    I feel like all these new places are kinda the same. Small rooms with everything squeezed in. I'd much rather have an older bigger room with metal security doors and a sea breeze for half the price.

    Kings please stop paying $700 for ANY condo. You control the market in Thailand and if you are willing to pay these prices, they will continue to rent them out for that price. Condos that were the most luxury 8 years ago are still in A1 condition and can be rented out for $150 to $200 less. People keeping wanting the newest, but fail to understand you can rent the same quality and amenities in Pattaya or a tad outside the centre for much cheaper. Things are only worth what foreigners are willing to pay.

    My best friend bought 2 condos here and suffers 'buyers regret'. I have visited him there so these are my honest impressions....The buildings are all too close together so the pool that goes all the way around is cold, freezing cold which is why you didn't see anyone swimming in it. I think only 1 of the other pools gets any sun to warm up the water. The rooftop is completely wasted space and no one goes up there. If you don't have a bike the development is very difficult to get to, there is no direct route from 3rd Road instead you have to go almost in a circle to get there, down side roads plagued with Soi dogs. The condos are very small, I think they are 25m2, the 1st one we saw might be 30 because it has a double balcony. I wouldn't buy a condo on the ground floor as most have sun loungers parked outside. The development does look impressive when you 1st see it but it suffers from significant design flaws......

    • @PetraCarter-bj7bd
      @PetraCarter-bj7bd Рік тому

      Interestingly the Global Top Group has started building a new development not too far away. It fixes some of the problems. There are only 4 blocks and they appear to be further apart and it has swimming pools on the roof and on all sides!!!!! They are also about 0.5M baht cheaper

    • @PetraCarter-bj7bd
      @PetraCarter-bj7bd Рік тому +2

      There's no changing rooms for the pools, no outside showers and no toilets on the roof. The outside pools have spa areas but they're all broken already....The whole development is very short of communal space and amenities

    • @PetraCarter-bj7bd
      @PetraCarter-bj7bd Рік тому +5

      The units are small with no storage and no power points and the fold down bed is an expensive optional extra (about £1K) - it also doesn't look very sturdy so I don't know how long it will last if you like 'aerobics'. If you don't want the fold down bed, then be aware that the storage surround is fitted......And don't get me started on the stupid slidey doors that don't even close properly....

    • @PetraCarter-bj7bd
      @PetraCarter-bj7bd Рік тому +2

      Anyone interested in buying here, then let me know as I know 2 units going very cheap!!!!

    • @maxbilo6191

      I used the swimming pool back in november and didn't feel it freezing.
      I was ok with the temperature even though that wasn't the hottest climate of Thailand
      To be honest though, I used the pool only once in a 3 months stay, but the only reason is I was skeeping very late and also waking up very late most of the time. And I would work on my computer for a while and by the time I finished working the sun would start going down and didn't feel like using the pool when it goes dark and silent and make noise with each and every sroke with my poor swimming technique 😅
      Almost everyday, there was a couple with their kid in the swimming pool and they always seemed to have great fun.
      The unit I was staying in In Barcelona building was ok sized. I don't know if was 30sqm or less but didn't feel living in a shoe box.
      Even thouhj, I wish it was bigger, but couldn't complain for a 3 months stay. If I were staying 1year or more, I would want something bigger.
      You're right there are no showers around the pool. But I think there's a shower in the gym, I'm not sure.
      As for the storage, I couldn't complain either as I had enough for myself. Maybe for a couple it would be different.
      There are a few stray dogs but I never saw moee than 3 together on ant single day I was there. Usually I saw only one or two stray dogs every time I left the condo to go do my errands at 7/11.
      But it's not easy to walk back and forth to 3rd road in that street.
      Overall, I would stay again and would recommend it as a holiday maker. But I woulldn't buy a unit to live there if I could afford. As an investment, I have zero competency to know what property is good for investment, so I would stay silent.

    Positive: reasonably well located. Well priced (IMO)
    Negative: Murphy bed (what are they thinking?), really small and inadequate gyms.
    Hmmm!
    I have decided to move back to Pattaya but have not decided where I will live. Quiet and a really good gym are big issues.
    Initially, I will stay at the Centara near Soi 6 but will have to find something more permanent, of course.

It is still cheap compared to the UK, but not that cheap for Thailand. I would probably follow the comments of others and either look to pay less or get more space with an older place. Thanks for the video though Daz.
