  • I bought a barnfind 1975 Norton Commando. Last time it was a running motorcycle was in 1980. Engine is seized. This will be a series of videos getting it unstuck and getting it running back on the road. Enjoy the pain and joy associated with reviving and subsequently restoring an old vintage british bike. Enjoy!‪@bensbritishbikes5279‬

Just what I always love to do, freeze up my cylinder on a vintage motorcycle...

When you mumbled " also stuck up " concerning your stuck valves I thought you said " WTF " , which would have been
appropriate ! ! Had to rewind a few times.

I have a 74 Norton Commando that's about 99% original. Do you have any suggestions on how to keep the kickstarter rubber from sliding off after a couple of uses?

I would get a new one or handle bar tape

@@benvdh9658 Thanks, I'll try the bar tape. I hadn't thought of that. I've bought a couple of replacements from Classic British Spares but they still slide off after a few kicks.

@@benvdh9658 It's actually the Bonneville Shop, not CBS.
