Looks amazing, great question about trail team plans. I think they’ll struggle for sales without a pro team giving them credibility. I love running in the road shoes, but would be hesitant to buy these over a trail proven brand unless reviews are outstanding.
I would love to try these out at Black Canyon 100k in February, I've been enjoying another German company's super trail shoe, but a little less stack height like on this one would be nice.
Plated trail shoes is such a controversial space . Interested though if puma can make something great . They are making some good shoes in the road space .
As someone who uses PUMA road shoes on trails, I’ve always said this brand could have some serious competition if they invest in the trail market a bit more.
Just not wet muddy conditions. Honestly for those conditions you need specific mud outsole and the other racing trail shoes have similarly set up smaller lugs for mostly dry condition outsoles.
@@MedicineRunner You know what. That's actually a very good point I've found PumaGrip outsoles to be superb in wet weather. Perhaps the lug depth isn't going to be a deal breaker.
@@OrdMandrell1 yea man it’s pretty impressive stuff. I was wearing saucony endorphin rifts until I almost ate it on a wet mountain side. Came back in the velocity nitro a week later and hit the same path, even wetter conditions, but without any slipping. Haven’t worn my Rifts since 😆
Thought that was Robe from Believe In the Run with blonde hair 🤣
Well done Alex. Lots of great questions adapted to the trail specificities.
Looks really good!

Sales will be fine as Puma have good credibility
Tom Evans and Adidas no longer together. Maybe he signed with Puma??
Looks like this will be perfect for Hyrox

I have puma fast trac apex for trail...they are amazing. What's the difference between these two models?
sounds like it's a plated trail shoe.
the cavity in the outsole will fill in on a muddy course and you’ll have a very heavy shoe. looks interesting for desert runs however.
o man these look nice can I use em on my local asfalt trail I dont really have the amazon forest here just a park 😆
Anything about the release date?
How firm did they make it? Their current trail shoes are way too soft for any rock protection
When velocity 4 is coming out?

For casual packed trails I found Velocity Nitro to be totally usable
Is their outsole better then Vibram?
Probably not but even their road shoes were totally usable for light trails because they are really good
First
Good job
@ 🤣
Pffft! 3.5mm lugs means it won't be usable for any mountain running or races. Pity.
Tell that Salomon and Nnormal

But it’s PUMA grip. I use the velocity nitro 3 on technical mountains here in West Virginia and it sticks to wet rocks and boulders without any lugs.

It looks great but This isn’t going to tempt me away from me ASICS MetaFuji
Interesting! Why is that?
