vacuum the whole thing for an hour or two.
