We didn't all miss out on Cliff. I've been a fan since 1963. FYI there is even an American Fan Club. It is just that he never comes here. The infrequent times he has he is always sold out to SRO! It is very disheartening to be a US fan. I was lucky enough to finally get to see Cliff and the Shads in Denmark in 2009. I will probably never see him again but the trip was worth it!

Je garde un souvenir incroyable de cette soirée où j'étais jeune et enthousiaste. Il était très connu en France et était souvent en tête au hide parade pour des semaines. Besides being a fantastic singer/performer, Sir Richard is also a good person. He never fell into the drugs etc like so many top performers did and still do. No wonder he received knighthood from the queen. And the shadows are good people and top class musicians too.

But he did have a little affair with Carol who was Jet's wife. His parents found out and put a stop to it quickly. Many people think this incident has a great impact on him and his relationships with the opposite sex.
@@kit1544 Jet didn't exactly have any room to complain! He had a string of affairs, not least with Billie Davis who may well have saved his life when he was involved in the famous car crash.
so good, the reason Jet Harris left the shadows is because cliff sleept with his wife. Wouldn't call that a good person. But what i have seen of him, he seems to be a nice guy.

Mais ensemble, quel feu d'artifice! Honnêtement, je ne vois aucun exemple comparable. Au fait, ils étaient déjà des superstars alors que les Beatles et les Stones ne faisaient même pas encore parler d'eux (abstraction faite de la période hambourgeoise des Beatles). Depuis leurs débuts, ils sont restés incroyablement cool, élégants, accessibles et... so british.
Great performance and Huge respect to Frankie !! This song still sounds amazing many years later after it's release with Cliff Richard & The Shadows. People still love it !! What an explosive Era. IT's amazing that Frankie was right there with his fantastic contributions to the era !! Frankie had a feel like no other artist. This song still sounds great at my live gigs. (pre Covid) .. and it works well on the Cruise Ship gigs as well. My Students love to learn and play this song. If you need it transposed into a different key to make it easier to sing, i can help you with that as well. Gotta Love the Classics. ;-)
