I have a plant that is similar to this Creeping Jenny but is RED in color. Starts out green on young shoots but turns deep red.. ANY IDEAS what it is?

What is the Latin name for the mosaic plant?

    • @PlantDoHomeGarden

The Latin name for the mosaic plant is "Ludwigia sedioides." It's known for its unique, mosaic-like pattern of leaves and is a popular choice for water gardens and ponds. If you have any more questions about this plant or others, feel free to ask! 🌿🌼

No use without the official names if you don't know the local (American) names.

I completely understand your perspective. Providing botanical or Latin names alongside common names is crucial for clarity, especially since common names can vary widely by region and can sometimes refer to multiple plants. In future content, I'll make sure to include both the common and botanical names for better reference and understanding. Thank you for your valuable feedback, and I appreciate your patience. Happy gardening! 🌱📚🌼
